Just a little academic exercise I decided to allow after I decided I wasnt going to answer those who want to claim every land they can find. Rather than allow us look at the facts as they are in reality they begin to call me names, and am like dear I understand that's your weakness. Go on its my thread anyway....
Why where there Asa county council and Ndoki county council and why were they not one?
what was a county council in say 1934
or 1970
Why was it that Ndoki majority were joined to Asa in Rivers and Imo River used as boundary yet Omuma LGA of Rivers who is on the other side of the same river with Ukwa was still joined to Rivers? Think my friends that's my only offence in all of your name calling which I consider childish though....
Who are the Oyigbo Bini people and the ethnics by the Asa River in Kwara...share research with me so maybe I learn not result to name calling which I though use to understand the level of those derailing my thread.
Hope you had a nice day though!
And the man who said Ndoki is Asa even after reading that even before the civil war there were two county councils bearing Asa and Ndoki differently...I can now understand

The Hard Bitter Truth...!
Whether you're PDP, APC, APGA or even APDA....
Until when the nationalistic, statesmen and patriotic leaders of Oyigbo LGA learn to come together and deliver a whooping and fantastic voting result of 30,000, 40,000 or 50,000 votes in any Governorship election, we won't be taken serious as ardent and equal stakeholders in the business called RIVERS STATE.
Both the PDPs, APCs or APGAs, We all should be ashamed of our votes delivery of not more than 10,000 or 15,000 after every election only to showcase our supremacy at the detriment of our entire development.
The in-house fighting of PDP versus PDP, APC versus APC, PDP versus APC or any other will do more harm than good, especially during elections is absolutely absurd and retrogressive.
It's high time we indulge and inculcate into this modern day politics and be useful to each other.
The time to come together and deliver this amount of votes by the good people of Oyigbo LGA in any election despite our party divides,...especially gubernatorial election is now!...2019... As this will stir up massive and positive development in Oyigbo LGA.
Am very optimistic that all our leaders are seriously working towards this.
Long live Oyigbo LGA
Long live Oyigbo leaders
Long live Rivers state.

You see what brought this argument, how can you look at an adult and tell him in public he doesn't know what he is doing? Same thing that is derailing this thread.
You can imagine how annoying that is!

your mistake here is trying to twist Asa & Ndoki history, you are neither of them.
focus on other things and allow oyigbo people sort themselves out.

Na! I didn't twist nothing, maybe someday we all can sit down and retrace the history. I was so eager to hear from her as I know ASA history more but didn't come to debate history because despite what we know children of 2089 will hear differently. My only offence was asking people to stop telling a people who they were. It's not right, we all grew up being told by our parents and its wrong even if right to prove that wrong

Historically,
Ukwa comprises of Ndoki and Asa
County Council Areas and these areas, the
subject of the claim, comprised all
the 17 villages named in the first and
second claims. All of them are now
merged with the Rivers State. When Imo
State was created in 1976, out of the
former East Central State, which area
originally was pan of the Eastern Region
of Nigeria (better called Eastern Nigeria)
the territorial area called Ukwa,
fell within the Imo State. The whole of the
Ndoki County Council and ASA County
Council were therefore in Imo State.
Learned counsel, therefore, contends that
so far as the present Constitution is
concerned, the area of Imo State has
never been split, nor, was any of the areas
merged with the Rivers State. He
then referred to an area called Otega in
the constituent local government areas
of the Rivers State, and submitted, that
this did not mean or constitute any
known geographical area.
"There is no such express provision. He further submitted that the
Nasir Boundary Adjustment Commission Report, and the Government White Paper
thereon, dealt with Ndoki areas and nothing was said about Obigbo. He suggested
as a reinforcement of this argument, that the Imo River must be regarded only
as a natural boundary between Imo and Cross River States. With respect, this
submission is against the context of the acceptance and approval given to the
recommendation by the Federal Military Government. It is quite clear that the
Imo River was accepted and acted upon, as the natural boundary between the Imo
and Rivers States. On that ground Obigbo therefore falls dearly within the
Rivers State as well as the Ndoki areas in the Report."
"The Ndoki Clan straddles three States Imo, Rivers and Cross River – with the
bulk of the Clan living on either side of the Imo River in the Imo State. The
Commission found that the Ndokis have consistently been treated as a minority.
The bulk of the people living south of the Imo River were more inclined to
accede to the Rivers State but the creation of the Imo State appeared to have
changed several minds in favour of remaining in Imo State;"
Why you dnt think the Ndoki who speak Opobo are not Ndoki too baffles me.
I got dragged into this argument after I even pleaded with you that I accept you are correct but you wouldn't stop to derail my thread because I suspect you a one of those loyalist of the elites who wouldn't want this thread to stand for my request for the bad roads to be fixed by the leaders in the LGA and clear the dirty.

