My fourth yr's GP was about 3.7 and my skool doesn't publish final yr results, so I cant tel my final yr's GP until i get my transcript. So with 3.7 or 3.8 in ur fourth and final yrz,u getting a 2:1 Buh give urself a target of say 4.2,so incase u goof u wudnt fall below 3.7. Anyway, I wish U d best. Buh I must tel U,I had to add extra effort so I tink u shud do so too bro.

I have given you a guide... you will need to do your calculations yourself. You will need to be very objective and goal oriented but you can very well achieve a 2.1

your final cgpa, as you know, depends on every grade you have gotten from your first year to your final year.

1.Get a pen, paper and calculator (or better still, a simple excel sheet ) get a list of all the courses you have done so far, the number of units attached to each of them and the grades you scored. Calculate you cgpa till date
2. Get a list of the course you are going to do in your 4th and 5th year with the number of units attached to each course (ask your seniors if you do not have a copy of your school's prospectus :-) )
3. calculate your future results making sure you have As and Bs in the courses that carry the most weight (as described in my previous post)

Do the possible permutations and combinations then, you will be able to answer your question... AND have a goal to achieve!

I think it is still very possible for you to graduate with a 2-1. You, however, have to be very calculative.

Your cgpa is calculated based on the number of units and grade point...
A=5 points, B=4 points, C=3points...F=0 points.
You need to ensure that you ACE the courses with the highest units. getting an A in a one unit course is useless if you get an E in a 4 unit course.

For example, if you are doing 3 courses in 400 level first semester
course 1= 4units, course 2= 3units and course 3=1unit
if you get an A in course 1, a B in course 2 and a C in course 3

your GP for the semester will be (4*5+3*4+1*3)/(4+3+1) = 35/8 =4.38

if you get the same grades but reversed (C in course 1, B in course 2 and A in course 3)
your GP will be (4*3+3*4+1*5)/(4+3+1) = 29/8 =3.63

so, choose your battles well... Target the courses with the highest units and make sure you ace them... You do not have to get straight As but get the As where they matter.

i have tried this, and it worked.

i did it because i need a larger /system /data partitions for my experiments with other OS. and i don't mind losing the internal SD card space.
and i also hate the running out of data storage error common to crappy chinese software builds (cure to this is to remove the MTK logger apps and deodex your ROM btw)

Needed:

1. Ebr Tool from http://www2.zippyshare.com/v/92041031/file.html

3. Ebr 1 and Ebr 2 from your stock Rom. if u have a dump of your rom, u can also get it from there.




NOTE: This a clean slate hack. you will lose everything on the phone.

make backups of apps and app data via tool like titanium backup and copy onto your PC or external sdcard and remove that from the computer.

take a CWM backup and also copy that on your pc. (THIS IS NOT LIKELY TO BE USEFUL IN THE LONG RUN).



So unrar EBR tweak tool into a folder.

copy the Ebr 1 and Ebr 2 files from your stock Rom dump in the same folder.

run the tweak tool.

choose the size u want for your /data partition.

tool will mod the Ebr files and make backups of the original ones in that same folder with .bak extension


now copy the modded Ebr 1 and 2 back into your Stock rom folder(replace the stock ones with the modded ones.

use SPFT to flash the stock rom. (choose the format and download option)

flash and profit.



after reboot you can then setup your rom, root, install titanium or whatever software u used and restore your apps/app data.



If you earlier changed your IMEI, you will need to do it again.

at your own risk without any further advice or help from me, this could possibly work for other mediatek devices

4llerbuntu: i can't get my MIUI port to stop crashing yet. boots fine. but the graphical glitches are problematic.

i also cannot patch the framework.jar since the one in the stock ROm is 16Kb and contains nothing really.

i haven't found a MIUI device with this processor and specs that i can port. i cannot build a ROM since there is no sources


bottomline, don't hold your breath.

Maybe i'll try LEWA OS if i can find a similar device

It became a big issue with getting my port to work.

Even the processor self its actually 6582, not 8382 as they tried to put in the build.prop.

Droid tools always reports its a fake.

i could not use it as a base for a port, so i checked well and found the the framework.jar was 18kb

normally it should be around 10mb minimum


so i decided to look for the stock rom from ainol and found it here http://dl.vmall.com/c0da9jn35s


i flashed it and im looking at it well. i suspect already its much better than what i had earlier

waiting 4 roms to port to,hw is the new stock rom better?

by the way u can forget about good battery life on this device. the kernel is clocked at 567mhz MINIMUM freq.

I guess that's how they managed to make it seem like it runs smoothly. basically its like driving a car in gear 3 permanently.

oh no wonder I couldn't under clock it lesser than that,that means I was too quick to judge the battery life in my earlier post,when u dismantle and change d battery let us know,although its work time is about 5hours ,and i have used it to watch movies for 5hours,it is still OK, but something tells me d battery life will degrade soon,

u have to have CWM installed via MTK Droid Tools / SPFT

if you dont know anything about these two things i suggest you stop right there and not bother about any of this stuff.

u backup when you switch off, then hold up button and power till you boot into CWM

lol,I just used mtkdroidtools to do the backup, now I can flex,thanks. you mean one can change d battery of dz tab?I think say na inbuilt and can't be changed,how is DT possible?

i don't know of any ROM. i'm presently trying to port MIUI. if successful i will upload for you.







Please Take a CWM back up and install an alternate launcher before doing that. that rubbish launcher will stop working the moment u change DPI

you change DPI by installing "Root Explorer"


Root Explorer Method

Step 1: Open Root Explorer ("allow" superuser if first time loading) and you should be at the root partition. / Scroll down and select "system". You should now be located in /system.

Step 2: Select the "Mount R/W" button at the top. The "r/o" to the left of the button should change to "r/w".

Step 3: long press then copy it. paste it on sdcard as backup.

go back to /system Long press build.prop and "Open in Text Editor".

Step 4: Scroll about half way down and find the line "ro.sf.lcd_density=160". Change it to a value you like 178/213 (I'm tried 213 and everything is BIG). Don't go higher

Step 5: Select the "menu" button on your phone and then select "Save Changes". Root Explorer will make a nice build.prop.bak backup for you.

Step 6: reboot.








i don't know of other things for this device.......yet

like i said i don't intend to really use the tab. the screen was poorer than i thot it will be so its a tinkering device, it has been in permanent CWM since 7 this morning.

maybe when i take it apart and i change the battery to that of a real device i may use it a bit.... that's not till maybe weekend, depending on how much time i have

nice one bro, I've got cwm to do a backup but no image file to flash it,ur help is needed, and which available ROM can I flash on it?, lastly your steps are not detailed, I.e how do I change d DPI and d stuffs u mentioned above? I also have xposed installer and gravity box installed, abeg help me o, a lot of fins we have to deal with including maximising the battery life, I've under clocked it,but still looking for alternatives.thanks
