jln115: - The Olifant Mk2 is a 21st century tank and entered service in 2007..... However years of experience in Southern Africa has proved tracked vehicles like tanks are not as effective hence SANDF are all wheeled and not Tracked.
- We don't need to send our 200 Olifants to take on your 10 VT-4s or rusty T72s and vickers.... We simply send a single Rooivalk with 16 Mokopa and its bye bye Vt4
- Another keyboard general thinking you can just fit sh1t on ships like its nothing also I never said a helicopter with ASW capability can't detect a sub.... I simply stated Nigeria doesnt have ASW capability you are crazy son... Sonar is not rocket science. Nigerian navy has ASW capable helis since early 2000. Olifants are old man metals upgraded or not. And you think unmarketable and untested Rooivalk will not be shot down by a well tested mi-35 |

jln115: - I was being factual and you were feeling buthurt that's why you stopped replying.
- First of all Nigeria does not have the most comprehensive ship monitoring system in Africa.... your falcon eye system only has a range of 35 nautical miles...so yeah!!
- Nigeria has 0 helicopters with Sonar and even if you did you have 0 torpedos to destroy our subs
- Firstly no captain said anything about chasing sharks with subs, the story you were referring to was a PR guy who simply made a metaphor that people don't swim where there are sharks in reference to the Sub being the sharks.........His message was simply misinterpreted as english isn't his firs language
- When did India sink an entire NATO flee with a single Sub? show me the article
- Nigeria has a handful of VT-4 tanks.....No more than 10 in fact, South Africa has near 200 MK2 and MK1B Olifant MBTs, you also have no where near the most advanced artillery, South Africa is known world wide for having the best 155mm artillery pieces in the world, the G6 currently holds the record for the longest accurate shot for a 155mm artillery piece at 76km
- The Mi35 is not even the best in Africa let alone the world...........
- ISR?? mate LinkZA ,Blufor tracker,Impi C2..........We have the most advanced C4isr systems in Africa mate..........and by a long shot! olifant old man tank, Is that metal still in service... I repeat, the Nigerian army fields the most modern tank and artillery in Africa No? A single vt-4 tank can detect your tanks miles away and hit them before they even start the engine. We also got over 50 T72 tanks over 200+ Vickers And the rest... You got nothing on us man Sonars can be fitted on ships or helicopter as long as it can move over the waters.... And who told you a helicopter armed for ASW cannot detect a submarine...you joke too much, son. |

jln115: depends on what you are buying.... Usually if its complex equipment like ships, fighters, tanks, helicopters ect ect it literally takes years.
Then factor in training, maintenance, possible sanctions ect ect that time increases... Nigeria ordered 3 Jf17 fighters 3 years ago and yet they are only being delivered by the end of the year, your super Tucano ordered 2 years ago is only being scheduled to arrive in 2021 with last unit being delivered in 2023
That's why being self sufficient and building your own is always the best..... And everybody knows SA has the best local defence industry by a country mile without the french and British defence company bae there would be no DENEL. One embargo and you are back to ground zero. The JF17 arw coming late because the pakis were building theirs and we wanted block 2. If we had gone to the Chinese directly for the j10, we would long be flying them in SA. |

jln115: With what are you going to locate it with?? Your surveillance system(not the best fyi) was meant to track surface ships not subs mate... You need sonar for that let me answer this on his behalf...I stopped replying your lame posts because you were just being stupid... First of all no navy in Africa I repeat not even Egypt has the capacity to monitor her waters including the coast line like the Nigerian navy.. Nigeria has Asw capable helicopters that will damage your whole sub. And make them kiss the seabed. Sonars are used even by some fishing companies to know the dept of the waters they'd be sailing on. You keep yapping about your navy sinking all NATO submarines, India did same, but you know what, they just played with you. All nato countries have been using subs for more than 50years... And you expect SAn with the submarine your captain said was used in chasing sharks to win in a submarine war? You are daft bro. Nigeria has the most modern battle tank and artillery piece in Africa, most modern mi-35 attack Helo even by world standard. Our ISR capability is top notch and nothing in SA comes close. In actual war, your navy won't sail near our waters not even in their dreams, and nothing will make us sail across your waters because it will be bloody. May be we can do a little dance on Ghanian waters |

Again, I wonder what conscience allows you to speak well of past COAS while hurling insults on the current one Nigeria as a whole is burning now... Boko Haram will soon strike Abuja, let's watch.(Abuja kaduna road is getting worse by the day. Listen!! I never praised any past COAS, but you see this current one, he is failing. The military is trying but sacrificing too much men. A change in leadership now, will greatly boost their moral Na them know Sha. I leave you guys in peace. |