You speak on issues you know nothing about.

Asa people in Ukwa West of Abia state remains Igbo. This is the truth. Likewise the Ndoki in Ukwa East of Abia state.

Oyigbo was carved out of old Imo state and added into old Rivers state( Bayelsa and Rivers) by mammar Nasir boundary readjustment commission of 1975, I'm surprised you don't know this very tiny bit of history, yet you claim to be from Oyigbo, are you sure you are not an Ogoni man claiming Oyigbo?

You speak of Obolo afor? They are Igbos and don't deny their origin, they are bilingual in Igbo and Idoma to enable easy communications with their Idoma neighbors.

Burutu and Ekermo people don't deny their Izon origin just because they are in Delta or Bayelsa state, they remain proudly Izon, maybe you should learn from them. State creation doesn't change your ethnicity.

Ban goi people? You already said they are Ogoni speaking, what else are you looking for, Ofcourse they are Ogonis, if Ogoni succeeded in their plans to get a foothold in Okoroma, ofcourse, you would also end up sharing it with them, and those Ogonis would remain Ogonis and not turn Igbo.

Etche people have their people in Ngo okpala in Imo state who remain Igbos, but Etche had since rebranded themselves and declared themselves ethnic nationality, cuting off ties with their brothers in Imo.

If you want to toe Etche and Omuma path, maybe it's time you Pause and think.
Etche have the population to hold off any aggressors in Rivers state, not long ago they were fighting over boundary lands with Ikwerres, and they stood their ground, they have the numbers. Their brothers they left in Imo state are just few towns, not even up to an LGA.
And I don't even think Etche people are faring better in Rivers, despite their recent "I no be Ibo" rebranding, their area remain neglected like Oyigbo in Rivers, while the. Keep priding themselves of being the food basket of Rivers state.

Asa and Ndoki in Oyigbo on the other hand lack the numbers, and your Ogoni neighbors know this, you depend on the Ndoki and Asa population in Abia state to keep them(Ogonis) at bay.
The day you cut off your ties with your Ndoki and Asa brothers in Abia and launch this your Oyigbo ethnic group experiment, is the day you sealed your bad fate, and your larger neighbors eyeing your lands would pounce.
This is not scaremongering, this is advice.

By the way, no one is forcing any identity on anyone, when I was in Azumini, my friend took me to Egbelu in Oyigbo, where we met family friends of his, not for once did I get this your air of "I no be Ibo" from them, we all interacted in Igbo language.
Read the judgement properly http://metropole.ng/justicemedia/ag-imo-state-vs-ag-rivers-state/
There was Tai/Eleme/Obigbo(urban) lga in rivers, the suit only decided the Ndoki of okobo and ihueze become fully rivers to be administered together with Obigbo which was already in Rivers, read it my friend

Asa

the Rivers State. "
Follow the lines dear, aside your bias with the name Oyigbo, at what point did it come?
There were Oyigbo 1 and 2 in the state Assembly, tell me who the areas were and if those places are Igbo lands I will apologize to you

