Most Nigerians operating in South Africa have multiple alternative bases and went there on their own hustling capacity. there will be lost of Job and all that but can't be compared to what SA is staking here. I cringe at naivety of those saying Nigeria is more at losing end. Without Nigeria, South African economy could be brought to a stand still in a very short time. Their intrest here runs into billion of dallars and I don't think there is any other country that consume south African product like Nigeria. From MTN , Multi-choice, Ericssion, MTI and bunch of Oil servicing orgnisation. . .these are major players in South African economy, an lost in profit could send their economy figures downward. Most Nigerians in Southi are professional and business mugol which can move to more safer ground within split of a second. @POST This is the best thing to do. I still believe the measure should be extended to all countries, irrespective of her might and advancement. E.g France, Italy, Chinia and whatever Bleep up country that is maltreating our people. Bros, the amount of money spent on defence budget does NOT in any way signify prowess and should NOT be use as the ONLY yardstick in determining capabilities between countries. Do you know the unit cost of a 5th generation chinese fighter jet? Compare the prices between let say US F22 raptor to chinese J20 or Russian Sukhoi 47. The cost of a single US jet could triple russian and chinese plane of thesame class! The US military hardwares are usually very expensive, hence, the high cost of defence. Besides, the US is involved in multiple wars i.e Afghan and Iraq wars which requires large amonut of money to nourish. The last time I checked, the war in Iraq is costing US 1 billion dollar/day to sustain. -360 billion dollars*** When you subtract the cost of fighting in Iraq and Afghan and remove the extra cash needed to cushion the high price of purchasing hardwares in US in relation to China, you would be left with no option than to give it to China. Secondly, have you factor in the disparaties between personnel welfare and allowances? Do you know the amount costing China to maintain a soldier on average basis? How much is the minimum wage in US? How much is the cost of training or retraining a single pilot in US in relation to China? All the aforemention must be considered before arriving at a good conclusion . . .You don't just look at blind figures and shout eureka! Do the math bro, do the math! If truely you believe what I wrote is "haphazard rants", then why wasting your "leisure hour" responding? Learn to stop digging when you are in a hole. The few points I put up there is a daylight truth, only a shameless dolt would be struggling with knowledge commonly known and easily obtainable by everybody. There is only two conclusion and way out for you, it is either: 1. You betrayed Ojukwu and acted like the vultures you are known for, or 2. Ojukwu was an utter failure that couldn't achieve any meaningful thing in his life time, either way, OBJ is million light years ahead of Ojukwu by all standards. It would amount to sheer dishonesty to place OBJ side be side with Ojukwu. OBJ single handedly pulled the political stunt that is making the so-called Ibos having the audacity to demand presidency, while Ojukwu was busy romancing with IBB over some few silver coins. Ojukwu was loved by his people yet he contested for senate and failed, contested for presidency and failed, start a political party APGA and failed, Supports IBB before PDP primaries and failed, was abandoned in the hospital in London with a lone Filipino nurse frustrated and dumb.
