The records show that you are in physic/electronics in faculty of science, the mistake is from my2.uniport.edu.ng which is reclassifying your faculty as engineering, ICTC are making efforts to correct this.

Two yrs ago a close friend of mine changed 4rm pharm 2 mcb,nd he said dat he didn't repeat yr1. He had 2 change cos he culd no longa cope with pharm. He probably had a number of carry overs besides pharmacy to microbiology is like a demotion, my zino told me that when the pharmacy guys came to their department which was microbiology they were trying to form big boys. When results started coming and the original microbiology students were doing better the "big boys" had to start humbling themselves.

It is only after you see your results in second semester of year 1 that you will appreciate that unique uniport is not a big big talk, bobo juice things.

Deferment has its time which will be much later maybe in 4 - 6 months time, the underlying assumption is that you are register-able possessing currently all the required o levels without name inconsistencies and you must still pay for acceptance and accommodation plus the deferment fee.

Dressing is very important, if you go to an office with a funny hairstyle, wearing slippers, sagging, with ear phone in one ear, chewing gum, etc the officer in charge will walk you out.

Another thing is attitude, a chap was walked out because he just would not be reasonable. The university staff are not at your beck and call. They did not ask you to leave your house with your last naira to come around. If a problen is general; chances are that it will be resolved whether you complain or not. So if after complaining you hear come back next week, quietly leave instead of rudely asking why not today.

This issue of wrong faculties is from the handlers of my2.uniport, should not be an issue as it will be corrected by the time the data gets to ecampus.

Someone suggested that the environment in Nigeria is a big challenge for asthmatics; it was not until a visit to Europe in winter that we understood. Except for the evening second hand smoke from people on the street and the smell from electric heaters, there does not appear to be many other triggers. In Nigeria, the air is mostly hot, humid and sometimes static, the fumes from generators, okada, cars, lorries is another, dust especially as the rains are beginning to cease, then bush burning and burning of plastics alongside waste.

Unless something affects the average Nigerian personally there is an i don care mentality and a making of excuse, trading blames.

Its not easy, a lot of factors can trigger an attack, the key is to avoid them as much as possible. Presently use the ventolin inhaler made in pakistan and Asmanol tablets made in Nigeria. Piriton comes in once a while rarely while prednisolone is used maybe 1x in 6 months. Have stopped aminophyline injections which we used to mix with hydrocortisone no thanks to having a nebulizer. At the height of the asthma attacks then no other sickness came near my body which made me kinda wonder. It was so bad then that during my ssce id write paper 1 have an attack go get the injections and then go back for paper 2.

With better medical care and also knowledge, Asthma is not a fatal sickness; looking forward to seeing a permanent cure for it.