It is very obvious you are not a good student of History, better still, you don't know your history. If you have ever come to terms with the 1976 boundary commission that ceded the 17villages of Asa and Ndoki people to Rivers state on the basis that the natural boundary should be with a River. And I believe you aren't aware of the court cases that ensued till 1983 when the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Rivers state. If you will also recall that protest from this villages prevented Tam David West, the commissioner of education in Rivers state from erecting any billboard at any of the schools because the villagers protested to be returned to the Old Imo state ruled by Sam Mbakwe. to clear you further, my uncle had his secondary education in Obigbo and it Bears Imo state as of 1977. It will suffice you to know that the original boundary of the then eastern state was Iriebe and not Imo Rive. I believe this court case link of 1983 will clarify your myopic mind ''http://metropole.ng/justicemedia/ag-imo-state-vs-ag-rivers-state/'' stop denying your origin because of simple oil. You are in Rivers no doubt but understand your history first before you play politics with it. thanks
Aside the name dear tell me the detailed history of the ASA and Ndoki people you know mentioning composition of the communities take ASA for example and if you can give me a better detail than I know I will take a flight to come learn more from you.
Prior republics when Rivers and Bayelsa were together in the state assembly there were Oyigbo 1 and 2,pls tell me the areas of Rivers state that covered this areas I sincerely want to hear it from you.
In that suit, read it through and understand Ndoki was never called Obigbo, prior to Oyigbo there was the Tai/Eleme/Obigbo Local Government.
The suit came immediately there was oil.It was even about administration of Ndoki areas who were scattered in 3 states and the boundary commission acknowledged the clan was minority in Ukwa and no mention of Obigbo, who at this time was being laid claim by Bori. It didn't even mention Obigbo (which is the urban not the entire LGA) and it was when the IMO River was accepted as boundary Ndokis were asked to be administered with Obigbo in Rivers.I suggest you read that judgement properly http://metropole.ng/justicemedia/ag-imo-state-vs-ag-rivers-state/
There is a boundary town in Benue with Enugu they speak IBO and Idoma, they are not IBO's,there are also boundry town in Benue and cross River they chose what tribe they want and the worst you can do is come to tell them who they are. If you have been to Burutu in delta it shares boy dry with Ekeremor and Sagbama in Bayelsa, every family holds identification of both states but gues s what each village/island who has no more than 150 persons have an history.
It is so wrong to want to tell a people who they are.Tell me one way oyigbo people have benefited from the oil? Doesn't it surprise you yet they have remained peaceful,Ban Goi is an Ogoni village by Afam they are very quiet and peaceful, are they also IBO's?
Are Etche and Omuma people IBO's too? you guys need to relax and allow each people chose who they want to be called. You cannot force it,every human alteast deserve that,to be allowed to be who he wants

Rivers state government owes Oyigbo a duty to build up roads there and sanitize the area.

Oyigbo contributes more to Rivers state huge federal government monthly allocation than all Rivers state LGA barring ONELGA, why have Ijaws and Ikwerre people that ruled Rivers state decided to treat Oyigbo like this, why why?

This should be the question on everyone mouth. Other than that Songhai farm that was brought to Oyigbo, which is not even a government institution, nothing else to show Oyigbo is part of Rivers state. If this were Igbos treating other groups like this, the news would be all over the net.

The neglect of Oyigbo should by now have become a pan Igbo question and struggle, but SE is politically fragmented at this point in history with no strong pan Igboist leaders. I saw Ekweremadu opening a road project in Etche the other day and I wept! Why was he not using that opportunity to bring the plight of Oyigbo to the government, doesn't he feel like he owe Oyigbo something, I'm sure Zik would have.

Either way, you don't cut your nose to spite your face, Igbo leadership in this era have failed all Igbo people but that's not why you should start the identity crisis game, it hasn't helped Etche yet.

Recently, Rivers state polytechnic was about to be relocated, after the one at Bori was renamed after Ken Saro Wiwa. I was in Ekpeye, Etche forums and saw how these people lobbied and cried that this school be sited in their location, I was wondering why the school shouldn't be sited in Oyigbo too to give the area a government presence.

But what happened? Wike took this school to Ikwerreland, an area already saturated with government presence, and non of these groups( Ekpeye and Etche) are today screaming Ikwerre domination, I followed the saga all through, and I began imagining if it were the Igbo that did that. Of course all hell will break out.

I'm well aware of neglect that minority areas like Etche, Ekpeye, Oyigbo, suffer in Rivers and the concentration of everything in Rivers state in Ikwerreland( PH) , but I'm only baffled that these groups rather grumble in silence than scream domination! It's a wonder.

Meanwhile, on the dirt, the chairman should impose levies on those within the area, the traders mainly and clear the dirt, I don't see any big deal in clearing a dirt that a LG Chairman can't handle and then put a task force in place to arrest those who are caught dumping refuse in public places indiscriminately.
That's the purpose of this thread, address why instead of come together the elites fight amongst themselves and have no single part to play in the state.

