The ever busy Benin-Lagos expressway today is witnessing scanty vehicular movement because of the State governorship election holding today.

As early as 7am, there is heavy presence of armed security men including the Military, Police and Civil defence escorting election officials and materials to their various wards and units in readiness for the election.

Security agents also are seen in key areas around Benin to prevent breakdown of law and order in the state. commuters are stranded and walk several kilometres to get to their destination.

shops around Benin axis is under locks and keys because of the public holiday declared in the state.

we want to wish our Edo state brother a peaceful and successful election as they go to poll.
