Hello people, I would really appreciate ur help and advice as regards this topic.
I have a B.tech in Microbilogy but want to change my career. Reasons being that its not much of a big deal here in naija. While I was still in skool, I made up my mind to go into management but somewhere along the line I found serving in d finance dept of a telecoms company. After much talk with people who told me d benefits of accounting, I decided to register for ACCA (association of chartered certified accountants).
I was supposed to sit for my first paper december last year but I didn't. I registered again dis year for june exams (I went for lectures, bought d exam kit and study txt) but somewhere along d line I started losing interest again and I'm not quite sure I would be writing the exam dis june.
All I'm trying to say is dat I would love to have a career that offers me flexibility and not just some laid down rule. I have never tried management but I think it could offer me what I want.
So if u're a practising accountant or into management or have an idea about this, I would really need ur help. Thanks in advance
