As others have pointed out, this "Documentary" didn't shine anything new to the average Naija person. Area boys, like university cults are controlled by people higher up. If anything, I was disappointed with the programme as it lacked depth & failed to ask the right questions, but worse off, Louis Theroux accepted weak explanations from MC's mouthpeice. MC and his boys were just "mugu-ing" Louis Theroux left, right and centre. But then again, this programme is meant for the average white UK viewer "wey no know norin about Naija". But it had its comedic moments; [Man in Suit] ", you are the ones selling Nigerian abroad, you are crazy, " - I laugh tire. [Area Boy] "Cross and Die". |

It seems as if we are a little too sensitive. I know it was a "white man" that posted it but we need to relax. Yes, he's a little cheeky with the cutting the grass by hand comment, but he's just being silly. I guess it hurts when a stranger (white man) points out something negative, we seem to go into defense mode. ut that is how parts of Lagos looks. I did not notice any CGI (Computer Graphic, kiniko) present so Relax. If he had said "look at these dirty pigs", then I would have found it offensive. Lets not be in denial of how Lagos looks in some parts. Not every square inch, but that is Lagos there. |
This Guy Is Having a Laugh! You are supposed to get wise with old age not silly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXfnjkxBTrk [flash=425,344]http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/v/rXfnjkxBTrk&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0"><[/flash] |
