Pacmandude: Hello there, yes I remember the story about how the two documents were submitted during your biometric appointment and you thought they would scan to UKBA. The TLS rep messed up big time because you should have been duly informed. Anyways no need crying over spilled milk, I believe you might have chosen the better option because unfortunately, (from what I have heard) tribunals sometimes take long and no guarantee of success. I know you have to spend a lot to reapply + additional for priority but it might be the best way to suppress the waiting tension. Please note that you do not pay for settlement priority visa on the UKBA website, you pay on TLS website (as a value-added service after registering your application on TLS) which is after submitting your application on UKBA. I sincerely wish you all the best!! |

Kakushia2: Great news, so happy for you. The wait is over, time to fly away into the sun. You might want to consider traveling in August as well to save of flight cost...lol And yes there's been a lot of delays during this period including those applying for visit visas. Lesson learned for everyone. |

Priorygroup: Go submit your documents as soon as possible and pray you have the same speedy response as your appeal process. There is no fixed timeline for this, unfortunately, like lexusgs430 said, usually about 2 months+ but yours might be less. All the best! |

Extremebeau: Ok I didnt know that! But let me ask, what do you need this new TB test for? Is it to be submitted with the passport? Because you definitely do not need it at immigration check when you land in the UK. |

Priorygroup: First of all, I am happy for you on the decision to overturn your refusal, that's awesome. On your questions, here is my take: 1. When you made the IHS payment, weren't you directed to an appointment page? If not, I will advise you take along the previous application receipt and refusal documents received from Home Office along with copies of your IHS payment confirmation and the overturn emails from Home Office. Just carry all, you will know what you need when you get there. But more importantly, take your passports. 2. Will advise you submit yourself. 3. Do not think you need to do another TB test, if it's required they would have asked for it in the email. The original TBS test certificates have been assessed during your application. 4. Do not think you have to pay for anything again. Maybe unless you want your passport couriered to you. I am sure someone with a similar experience would respond shortly, again we are happy for you. 1 Like |

Extremebeau: A good example of a true and genuine applicant getting the best outcome. Ofcos God is omnipotent but alas the applicant and sponsor must also do the work by making sure they provide appropriate and adequate documentation as well as truthful representation of their circumstance. Cheers, great time to be traveling..enjoy the summer sun!!! 1 Like |

Lexusgs430: True Lexusgs430. Please make sure you have complete details without ommissions if possible. However, the first question to answer will be the financial category your employments falls under because that will determine the number of months required to be submitted. |

Deola101: Congratulations!!! I can imagine but in fairness 67 working days is not bad for non-priority. I must say priority service is nice (because I did priority) but the wait no matter how short the duration is always going to be nerve-wracking because it's more about the thought of possible refusal which will keep you away from your loved ones and ofcos the cost of the application, that weighs on your mind. So its an opportunity cost scenario, either wait for 3 months or spend extra approx 275k. If I was guaranteed to get the visa and I had 3 months to wait, I will not pay that extra 275k that I can use on flight ticket..lol Congrats again 1 Like |

Launna29: Like I said earlier, I did not receive any email saying my documents were received either and same for a lot of people here I presumed. The best way to guarantee peace of mind when delivering to UKBA is to: 1. Use a "trackable & signed for" delivery service. That way you can track the delivery and have a recorded signature of the recipient. 2. Be sure you use the right delivery address, I used: UK Visas and Immigration, International PO Box 3468 Sheffield United Kingdom S3 8WA If you have these two points checked, then you should be fine. All the best. 1 Like |

Launna29: For spousal visa, the vignette in your passport will clearly state the validity duration. Yes, usually a month for you to enter England to pick your BRP card. For best ticket based on price and travel time, try any of these sites: 1. Wakanow 2. Travelstart 3. Skyscanner 4. Travelpaddy Simply input your travel destination and dates and voila!!!..watch the miracle happen and just select. It also allows you to be flexible with your dates. Maybe good to note that price difference is not much between a one-way ticket and a return ticket. 1 Like |

