after reading all the posts in this thread i think i have come to the right place with my benz wahala

i have a 2004 c240. the ESP and SRS faults are showing.had the ESP since i bought the car .. but the SRS just comes on goes randomly... currently its been on for 2 days,..

one time the ESP webt off after i did the wheel alignment. since then i have change the lower arm and the car needs alignment again as the steering is a bit off... im guessing that would fix the ESP fault...

ok now all that above is just to give an overview of the other scoin scoin the car has...

my main concern is with the fan blowing very loud and constantly when i have the AC on.
one time in traffic a fault something bout undervoltage consumer defective with a battery sign came up... i switched off the AC and after a few mins the fault went off.

recently the switch/censor just under the radiator was discovered to have some cut wires which has been fixed but it didnt have any effect on the fan problem

The problem is back.. Some Rewire in suru lere on census close checked it out... Now if the AC is on for a while the fan starts blowing loud...

Fixed it all...enjoying the car now...but I'd still prefer a Honda

its the "best blackberry" ive used.. n i have used quite a few models... however ive always had an iphone or android as a 2nd phone. at the moment the Z10 has formed a nice partnership with my google nexus 4... at least all the annoyances of the previous bb models been fixed.. the constant hanging.. not so much the battery life but its a breath of fresh air to use a blackberry without having to wait for it to respond... the bb hub is intuitive .. makes peeping in an out of multiple messaging accounts a breeze. its a promising start for blackberry.

oh yea.. they bout to shoot themselves in the foot tho.. licensing BBM for iOS and android this summer... guess then we wont need to carry 2 phones

anyone know a competent mercedes mechanic in Lagos?

my experience with the 2004 c240 has been annoying! in under 2 months of owning it ive done the following:

changed transmission
changed EGS
fixed exhaust and installed catalyst
changed radiator bottle
changed gasket
changed upper radiator pipe
just upper arm and steering rack
and now there is a wiring issue that makes the fan blow loud.

it just always seems like as one thing is being fixed something else is waiting to break...

still need to change shocks and find a solution to the SRS fault code that the mech says i need to change the SRS on the steering

the mech seems competent but with every new fault i lose confidence.

now i dont even know if its just the car thats wack or its the mech.

im coming from a honda background where my EOD gave little or no issues ... all i had to worry about was routine service maintenance

jst wanted to experience the change and its been heartbreaking! not encouraged to explore a newer model MB ... may js go back to Honda when the frustration peaks... iv been uber patient.
