A tree is not made in a day so says an adage. The total overhauling of the registration process of the previous administration headed by Prof Dibu Ojerinde by the incumbent registrar is nothing to write home about. From the introduction of pins in replacement of JAMB scratch cards, to the reduction of accredited registration centres is totally absurd and ridiculous.
For instance in ikorodu where I took over 50 students to register on Saturday, to my consternation I was told that there will be no generation of pins…. Thereafter I was told students will have to take passport photographs before their pins can be generated. In 2hrs time, the same CBT Centre could not connect to JAMB server. I headed to another Centre it was the same brouhaha.
Today it was another news entirely, the CBT Centre told me that there have been problems all over CBT centres with the generating of pins. In fact in some quarters I was told banks are now even generating fake pins(this am not absolutely sure). To ascertain this I called some people in other centres it was the same. To this aforementioned claims, I have some questions begging for answers?
1. Why should there be total overhauling of the process that was simple, easy and stress free, if there could be changes this can be spaced over the period of 3years examination period like what the former JAMB Registrar did
2. Why should schools like UNILAG, FCE AKOKA, and LASPOTECH with over 2000+ capacity not included in the accredited centres?
3. Why introduce a new literature and syllabus just about a month and 3 weeks before the examination
4. Why will ikorodu with over 100000+ prospective candidates have only 5 accredited centres?
5. Why should CYBER CAFES be excluded from registration process, though I learnt that JAMB is trying to eliminate exploitation of students but to me, the Pros outweighs the Cons.
……………then if the registration process is like this, then what will the examination itself looks like?

My Advice to all TASUED aspirants,dou the University slated the exam for 7am on Sat 18 and 10am Sun 19......but for your own Good,all candidates shud be at the school 6:30am on Saturday June 18.....remember the screnin is CBT

5. SCREENING DETAILS
Candidates should prepare for e-test and bring along the following to the venue of the screening exercise:
(i) Original colour print-out from the On-line registration
(ii) Original JAMB Examination Notification of Result slip or
Direct Entry Registration Slip.
(iii) Application fee receipt for post UTME
6. WARNING:
(i) Electronic calculators, cell phones (GSM, CDMA, etc.) and other electronic devices are not allowed in the venue of the screening exercise
(ii) Candidates are to arrive at the screening venue an hour before the commencement of the exercise.
The results of the screening exercise should be checked on the University website after the screening exercise.