Embellish: The main thing is you got in without issues. Usually, these questions are subjective and totally at the discretion of the IO. In my case I wasn't asked a single question at all, I had to deliberately tell the IO to stamp the spouse visa vignette because he was looking at my visit visa instead. |

Launna29: In my case NO MESSAGE about receipt of documents but got a generic email: Dear .................................., Regarding Visa Application: ......................... For: ..................................... Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer. If you have made a Settlement application (except for applications lodged in USA and Canada): you must ensure that your UK sponsor has sent all relevant supporting documentation to the UK Decision Making Centre in Sheffield. The documents should be arranged in this order: application form and relevant Appendix* (See below); English language evidence; relationship documents; maintenance documents; accommodation documents. If documents are not received a decision will be taken on the basis on the information that has been provided.............. and so on 1 Like |

Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by oxygyne(m): 5:35pm On Jun 29, 2018 |
Dremzz: Not giving any guarantees, but here are the alternatives that might work: 1. I filled out my form on my computer (using Adobe Acrobat Pro) and inserted my signature electronically and sent same to UK for printing. 2. I also have a high-resolution scanner that makes it almost impossible to detect the difference between the original and the scanned copy. I think any of these two options should work but hopefully, someone who submitted a scanned copy will respond soon. For the supporting letter, you can scan that no issues I believe but make sure for the application form you get a clean and clear scan. |
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by oxygyne(m): 4:24pm On Jun 29, 2018 |
Dremzz: Yes, you should DHL every single supporting document including the signed application form and applicant's introduction letter to the Sponsor for onward transmittal to Home Office. (Scanning might work but since you are sending other documents such as TB and Test certificates to her, why not send the original copies to prevent unnecessary hiccup) Remember to use a checklist to confirm all your submissions, see sample below of the one we used. All the best. 2 Likes

Johnwisdom1032: Sincerely I do not think you should worry much about yourself (not to say you shouldn't...lol),but most of the scrutiny is on your sponsor. All you (the applicant) need to do is to just complete the application form adequately, there is a question about your employment where you can put in information about your self-employment. 1 Like |
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by oxygyne(m): 10:09am On Jun 29, 2018 |
Johnwisdom1032: If I recall correctly, you will have to fill out PART 3C of the Appendix2 form, either category F or G whichever applies to your sponsor. Read through the financial requirement document APPENDIX FM-SE to get all the information you need on how to present your financial information using self-employment option. But reading through your message it seems like some of her income aren't documented (guessing). If yes, even though you can still put everything together nicely it might be advisable to consider waiting for say 6 months to 1 year before applying. This gives her the opportunity to sort her Tax clearance (if you are self-employed I do not think you get a p60 rather you have to do self assessment tax return. YOU SHOULD RESEARCH THIS HOWEVER) and also start to document all her income/receivable by ensuring she deposits in the bank whenever she gets paid for at least 6-months before application (although 1 year might be appropriate for self-employment). I KNOW THIS IS ASKING FOR TOO MUCH but this option is only useful if she cannot adequately proof all her income at this stage and it will help save you from wasting visa fee. Side note, your education shouldn't be an issue but it might help your application if you have a way to proof your employability or entrepreneurship. I will let the guru's respond however. 1 Like |

Pacmandude: Damn, I can't even imagine how frustrating the wait will be without any meaningful update from the tribunal/home-office. But on a side note: 1. Is the applicant in possession of his/her passport? 2. If the previous TB certificate (6 months validity) has expired, why not just go get another test done and get a new certificate. 3. (caveat) I did not write the English test but is there no way to get another copy of the certificate? I saw this somewhere online: Candidates who wish to use their IELTS result for immigration purposes If you wish to use your IELTS test result to apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) or United Kingdom Visa and Immigration (UKVI) you can request one additional copy of your TRF from your centre (two in total). Proof of your application to CIC or UKVI will need to be provided. My guess is, if you have these three documents then you should be able to reapply while waiting for the tribunal. |