But look at my view, since the area is so neglected ,its not about Amaechi or Wike.It can regain some prominence by achieving something it can use ,have reliable residents who are always there to vote. As I mentioned earlier when Odili saw this in 2003 he had to promise to give a commissioner, now the LGA barely adds 10,000 votes like Omuma and Etche which is basically useless hence they can afford to ignore them after all it's a peaceful LGA.
Hope you can understand me,they need to have something to bargain,as its a peaceful lga that can only come if they have state or federal players or vote solid vote count that the region they belong cannot ignore them

@Oyivgr

What I sense in you is a man who would not place the blame for Oyigbo lack of development where it belongs, which is at the door steps of Ikwerre and other Riverine power brokers, who having dubiously used Population rather than contribution of LGAs as the benchmark for distribution of resources and projects in Rivers state, had ended up marginalizing and shortchanging Oyigbo which contribute so much, but have meagre official population. Oyigbo small population can never be a justification for the kind of marginalization Oyigbo had suffered in Rivers state, Bayelsa is the least populated state in Nigeria but still receive large monthly allocation.

You want to acquire the New clothing of "Rivers man" while shading the old clothing of Igbo, even if it means denying both Ndoki and Asa in Ukwa who remain Igbo.
You are already thinking that fellow Igbos are the cause of your problems.
So you don't want to piss the Rivers people off by reminding them of their injustice towards Oyigbo, since you want them to accept you, even if as a second class Rivers man, you had quickly started the Igbo blame game to please them and curry their favour.

I'd have to warn you of the dangers of your current stand.

Get your head off Rivers people ass, and see that they had completely marginalized Oyigbo, they had used your oil contribution allocations to better themselves and their places while Oyigbo remain in decay.
Oyigbo lacks government presence, and it wasn't caused by SEners in your midst, stop taking out your frustrations and misgivings on them.

Ponder on this.

1.have a voters card since Oyigbo is your land and help us contribute more votes as Rivers only implements development to areas that contributes more votes
2.stay in Oyigbo during census and be counted so that the LGA real population can be counted since you own the place with us.As all LGA with 250,000+ in population have 2 members in the state assembly, not run back to the east each time and every December only to come back to claim ownership
3. Join us to build more standard hospitals and markets other than just filling stations as that was why we sold the lands to you when we couldn't find our own rivers brothers to come to develop us. All your people are mostly traders at least it will be nice if there are standard markets but no you prefer to sell on the road causing traffic and has to be driven like animals by every new chairman who comes. You even have the main market Chairman since 1995 as how many core locals trade?

Good points! But all these can be discussed and brainstormed upon at Ohanaeze caucus meeting.

You want Oyigbo populated with Igbos who would "Indigenize" and become real citizens of the land, to give you more political footing in Rivers politics and not traders that travel home at the end of the day.

It's easy, we all sit down and discuss it, so that in future, people won't come and be pointing fingers at others for invading their lands.

What you notice at Oyigbo also happens in Aba, during Christmas or elections, non Indigenous Igbos there, ie non Ngwas leave Aba for their hometowns, same happens in Onitsha, Enugu and other major towns and cities in Igboland.
No Igbo man considers where is not his fatherland, home, even within the SE, that's why when people speak of Igbo land grabbing I become dumbfounded. It is not peculiar to Oyigbo.

Isn't it funny that you speak of your "Rivers brothers", you exonerate them of all blames and place them on SEners in your land.
Where is your blame for your "rivers brothers" who had marginalized you and taken your share of development using their numbers to intimidate you.
Your Rivers brothers in Tai that rather than buy your lands like SEners do, decided to take it from you by force, I still remember that clash at Okoroma between Oyigbo people and Ogonis, funny enough, you needed the help of your Ndoki brothers in Abia state to hold your stand until the government intervened.

You have no iota of resentment or anger for your Rivers brothers that produce less crude oil than Oyigbo but use their bigger population to take lion share of projects in Rivers state, leaving Oyigbo to decay.

Federal government share money according to how much each state contributes, first and foremost, before population consideration, which is why states like Akwa ibom and Bayelsa sometimes receive 5 times allocation of Ebonyi state, even though Ebonyi has more population than Bayelsa.
Why then is Rivers state revenue sharing formula and project citing not taking cognizant of the contribution of LGA to Rivers state oil production?

Shouldn't you be wondering why Oyigbo receive less projects from RVSG than LGAs like Emohua and the rest in Ikwerre and Ijoid areas that their contribution to Rivers oil are no match for Oyigbo who are but second to ONELGA?

Delta state has an oil producing area commission that rewards communities according to how much crude oil they produce, why is there no such in Rivers?

Why are you not asking these questions, or is it easier to lay your blames on SEners?

All your anger and resentment in typical manner is reserved for the SEners who you go about looking for petty reasons to hold culpable for your misfortunes.

