Lost and defeated, he said '...but Nigerians too dey make fake products'....I said we make products but people term it fake because it doesnt have the same quality the ones from China and US have...besides, at least we make products - fake or not, what do Ghanaians make - Azonto! 2009 GDP for Nigeria was 336.2bn USD while for Ghana was 34.5bn USD.

GDP per capita for Nigeria was $2,300 while Ghana had $1,500 on 2009.

Unemployment rate for nigeria was 4.9% while Ghana had 11%

Exports from Nigeria was $76bn while Ghana had a whopping $5bn.

Rossikk: I don't think the psychological effects of colonialism in Nigeria were efficiently or sufficiently wiped away from the peoples' consciousness in the post independence period.

Unlike places like Ghana and Senegal which had real black consciousness, and were blessed with leaders like Kwame Nkrumah and Léopold Senghor who saw the importance of the decolonized African regaining his mental/racial self dignity, and respect for his heritage, Nigerian leaders were more interested in settling/manouvering internal political wrangles and rivalries, leaving aside the much needed racial re-orientation, racial healing, of society at large.

As for Fanti, the few ones that I've met that aren't dark skinned are more of caramel colour, than light skinned.

Anyway, there is nothing bad about being dark skinned - dark skin is the essence of one's African-ness. Be proud of it.. Gatts love for dark skinned women esp. Ghanaian women.

I've never met any light skinned Ghanaian that isn't mixed. Same with a lot of countries in West Africa.

Today I was happy to see on CNN the name of GHANA among BEST PLACES TO INVEST IN AFRICA 2013.
These countries were GHANA,BOSTWANA,KENYA,SOUTH AFRICA oops Nigeria was not listed here. Ghana is very different to all WEST AFRICAN NATIONS, Ghana is the only country there where everything is working.

Ghana has the highest HDI index in WEST AFRICA, best univerities and honest people. Unlike most west african states where theres all sorts of rubbish(wars,corruption etc..) Hence I said I wish Ghana was an ISLAND just CAPE VERDE or MADAGASCAR just to see our people away from bad people.

Sad trueth is NIGERIANS are fooling themselves here everyday by trying to emulate China or India. The westerners are keeping these fools happy by giving them FALSE CLAIMS. In 2050 Nigeria will overtake France,UK etc.ha ha am sure these countries are WAITING FOR NIGERIA
