The students were asked to leave school, because of non-payment of fees.

They were doing strong head...

So, the authorities called in the Police.

I know you would soon chant 'corruption'...so let's lay a few facts. Universites in Nigeria are poorly funded...and the government does not have extra cash for them at all. So, fees .

If the university does not make life better for the students...then how do you expect them to provide for running costs, etc....

Sometimes, you Nigerians need to see the big picture.
In case you didn't notice the Op used the words "around the town". So those that had left the school premises where still assaulted for being students of the school and not for protesting or trespassing.
Don't be quick to pass judgement.

What's rather very annoying is that these guys are fetish.
Although I don't approve of the use of charms, but I doubt the court as the power to charge them over the use of charms. Maybe the customary courts though.