Jisike
I like us to drop this ethnic thing as its derailing this thread.
Understand my point in my call for better governance as some noted in a post on Facebook;Abe won senatorial district with 125,000 for senate and Mpigi 48,000 for reps votes in this Oyigbo only added 10,000+ and was shared about 60/40 between PDP and APC,which government will take such lga serious? An LGA in last census with 148,000 persons and over 65,000 registered voters. That is the deal, forget corruption of the leaders there the LGA is not relevant politically and even those calling me names here have no voters card. That is me asking all residents to attempt to do what is needful.Imagine in the 48000 votes for house of reps if the people (non locals who are many) voted more it gives the LGA an edge to decide voting even if not in governorship but in reps and Senate as all contestants must approach it making promises to get such huge votes.Did you know Odili had to promise to give Oyigbo Commissioner in 2003 and Oyigbo delivered 50,000 votes.
I am asking every resident to work for the good of the LGA which can only be achieved through voting strength for now and in no way blaming anyone. For now the only way to get the attention of the state is gather enough votes to decide not just chairmanship but reps and Senate for the region.Imagine if Oyigbo has a whether he is Asa or Ndoki or a settler as Senator and Reps member? Each caretaker committee always have at least 2 non indegiens to represent such interest.
Really wouldn't reply any of these ethnic lines as though was not intention of this thread rather to paint present scenarios just like presently Oyigbo PDP has 2 camps just to be the one to decide who becomes what rather than support the people who have gotten the ears of the governor presently in power.
Will the history of Oyigbo or our opinion on it clear this dirty in this thread or fix the roads, that should be the question

Just to confirm did you know there are the Oyigbo Bini people in Ondo who speak a different language and not Yoruba? Did you know there is the Asa River also in Kwara?

This one is already thinking of fabricating his own Bini fable story of Origin. Oyigbo that was just renamed in the 70's from Obigbo is now related to a Bini speaking town in Ondo state in 2017.

The Igbos( who I'm interested to know if your fellow Asa people in Ukwa West and Ndoki in Ukwa East in Abia state are not part of) are now the cause of your problems in Oyigbo.

Your Ikwerre overlords that had lorded over the state for 10 years now, who get huge allocations from FG on the basis of big oil contributions which Oyigbo contribute a lion share of, but decided to invest them all in Ikwerreland, and refused to site any tangible government project in your communities are angels, it's the non indegenes from SE who buy your land at reasonable cost and build structures and businesses that the indigenes tax, and your brothers in Ukwa who use your LGA quota to seek for jobs, that are now the cause of your woes. Every of your woes must be caused by the SE.

You must watch it, the path you are trading is a slippery path, I'm happy the majority of Oyigbo people are not trading this your path now

cc: Amarabae
My dear I need you to watch the interview on the story about true history of Nigeria. The interview by the Northern Elites about the character of the South Easterners and why the nothernization began. The elderly South Easterners in Oyigbo have never released a statement saying Oyigbo is an Igbo land.Oyigbo has been the most accommodating to the Easterners of all the LGAs in Rivers and even asked Rivers once to allow it join Abia but not because they are IBO's but that maybe Abia will develop it.
While I don't know your offence in my question to him asking if "Oyigbo Bini in Ondo is also Igbo land" or the ASA river in Kwara is also Igbo river I just wanted to test his knowledge of history but as its the case with all children of 1989 upwards who heard the oil wells in the Oyigbo urban was named Obigbo, they concluded its Igbo land.
This post if you read properly was to draw attention of low performance of Oyigbo political holders and call to engage the easterners who are only interested in claiming the land as their own and owe no sense of development other than sponsor candidates for the chairmanship for the business interest. We might need you to at least
We even have given identification letters to many of you will it be too hard to ask you be useful to us at least a little other than still want us to allow you do IPOB protests on our roads when PH doesn't allow you.
I wonder why non of you ever goes to work in the state government during recruitments but use our letters to pursue federal jobs like police and company jobs which the locals know nothing about (Rivers state judiciary just concluded accepting hope your kins applied because I don't know why those who got out identification never applies, maybe as they will be posted to come to work in Oyigbo and mightn't defend where they are from when posted and will work with core locals.Pls ask them to apply since they have the identification)
We don't have anything against the IBO's in Oyigbo, they have been peaceful but these online claims each time tend to make us wonder if its the younger generation or confused outsiders either way we will like you to at least join us to attract more development not just buy all our lands to lay claims.
This post is calling on our leaders to serve us better not in anyway attack your stay because if you watch we have no worries as you always run home,lol...just kidding

