Why not try rtx 50 series like 5070?
The cost may be a bit high but 50 series are much more effective and versatile than 40 series.

More power efficent too.
Check the pricing if it's not much different the 5070 will be your best bet. The DDR7 and DLSS 4 architecture is the graphic designers wet dream but the price is a big punch at the face.

Gaming desktop pc will always destroy gaming laptop but it does consume a lot of power.

Newer AMD Ryzen processors are head to head with Intel but don't go for older version.

The last time I used it I was always burnt by the heat coming out from it, proper hot plate.

I don’t believe it was a power surge. I noticed on a few occasions in the past, connectivity will drop and then when I check the app, it says your Starlink just powered on. So it looked like it was powering off and on intermittently.

It seems like something went bad in the router, maybe the power unit. And I think Starlink acknowledges that their routers, especially this Gen 2, is prone to failures like that.

Probably why they don’t hesitate to send replacements.

I am using gen 2 and I've never experienced that at all.
I am using power inverter too and my StarLink can be on for days without shutting it down or restarting it.

They sent me free router and a DHL paperwork to return the spoilt one in 4 days.
Living in sokoto bush where i couldn't do that, they charged me 144k after the four days limit passed.

Chinese socket power surge won't help you in most cases.
I either you get the one I posted above such can protect up to 3000 watts surge or the similar.
Better option is to switch over to power inverter.

My 2 cents.
