RevenuesBoost: This picture was taken few years back and I still wonder why my parents still have same young look.
They've been married for 33 Years and still counting.
Growing up, I always ask myself if my parents never had quarrels. It's now that I come to the understanding that, yes they might have quarrels but always find a way to settle it peacefully without making us(the kids) aware of it.
I learnt from my parents that marriage can be a bed of roses. My Dad will be 60 Years Old on the 6th of July. Happy Birthday Dad and More Years to you!🎂🍾🥂. Nah woman hold marriage. Happy wife, happy home. But marry a terrible wife and experience hell |

PersonalDiary: Hy Fellow Nigerians,
I think I have accomplished all my missions in Nigeria and it's time for a new chapter. But I still have some bottlenecks to settle before making the best decision.
I'm late twenties.A Bsc holder. Here are my issues at the moment.
1. The right country to choose. 2. The right skill 3. In a serious relationship
My target countries are Australia & Canada but open to any European country( Schengen country) that would be good to start life as a family person and have an easier route to Permanent Residence or citizenship.
I'm a crypto trader and I don't think it's something that's viable overseas. Have been trying to learn Cyber security but I'm.not consistent with it. But would be open to learn any other skill that would ensure I settle properly and take care of myself and family.
On the last note, I'm in a serious relationship for the past 6 months and contemplating on getting married first before moving or moving first before adding any more load to my burden.
My friends advised me to end everything and save my head first because it won't be easy moving in as a spouse in a new country.
To be honest, I need to make a fast decision before the end of this year as everything seems to no longer move on my side at the moment since late last year, and I don't want to lose my savings before making the right decisions.
Looking forward to your valuable contributions why I read and make the most important decisions of my life at the moment. Japaying is always the best if you are going with rights to work. Wether UK, America, anywhere as long as you have the right to live and work. Most of those people saying abroad hard have no documents to live and work. For instance, in UK, with postgraduate study visa of 18months you go save about 40 Million naira in just that 18months Because you have rights to work you can do two jobs making like 2500 after tax You rent all inclusive bills room for 600 Eat with 200 Transport and phone data 100 Miscellaneous 300 That is 1200 remaining 1300 Save 1300 x 18 =£23,400 about 55M Is that not a good investment? |

brown3: How are you sure Atiku will support Obi president if Obi help Atiku to win, because it's only Obi that can help Atiku to actualize is dream to be president. It is simple logic. Atiku will definitely do two terms and then it will be the turn of the south and ofcourse who else best fits the position if not Obi. Politics is logic not sentiment. Atiku has more influence in the North and he has been a vice for 8 years. Let Obi combine with him |

Is it because this one will benefit your family, and friends, plus your village people.
Shior Recieve sense in Jesus name. There is no saint. Obi is not one either. We are talking about a force string enough to remove Tinubu. With Obi on the ballot I see Tinubu cruising to victory but with Atiku Obi ticket, no rigging will save Tinubu. |

Then Tinubu all the way to 2027
Now I can confirm that Obi is working for Tinubu
“There are already conversations going on to see how we can merge a lot of forces together. It’s not necessarily just Peter Obi and the Labour Party. It’s about Nigeria and how we can rescue the country,” he said."
Anybody with the least common sense should know that it is only Atiku /Obi ticket that can remove Tinubu.
Atiku has a strong hold on the north and OBi has on the south.
If obidients ever think that Obi will win this next election with merging with Atiku then they must be the greatest comedians of all time.
Obi can never near Aso Rock if he does not merge with Atiku. |

Politicians are solely for themselves and themselves alone.
Its looking more and more imPOssible for the agalu failure. Atiku has serious weight in the north and the north has larger numbers than South East if you must know. As I wrote, politics is not gragra. |

sweetkev: Yes, the only game changer will be Atiku/obi. But will Obi agree to be vice president after contesting as a presidential candidate in the last election ? That's why I said politics no be gragra, no be sentiment but a proper calculation. That he contested as president last time does not mean he can't be a vice this time. Furthermore, it will be for his own good cos of he divides the vote again by not merging with Atiku, Tinubu will easily win and he will never ever go near ado rock again except maybe in another 12 years. WHY? The north will claim it is their time after Tinubu rules for another 4years and that will be 8 years. Infact I will conclude that Obi is working for Tinubu if he contests again without merging with Atiku. |

Dead on Arrival.
Onky Atiku/Obi ticket can remove Tinubu.
Any other option is a waste of time and efforts.
And if Obi runs without Atiku it will be another easy pizzy for Tinubu.
Perhaps Tinubu don jazz Atiku and OBi never to agree on a joint ticket. |