The CTC chairman of Oyigbo needs to do something concerning the dirts littered everywhere.
Sometimes when I'm in Oyigbo it feels like I'm already in Aba because of the gabbage everywhere.
Some say dirt collection was taken over by the state government and presently I think most LGA have to wait for the truck of the state PDP chieftain to come before it it evacuated and I kept asking how about mobilizing trucks once a week to argument at least to clear the roads. But you know corruption or negligence has a way of stagnating everything. Just trucks and men paid daily rates to clear these things and designate points for pickup that's all

I lived in Afam estate and had my primary school in the PHCN school there so at least I have a little knowledge of what goes on. I am also from a village called Afam in ihiala of Anambra state and we have a historical relation with the people of Afam Ukwu so at least I am conversant with the history. In my opinion I feel the people of Oyigbo are primarily the cause of their problems. Their political non participation and their leaders are extremely corrupt. I could remember one of our drivers then complaining bitterly of how the town elders shared over 200m given to them by Daewoo without doing anything with it. Secondly , the people of Oyigbo town are very dirty and lack maintenance culture; the drainage on the afam road and old aba road are among the best in the world but the people deliberately stuff the gutters with dirt and let it get blocked. So tell me how that place won't stink. When I occasionally to afam I weep for those living close to that school area because it stinks. What did Oforji do for you guys after serving as Chairman and a member of state assembly and a close friend to Wike?
You really understand Oyigbo, but you know that lack of political participation is as a result of many years of intimidation and betrayals. Prior to 2007 there were rural communities elections don't hold as claimed by many in the knowledge.Yes the older politicians and kings are very corrupt accept gifts from companies and pretend these companies have not done anythonh. Prior to 1999 there were Shell secondary school scholarships forms shared by families who send their kids to Rumukrushi Community school to write a standard test and are paid 15,000 per term which was more than sufficient ,then wives of kings started taking 60% of the forms hire buses and take children of non indegiens who they payoff once and continue to file generated results to the CLO office in Shell and take payments for 6years per child, now the forms have disappeared. Companies now pay cash to interest groups rather than on community projects which will serve everyone. Yet since the LGA barely produces insignificant votes the state doesn't have time for a people that are not politically relevant.
For the cleanup, before there was monthly sanitation, God bless you your environment isn't clean and the inspectors come, this has disappeared as each chairman comes to use the office as retirement venture and the party wants all the money for the chieftains. It was so bad every chairman who is elected signs off millions for furniture before anything, the amount can fix 3 streets.
The essence of this thread is,pls everyone in Oyigbo take a picture and share it here of roads and facilities that have gone so bad let the world see and maybe the state if really they don't know
please keep the pictures coming, real pictures not internet photos

yes our gross in oyigbo should not be with one another but with the brick walls in PH,i was so dissappointed wen ngei magnus won the rivers south east senatorial elections, because this guy is part of oyigbo problem,i supported and hoped for olaka nworgu to win cause he has shown interest in oyigbo developement
Really appreciate we can understand. The question sometimes is when both came for campaign what did the leaders negotiate for in terms of projects because even the Olaka was there when constituency projects were given to members appointed contractors directly did you see one in Oyigbo? I am aware he gave chieftains of the party a contract outside the LGA. How does this benefit the LGA I ask.
I am of the opinion however that the LGA could negotiate their way into this if it can engage the settlers and add more votes enblock. If you watch Magnus won with about 30,000 while even the 11,000 votes of Oyigbo was shared by 2 parties. What if the LGA alone can add 20,000 it will be a force to challenge in the region ,don't you think? Because in this politics its about how much they need you

