4. Even in Nigeria, Nigerian pastors and gospel artists calling him brother, martyr of faith, saying his message echoed our struggles.

5. He has digital footprints all over social media and you know the internet never forgets. So his messages has been etched in history



So when you say next generation will never know he existed, wrong talk. The guy don get official honours, memorials, currency bills in the making, global recognition, that’s immortalisation.

If you still dey say “but is it good or bad?” that’s another question. But question of being forgotten? No be so. He dey planted for history books already.

She was not smart enough. There was a time in that relationship when she was the courted bride, and source of happiness to the narcissistic Aliyu Abubakar in question. She enjoyed attention and huge sums of money from him on her request. She relaxed thinking it would continue forever, and now crying foul, seeking for help at media houses now that he has discovered a new gold mine sleeping with her daughter and sees her as conquered.

The thing is you never know when the billionaire would change. I also made the same mistake but I invested in so many high end gadgets so it was easy to liquidate them to sponsor my exit if not I would have remained a slave.

If you have ever worked for or with a narcissistic machavelian billionaire you would understand what she is going through.

These rich folks would do anything, I mean go as far as offering you a blank cheque to satisfy their curiosity and feed their egos if they want you either romantically or as a work partner. They never accept no for an answer as it bruises their ego.

Finally when they get what they want either you agreeing to marry them or work for them, few months or years down the line, they change drastically, seeing you as conquered individual. Seeking new adventures and thrills having bragged about buying you off. They treat you like a piece of rag, abandon you and your needs they once religiously took responsibility for.

A smart person would secretly stack funds or assets and save up bulk finance kept aside just in case the relationship goes South so you don't find yourself back in the trenches or endure untold manipulations, abuse and control but they just have a way of making you so comfortable you would think your prayers have been answered eternally until they find your replacement or get bored of your services. They begin treating you like trash despite your value and skills.

I have been a victim after being bought over as a graphic designer. I collapsed my structure and brand to work as an in-house personal assistant for a billionaire. The abuse and manipulation that would follow a year after, I would not wish that on an enemy. I counted my loss, took flight very early without preemption and ghosted till today.

I am stable now and that was the best decision I ever took swiftly without thinking twice.

What stands out here isn’t the project commissioning itself but the institutional respect she’s showing. For a lawmaker once suspended for confrontation, to return and follow due parliamentary process shows political growth.
Nigerians love drama more than governance, but Natasha just flipped the script from suspended senator to a progressive host.
I doubt if the Senate President would honor such invitation but If Akpabio actually attends that commissioning, that handshake photo will trend more than budget discussion

Nigeria sitting at number 3 means we’re officially working just to survive, not to live. The saddest part prices are rising like we’re earning in dollars. This list doesn’t even show the full pain, cost of living in Nigeria is high, but salary dey low yet Nigerians still wake up, hustle, smile, and dream big. Political class keeps pushing citizens whom elected them to the wall and squeezing life out of them through numerous taxes and harsh economic policies instead of soft landings, empathy, grants and favourable economic policies to create a thriving community. A time comes when there is an implosion and revolution, it is always inevitable.

I know we are derailing a bit but I'll just say you're making a big assumption about people who've travelled to Asia, Europe and US being effectively able to spend more money in Nigeria. In fact, this depends on the individual, some may have more disposable income than others, some just like to show off and struggle afterwards, some work 2 or 3 jobs and save just to spend in Nigeria. This is common across all developed countries including UK.


Also, income doesn’t automatically equal spending power. Yes,US incomes are generally higher than UK but so are their expenses. incomes in Europe and living costs tend to balance out similar to UK and people in Asian countries have lower incomes . So it would be presumptuous to generalise that people from these countries can spend more in Nigeria than those from the UK. Personal finances vary widely, regardless of country.

By the way, prudence is a good trait.

Thank you for your valid and logical input on this matter. Of a truth income and spending power varies among individuals, and prudence is a virtue. I just wanted to point out that culture plays a significant role as well. For example USA is widely known for being empathetic, willing to throw some change and tips around for a good cause and hey are also considered averagely as spend thrifts notwithstanding personal finances and personality traits. I don't want to drag or derail the thread but I guess you understand what I mean.

In another instance, the Yahoo boys if you are opportuned to come across and get to know how they deal you would notice majority of them are solely interested in clients from USA for a reason. Earning power, Giving culture and other factors as well.

So when you travel to UK, you can can throw your money around anyhow? What you mistake for miserly is actually prudence. They still need to go back to pay bills and credit card debt, this is the case in every developed country, oyinbo no send you message. Don't let anyone fool you about some big money that can be thrown around. They usually need to go back and work their butt off to regain as Nigerian holidays are not cheap.

I have seen better from those who traveled to Asia, Europe and even the USA. So you are basically emphasizing my point. Money is tight in the UK hence they are prudent in spending

I don't even fancy the UK, most of my relatives living in the UK for many years come home, yet they miserly as hell. Don't get me wrong I don't need their money but they have got this conservative culture imbibed in them. I don't want such life so you all can keep your visas

I take full payments before commencement, no questions!!! My clients are mostly through referrals, so if you can't trust me enough after being referred by your own acquaintances then no business!!! Most times when the work is done and delivered without upfront/down payment they discredit the work when deep down they actually know you did a good job just to evade payments.