Politics › Re: Tinubu Signs Bill Granting States Full Control Over Electricity by otherway: 4:38pm On Jun 28, 2025 |
bentenny: What you just implied is that what Tinubu signed into law is no different from what Buhari did in 2023 where the amended act gave states the authority or licence to generate, transmit and distribute electricity! This is simply a duplicated electricity act and an attempt to take the shine or credit from Buhari!
Tinubu should concentrate on state policing, resource control, electoral reforms.... No sir, Buhari SIGNED THE AMENDED CONSTITUTION meaning he accented that the constitution should be amended. Now Tinubu has actually signed the bill (not constitution) to allow state do the task. Now the state will now individually sign their own bill on how to go about it. |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Signs Bill Granting States Full Control Over Electricity by otherway: 3:13pm On Jun 28, 2025 |
bentenny: So which electricity act or amendment did the former president Buhari sign into law in 2023? Buhari signed the amended bill but Tinubu has now signed into law the actual bill to finally allow states 100% control. Now the last step is for the states to actually pass the state laws governing transmission, Generation and distribution. This is what the governmt should have done since 1960. Gradually, Nigeria is getting it right in terms of stable electricity |
Politics › Re: Tinubu Signs Bill Granting States Full Control Over Electricity by otherway: 3:04pm On Jun 28, 2025 |
onuman: Here it's ban for anyone who criticises Tinubu's act of abandonment of responsibilities. Tinubu promised that if he did not provide enough electricity before 2027, Nigerians should not vote for him in 2027. Now Tinubu is shying away from his promise through passing the buck to State governors. This is exactly what should have been done since 1960. Better late than never. |

The taxation system in UK is tough. They will milk you dry through taxation. But think of it... they is no natural resource in the country. So they rely heavily on taxes for their economy.
The US better! The way you people just type nonsense baffles me. Who says taxation is better in America and who told you US is better. I don't have the energy to argue with you but please go online and do a thorough search. I'm a resident of UK and I have 2 younger ones in America. |

I'll stop defending nonsense the day you guys also stop defending nonsense. Now I can see that you are intentional about not seeing the crux of the matter. Any woman has the right to leave any man at any time but you don't have that right to fool the man. The man is abroad killing himself to make sure you and the kids are OK... That is the responsibility he owes you. Your responsibility is to take care of the home front AND BE LOYAL. If for any reason you can't be loyal then move on. Don't fool the man thinking he has a loyal wife at home. If this is hard for you to comprehend then I have absolutely nothing else to say to you. |

Maysdevices: Keep playing, for five years, you must be a child or something
The problem with some of you men is that you do not know women are EXACTLY like you because they look different when women are actually worse, you do not know what it means to have a hole that needs filling. They are sneaky when aroused just like you and their libido cannot be bought with ANY amount of money. Women cheat on billionaires
As far you as a man can’t wait no matter how much is given to you, never expect a woman to the same. You are joking if you think money can tame the need for sex. You are either joking or are still immature in your thinking
If you think it’s a joke, go and ask married men in their 60’s; almost all their wives cheated even while they were there. Talk less of being absent for five years
Better start knowing women for who they are; they are just like men with ‘wo’ in front of the name I'm sure you read to respond but if you read to comprehend you won't write all these rethorical mombo jumbo. Go back and read my initial post and this time, read slowly so you can comprehend. |

Samantha125: So his wife's life should be on standstill because he selfishly decided to stay abroad all these years?
He probably impregnated another woman wherever he's based and I'm sure the wife had moved on with her life long time ago and was waiting for him to come back home so that she can finally break the news to him. Can't you see how funny you sound? It is a sacrifice she must make and if she feels she can't make such sacrifice she has no right to decieve the man. There could be a reason why the man had to stay that long and as long as the man is communicating and doing his financial duties to the family, the lady must reciprocate with loyalty. If she can't wait anymore then she needs to be upfront about it. Stop defending nonsense... There are toys these days so she could simply get a toy to do the job. |

Seun: My Fellow Nairalanders,
We have implemented a minimum post size of 40 characters in order to improve our content quality. We want people to patiently compose substantial replies before hitting the submit button. Based on your feedback, we may increase or decrease the limit in the future.
We have also extended the blocking period between members to 3 weeks, because many Nairalanders felt that the previous duration was too short.
Our automated system for dealing with spam and toxicity is now much smarter than it was in the beginning. It's now much less likely to take action against innocent posts. Alas, it is still far from perfect, so please be patient with us as we strive to make it more perfect.
- Seun. I thought this is just for the first page of every thread but when I tried responding to a post on page 3 of a thread I noticed it applies too. My opinion is that you limit it yo just first page of any thread cos if it cuts across all pages, it will reduce engagement and many threads won't go pass page 2 or 3. Sometimes we just need to write short responses but at least it makes sense to have a rich discussion on the first page of any thread. My opinion. |