Asa and ndoki are igbos are u aware?
And who are the locals before Igbo settlers arrive?
While I don't want this thread turning into this twist I can do with little education, you can tell me who the settlers were with dates with dates not just newspaper articles of people between 1992 and now.
Yes my parents were born before 1920 and their great grand parents were real sons of Oyigbo who were Ndoki and Asa.
Just to confirm did you know there are the Oyigbo Bini people in Ondo who speak a different language and not Yoruba? Did you know there is the Asa River also in Kwara?
Have you ever heard of a core Oyigbo son who was killed swimming in the IMO River,Blue Sea or near the Nwanji river like the settlers? Wondered why?
Maybe I can learn from you about my people who have over 1000years of accountable history

ass oyigbo people i hate washing our dirty linen outside but u are forcing me to,puting all blames on ndoki forgeting we played major role during amaechi tenure in ensuring oyigbo being part of greater PH,infact asa have undermined oyigbo severally including the infamous one in spiff diette regime...
politicians are after their personal gain and wont mind causing divisions during their quest for power.
You keep getting me wrong dear, the essence of this was though I feel the state neglects the LGA ,the LGA leaders are not trying at all.its like a case of Kaduna South with GMD NNPC Ministers, deputy governor yet no development or attraction of industries except Nigerian breweries and coca cola, can you imagine that.
My friend who is a doctor had to go buy vaccines and took it to the LGA early 2000 before Oyigbo saw vaccines which were free by UN. In Oyigbo most private hospitals are complimentary care centres who aren't supposed to take births or surgeries but admit people, pls tell me which hospital is in any of the Okobo/Ihueze land? what's the distance from Oyigbo to BMH or other standard hospital.Last year a woman lost her 7months pregnancy she almost died and was referred to PH,imagine what women are exposed to. Results you can get instantly or 2hours come in weeks and each time there is a strike at those hospitals even patients on pipes are discharged,Oyigbo residents and many have to go to expensive private hospitals. The LGA went once to build a market in partnership with a bank once though was finally given to the elites and non indegiens had to take a casket to the entrance, why not an hospital too? Irrespective of the clan in power at least let the interest of the LGA come first;will this be too much to ask?

i am very dissappointed in your assertions,if people like you dont change their attitude oyigbo will continue to be underdogs politically. i have always maintained that our strenght lies in enfranchising non indigene in our land, etche is doing it and oyigbo should emulate...
No one says settlers shouldn't vote, maybe you misunderstood me but I am of the opinion that leaders need to engage the settlers to be more active but how can they do that?
I have gone to the UN farmers intervention project headed by one Bassey to see how his project which ends next year can help Oyigbo LGA registered farmers, and modalities are being worked out as local farmers are outside this present scope. There are some immunizations that are not in the LGA that it was even last yeat it got to Bayelsa, have been trying to get an appointment with a foundation to see how they can intervene for Oyigbo amongst others,I am a private person;what have you done for the LGA in your capacity?
These figthings amongst tribes needs to stop, agreements of rotation of positions needs to be respected.Non indegiens needs to be engaged more to vote and be available for census. The LGA is PDP now yet several camps with non showing any interest for the development only want to decide who has power to appoint people. I apologize if u feel I went tribal was just trying to build what's happening and didn't even know why u should seem offended

what u are doing now is part of our problem in oyilga(sectarianism). asa people need to work with us to move oyigbo forward,obio/akpo is using non idigenes to their advantange and you are here complaining about non indigene.
former ctc chair was a relation of mine and i knw how it goes,if ndi asa accepts non indigene votes then oyigbo will be aa strong force in oyigbo/eleme/tai fed constituency. we ndoki are brothers with asa so stop playing politics with every thing.

MIND U OYILGA IS THE MOST PEACEFULL LGA IN RIVERS!! NDOKI and ASA wu nwanne
Here we go,not taking sides with Asa people. Ndokis are Administrator Greater PH,commissioner for Commerce and Industry,LGA Chairman, first class chief who joins to meet shell every time and member house of Assembly in charge of agriculture committee, what has these guys brought to the LGA?I never said the non indegiens votes are not needed infact the LGA needs it most but they never vote and the LGA votes seem like nothing to the state. Can you imagine if the LGA has 70,000 votes they will be respected but they deliver 11,000 PDP takes 6k APC 6k.who will look at such LGA with seriousness when Obio Akpor pulls more. Each year while non indegiens don't contest in Oyigbo, they are the bulk financiers of each person whoever wins,do you know?
My point is the Asa people are voiceless, how do you want them again to work with you when you occupy everything and decide everything. Those dirty shared by this young man do you want him to go and buy shovel so it means he is working with you? Understand my point, how is calling for government appointees to work playing politics.OK my post is a problem, yours that you want not just occupying all LGA position without clearing dirty by schools you also want to be governor is not a problem right?
Its sad, this is actually the problem, I am asking the state to give the LGA company contract to clear dirty if they will not allow the LGA do it you feel its bad,now I understand
