Aphrodite007: I didn’t scan my passport and I didn’t write a cover letter- not saying that you shouldn’t; just saying that I didn’t. Also, They will ask you the times you’ve been abroad, which you’ll type into the application form, then if they need to investigate it, they will ask the relevant government department. I agree with you Aphrodite007 Like I said in my comment, it is a very subjective process depending on each person's personal situation. What I shared is based solely on my own personal situation and should only be taken as a guide just like I took notes from every other person's situation here and then adapted to suit mine. Keep up the good work. |

profemebee: thanks for the document and the way it is arranged...YW i noticed you used your own income for the financial requirement... i intend to do the same.. Cool I was out for 57 days (work) after my initial entry to the uk, and will follow your method of writing a cover letter explaning... In my opinion, for Flr(m) the focus is on 2 - 2.5 years before your application. Most likely have 33 months (2.5 years + extra 3 months) on your BRP, which gives you 3 months to do all the shenanigans before settling in the UK. so you should still have the required 2.5 years initial + 2.5 years extension to give you the total of 5 years required for settlement I went bk to naija to wrap up work and resign properly.. i hope i can tell Home Office that and they will understand oo..I am sure most of us did...lol i also love how one doesn't send physical copies of documents anymore.. however, did you really scan all the pages of ur passport? even if its empty page? Yep, scan it all..it will cost you nothing |

profemebee: i read every page but we know new requirements creep up every time.. either in cost, docs, etc especially in these times.. apologies once again @Bourne007: you know how crazy and paranoid this process can make someone feel especially because things change and it is expensive to apply so you need to take all precautions not to talk of how disruptive it can be if denied or rejected. @Profemebee: if I recall you should get a sneak preview of the required documents before the final submission. Please note that documents requested are subjective depending on the individual's personal and financial situation but to assist see below how I uploaded my documents on the Ukvcas website per category. I have used the exact heading on the Ukvcas website to help everyone. [img][/img]

No, did not pay for super-priority, it was standard. I will prepare a document list and share but tbh I just followed the checklist generated after submitting my application. Please did anyone who has gone thru FLR M extension use 2 different addresses (that means you moved apartments or houses) for the application?
How does that affect the 6 joint address mail correspondence / 12 separated address mail correspondence?
Can you use Water Bill from address A with joint names and Water Bill from address B with same joint names for 2 different years? YES |

Hi Ladies and Gents,
I was able to submit my application and make payments (Application and IHS) last week. That was straight forward.
I was directed to the UKVCAS website to book an appointment date and upload documents. I have uploaded all the documents (no submitted yet) but I am unable to get any appointment date in January (core, enhanced or premium).
So my initial BRP expires in January, but the appointment for FLR biometric is in February.
Not sure if I read it here or somewhere else that what matters is that you submit the application before the expiry date but would be glad if someone can confirm.
Thanks. |

newbie715: Hi, you can use the e-copies. The print dates on them don't matter, what matters is that they are the relevant months and you have observed the 28 day rule in terms of the month, bear in mind that the 28 days applicable here is for your date of online submission not biometrics date. Thanks |

Aphrodite007: The bank statements must be within the last 28 days of the submission of your application. If you don’t have a paper form of a statement within 28 days, check your mobile and export a statement or call your bank and request for. Aphrodite, thanks. To clarify, what I am asking is that should the entire 6months statement be within the 28days or just the last month before submission. |

Aphrodite007: Is it a bank statement for the months you need? Yes.
So It won’t matter even if the print date is 1 October 1960. I am thinking more about the 28 -days rule .... |

Happy new year to everyone, we pray for a blissful year.
Please can someone point me in the right direction on bank statements.
I have official bank statements sent to me monthly (e-copies) which I download and save, so they have the dates they were sent to me which would be e.g July 2020, August 2020, etc..
My question is can I use these statements which show print dates e.g 11 July 2020 for July, 12 August 2020 for August, and so on up to December 2020 (the one for December will be within 28 days rule), or do I need to have the bank issue new 6-months statements which I believe will all show a single date (e.g January 2020 since the bank will send to me this month).
I hope I am making sense...lol |

Divine88: Are u submitting a physical form or you are/have submitted online? If you’ve submitted an online application, you don’t need a passport photograph as the image taken during your biometric is what’s really needed. Thanks, Divine88. |

Bourne007: Downloaded utility bills (Bank statements etc) can definitely be used with no issues whatsoever. It's even recommended
Think of the waste before you request for paper bills. Save paper, save trees, save money! Thanks, Bourne007. Did not know it's recommended tbh, that's good. True, we need to save the planet..lol but you know it is not our choice what the requirement is. |

Hello Ladies and Gents,
Trust we are all doing well and keeping safe in the current climate (i.e Covid-19). It is going to be Christmas soon, hopefully it brings much needed joy and laughter to our homes.
A quick query, is it ok to use downloaded utility bills (i.e. SSE, BT, Anglian water) or do they all have to be posted to the house for it to be used for the application? Bearing in mind that the online bills are exactly the same as what you receive in the mail.
Need to be sure, please.
Thanks in advance. |

Lexusgs430: Its been awhile you have forgotten the process...lol Yes, you get a 30-days visa to during which period you have to travel to the UK and collect you 2.5 years BRP...And you are right, the applicant must collect the BRP from the post office within 10-days of entering the UK. Well, that's the process I remember unless it changed recently. Hello House, hope everyone's doing ok? Lexusgs430: Why are you getting a 30 days visa?..... You get issued a 2.5 years visa + BRP should be picked up @ your local post office within 10 days of arrival (or else it gets returned).........
With your BRP @ hand..... No be work you wan do..... Start looking and enjoying ur Madam's soup......... |

Questions are the border entry are not generic and not compulsory, if at all you get asked they will be a question relating to you, where you will be staying, etc nothing to worry about. No need for any test again. It is definitely getting cold in the UK but you should be alright, all the best. |

ManlikeTee: Thanks boss. The apartment is a one bedroom flat. 1 living room, bedroom, bathroom, mini storage and kitchen.
Made enquiry about the property inspection report and it cost about £140. I don't know if its really necessary to have it. I do not think it is necessary since you have the tenancy agreement which will clearly state the type of property as well as a letter from the landlord. This is also not a shared apartment so you should be fine. |
