ForValour:
He talked in the capacity of the CBN, as you can see in the topic, the CBN is clearly referenced. When you work in an organization, you have the responsibility not to make unguilded utterances. In this case, he can be called out for his tactless words. And you should understand the context before you jumb into any discussion.

Yes, he makes an image for the CBN. But is CBN solely responsible for fixing the issue of the economy? How about you speak to the insincerity of Customs in managing policies on importation? How about the hypocrisy of the various strata of the executive in handling the issue with homeland security, that has seen to an astronomical number of IDPs? How about we stop shunting when we have to wait out turn on queues?
It’s not his alone to fix, and that’s the point.

You imply it takes an individual like him to fix a multidimensional problem of this magnitude. How about you be objective sometimes?

I would like to know how to invest in oil and gas business. Can someone explain to me?

Read about the oil and gas value chain, and see the link wherein you can use an opportunity.

Just like the agribusiness, you can buy a farmland for rent, you can invest in farmers training, you can buy and sell seedlings, you can buy a truck for farm-to-market transport, and a lot more across the value chain.

Please can you explain to me why there's convergence between parallel market and official market. Because I don't seem to understand,Parallel market is lower than official market.. please I need your explanation to check something

There still exists competitive sales with supply on one side (the banks) than the other. The convergence can be safely attributed to marginal supplies to both.

Hopefully, you understand that the dollar is being subsidized from using our FX reserves. Second, the direct sales to BDC has cut off that fraud by commercial banks reselling at higher prices. Our oil production level has remained low, of which this forms almost 90% of our FX income. So the reality is, we’re not making enough USD to cater for the demand, but robbing Peter to pay Paul.

You're ignorant and misinformed !
Ladoja is the only one nurtured by the truth!
He remains relevant for his past antecedents.
Above all, Ladoja is the most favoured by the opinion polls by most people to ascend Olubadan stool.
It's a known fact Ajimobi bastardized Olubadan stool because of hate and envy of Ladoja who is in line to ascend the throne.
Ajimobi wanted Ladoja to bow for him by giving him the Crown but Ladoja is very intelligent and dodged the bullet.
Most Oyo people want Ladoja to become Olubadan because of the gang up against him for refusing to wear the small Crown !
Besides, Ladoja is the most Senior next in line to the throne.

You’re right on point. I couldn’t agree more.

The Olubadan has been his ultimate ambition and joined the queue decades even before he became a Governor. The Olubadan is his ultimate prize.

It's almost his time but not yet his turn. He will one day become the Olubadan and it will be historic because that will be the first time that a former democratically- elected Governor will become the Olubadan if not the first time a former democratically- elected Governor becomes a First Class Oba in Nigeria.

His position is clear enough that you can not have any other crown in Ibadan apart from the Olubadan and he rejected the crown the Governor gave him while other high chiefs collected it.

He’ll be the first to be former Senator of the FGN, democratically-elected ex governor, and a first class king. Only Ajimobi came close.

Thats where the problem is. It is the turn of a line not a person. If the senior person from that line is not available, does the line forfeit its turn or they go with the most senior person from the same line?

They go with the most senior person from the other line. If this story is true to go by, it’s safe to allege that the Otun Balogun just wants to usurp Ladoja without waiting for his turn. Age has never been a favorable criterion for anyone, so the fear of not being crowned the paramount ruler before passing away is making those high chiefs misbehave.

You can strongly predict that the surviving seven (7) will include:

UBA
FBN
Zenith
Stanbic IBTC
GTB
… and perhaps one other in that class of strength and stability.

For something to be valuable, it should have a use. What is the use of USDT outside crypto trading. Compare it with the use of actual USD (oil, exportation, loan, medical, tourism, etc.)

I don’t have any problem with USDT but it should not be used as exchange rate for Nigeria’s economy.

USDT is printed by a random company called Tether, same way you can print meme coins in BNB chain, by imputing a bunch of values and boom. Not saying USDT is from BNB network. It’s from Tether.

But the USD is printed by the United States Department of Treasury and is backed by the US government and military.

You need a better understanding of blockchain technology.

This is very wrong, see how they sat him down, a whole labour leader should not be treated that way.

He sure can be arrested if they have a warrant to do so, but sitting him this way is as common in Nigeria as has been done to anyone you can think of to have been arrested by the NPF.

Education / Re: Profs In Da House. Serious Question: How Does One Get A Lecturing Job In Nigeria by Owutuotuo(m): 5:22pm On Dec 28, 2023
First, a Master’s isn’t to the end that you get a lecturing job. It just helps tailor your academic interest, which may in turn be very helpful in a professional evironment. But of course, you need a Master’s degree to get a lecturing job.

The most I’ve seen of becoming an academic staff is through man-know-man and/or finishing top of the class. Albeit the department’s interest in bringing you on bird base on either or both of those two factors, a formal application will be required.

My opinion (subject to correction based on others’ experiences).

How about the environment? Anything can happen and diseases can infest. So you have to insure.

Social, Technological, Legal and Economic environment has to be sampled well before going into the business.

My two cents.
