Benny0001: Simply put, they need your degree certificate to be able to remove the disclaimer. It might be nice to get that to them before the Naric letter is issued to prevent unwanted disclaimers. In the meantime, if there is anyone here who had this type of disclaimer from Naric and didn't have any issues, I'm sure they will respond to your message shortly. |

Loritess: Sure I know you don't intend to lie, I just mean state the details as is as at the time of filling the form. I believe you will still be a miss but you can decide to use Mrs. as long as your maiden name remains the same. I was married to my wife when we applied but we still maintained our individual names and we had no issues. |

Loritess: In my experience thus far with forms like these, it is always good and effective to be as honest as possible without over thinking the issue. Will you be married by the time you take the test? 1. If No. Then put your maiden name with Miss in the section 2. If Yes. Then put your marriage name with Mrs.(that's if you have already done the change of name) No need to worry so much about this, you should be more concerned about choosing the right test as highlighted by @queenantia. Please ensure you sit for the right test. |

Osinachi1290: The Sponsor's letter and Applicant's letter will contain almost the same storyline, so you might as well just include all the details in one single letter which will preferably be the Sponsor's letter. In my case, we had both and we didn't have any issues as well. My take is that the letter is not as important as the supporting docs. |

Embellish: Congrats once again but I envy you guys that go for standard applications. I can imagine how frustrating the wait will be and then you can't travel for almost 4 months but then again the 551 quid priority is ridiculously high, so!!! |

Dremzz: I don't think that will be an issue, in our case we maintained our individual names for the application and it was not an issue. Yes, I believe you can change your name (to any name you want) after getting the visa but you will have to notify home office of the name change. 1 Like |

Embellish: No hard and fast rule really, I received the email to pick up a day before or the same day we got our documents back. But for some, they received the email to pick up and didn't receive supporting documents until days after and for others the reverse of this process. For now, just keep calm and be hopeful that you got the visa. All the best. |

lonelydude: Hi, Please what do you mean when you say "I applied via dropbox but was advised to schedule another interview" Was your passport returned through dropbox process with a note asking you to schedule an interview? or you withdraw your Dropbox application and decided to use the interview process. expecting your quick response. Thank you. |

shemafia: OMG that is a very costly mistake, so sorry. Better to check and crosscheck the package like 10 times. We had a checklist for each section, after compiling, I checked and my wife checked then we both did final checks together before submission. At least now you know you will most likely get the visa once you put the required info together. All the best 1 Like |

SAWA17: My advice would be that you do not waste your time/money to contact UKBA, their responses are somewhat automated (even though you speak to an actual agent, the response is that your application is under consideration by an ECO) which is usually a meaningless update so it only serves to frustrate. If it is about the status of your application, your best bet is just to wait and be hopeful. But if you have any other query, please go ahead. |

Maryam30: Ok, this is quite confusing but you received a vignette visa in your passport right? which is for the duration of a month? The letter only states the spousal visa route you are on and that is usually a 5-year route (in some special cases the 10-year route). |

Tunde0: 1. No harm carrying copies of your documents but I wasn't asked about any docs at the Airport doesn't mean you won't be asked though. 2. For cheaper airfare, you might want to try Turkish airline or Air Maroc. Usually cheaper and with short timeline sometimes similar to Air France/KLM (not as short as virgin or BA) |

UPDATE: so I got into England yesterday, no fuss at all at the immigration line. Just simply thump print and welcome. But I had to be sure I used the right visa to get in because I still had my valid visit visa, so had to deliberately show my spouse visa to ensure they had the right recording...lol oxygyne: |

Phenmeson: Based on research thus far, I think you have to have spent 5 years on the Spouse Visa Line, the Tier 4 is a different visa line. So you will need to complete your 5 year route on the EU spouse visa. |

tom5678: I might be wrong but I do think the TLScontact site is just for tracking of your application in Nigeria. I do not think any information about your visa type will affect your application. You filled out your application on UKBA portal and you picked the correct application type, yes? Check you application form, if it has the correct information then I wont be borthered much about TLS site but I will let others respond as well. |

Hello everyone, time for me to say a big thank you to the Group for all the support with no recourse to public funds (lol). But sincerely you guys provide a great support system here and we (definitely I) do not take it for granted. So the twist to my application is that: - I have been in and out of England for a couple of years, on Tier 4 Visa and multiple visit visas - But my wife and I got married in England while I was on my current multiple visit visa because we did not know it is not allowed. - But when we gave notice at the registry, our details were sent to Home Office - We got a letter from UKBA about an ongoing investigation into our proposed marriage - A few months later, we got another letter saying we could go ahead with the marriage - We got married in January 2018 in England. - During the spousal visa application process, found out about the Do not marry on visit visa clause and that made me worried that this might affect the visa application But below is the Timeline for my Settlement (Husband) Visa Application: Online Application Submitted: 22/02/2018 Priority Biometric Taken: 26/02/2018 Doc Sent: 08/03/2018 Confirmation of delivery to Sheffield POBox through Royal Mail Special Delivery: 09/03/2018 Generic email from VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk: 17/03/2018 Called to check if supporting documents were received but not meaningful response: 13/04/2018 No email from UKBA at all No Calls to sponsor or sponsor's employer (well not that we know of) Passport collection email: 25/04/2018 Passport collected with visa: 26/04/2018 (30 working days from receipt of the document in Sheffield excluding Easter Holiday) Settlement (Husband) Visa Successful. I have attached the checklist of all the documents we submitted and how we arranged it. Please note that this is a personal preference, this arrangement, and documents submitted are based on our personal situation. Thank you all once again. Nerve racking process, however with God and attention to detail it should be fine. My take home is that the evidence of sponsor's financial capacity and proof of relationship are the key aspects to pay attention to. 1 Like |