klhazhik: Do we have to remind ourselves histories? Like we forget history very fast here on this Platform? Or we just pretend like we don't remember and just decide to sound ignorant?
Do we have to remind ourselves the April 24, 2014 Nyanya Bombing? Or we talk about the June 16, 2011 NPF HQ Abuja Bombing? Should we remind ourselves about the August 2011 UN Bombing? Or the July 2013 BH attacks on students in Yobe? Are we so forgetful or we just choose to pretend to forget the Great April, 2014 Chibook Girls Abduction? Or numerous incidents like the January 2015 Monday Market attack in Maiduguri, Kogi State Attack et cetera (that's to mention but a few)...?
And all this Attacks under which Military Chiefs?
But it doesn't matter anyway, does it? As long as all we want is One Unite & Peaceful Nigeria, Yeah?
Truth be told, We lost Good boys, it ache our heart.
Some moniker claim he's in Maiduguri and he can say "We've lost as many boys as boko haram (this year, maybe)", well, If i can recall, I once call him out to be a Liar and that's what he is!
Another Moniker even think he knows the exact Planning and Operations the Military need in defeating the Enemies...
Forgetting DHQ aren't sleeping either...
I can't see 'Politics or Political' anywhere in the topic... Why derail the thread with Politics or Military Chiefs Achievement Comparison?
Oga @Bidexiii, Chill, You gotta realise that some times you get to let some ignorant comment go. Like you see a moniker and be like " Well, I don't expect much from you"... You just have to ignore them!
Shall we have some fresh air, Please? how many service chiefs did we have between 2011 and 2015... Let me show you something |

FieldMarshall06: The extent of damning criticism of the military on this thread is alarming,,,,, many coming from people who never held planning/operational positions.
I am yet to see sensible serving or retired NA officers churn out the criticisms that illiterate posters dish out. These pipu think they know something, when they kniw nothing....
Which war does not have heavy casualties... nonsense you are crying, hush now big baby . We will not criticize your COAS again... He is the best man for the job When he is done serving, he will leave you here and go stay in Dubai.. No sensible Nigerian will criticize the soldiers fighting to keep the nation safe... jln115: Estimate sizes of Boko haram is 5500-6000 not 25000.
Secondly m23 had T55 tanks, Ratel IFVs, hundreds of 23mm technicals, actual uniforms and military barracks ect ect they were the biggest and best equipped rebel group in Africa before being eradicated by The SA led UN FIB.
Boko Haram is just another Rebel group..... Just because your defense force is incapable of defeating them doesn't make BH this almighty powerful terrorist group.... It just means you army is inept at coin warefare hence they hired South African mercenaries to train them and fight BH. yes man dey M23 had t90 tanks Atgms, f-35 jets. Submarine.. enough to make you guys run to the french for help after they massacred your SF |

bidexiii: Liars like you would display your hatred by your comments. Militia and banditry has been before these present administration, the only new one is the kidnapping. Now let bring your ears and let me shout it deep into your ear drums; probably you have a memory that forgets easily. Under the watchful eye of Jonathan and those figurine you call COAS; they watched has BHT escalated and became a renowned terrorist group. The kidnapping of the chibook girls also made them popular all thanks to your useless former COAS and with the assistance Of GEJ. They never reacted to kidnapping till a months. Before the advent of the incumbent president and COAS; suicide bombing in churches, mosques, market and other public places where the other of the day, Whalen was the last time a suicide bomber happened in Borno ? Borno, Yobe and Adamawa where occupied in BHT occupations, now they’ve been pushed back to Borno state only. Dude that’s a major achievement. Ask the United States and their allies in the Middle East, they’re making the region more worst. Stop displaying your ignorance here; Anything that happened today to BHT/ISWAP to spit into faction his as a result of past incompetence leadership from the government and military hierarchy. In March 2015, Boko Haram became an affiliate of the Islamic State (IS). In August 2016, leadership struggles led to a split within Boko Haram, pitting the Islamic State's West Africa Province (ISWAP) against Jama'atu Ahl al-Sunnah lil-Dawa wal-Jihad (JAS). Your dummy ass want to blame Buhari for the two factions of terrorist group we have few months when he became President Dude look for another point ! bro enough with the insult already, if I start my own now, una go say I dey insult person mama, don't forget this"insult na my thing" so chill and enjoy our little argument (if there's anything to argue about the incompetence of a seemingly dead man and his inept COAS). Lecture me on the good side I have never seen in the inept dous While I lecture you on their ineptness as leaders in the helms of affair. In a civil manner so we won't burn this place Let's start again. Bubu and his boy Burutanshi are both useless at the moment what do you think oga bidexii |

slimthugchimee2: Wasn't boko haram bombing as far as Jo's then?
Also wasn't Maiduguri totally surrounded by boko haram? your army under burutanshi and Buhari just unveiled a modern day, state of the art book while soldiers are dieing.. No sir as at the time the ineffectual Duos took over the Coin war, there was only one terrorist group, BHT/ISWAP and were only bombing maiduguri using suicide bombers... But today there are now 3 different terrorist groups terrorising even south south. They are all over in NW NE and NC. Thunder fire who no gree fire buratai. bidexiii: Am little bit disappointed in you because you’re not a rookie but I know your problem. Buhari’s haters plus the fact that the COAS is from the north. Your dumb so called PhD president watched BHT escalated, did nothing when the chibok girls where kidnapped spotted it was all setup till a full month when he took any action. Both iherinjika and Minimah where dumb clueless and did nothing than embezzling funds. Point out one meaningful thing they did in the northeast war against insurgents. no need to dey shout my brother, the evidence of the dou's inability to manage the crises keeps pouring in. I don't care what region the president comes from, let him even be a juju chief priest, IDC. But result should be seen not more dead soldiers, Recently the COAS has been trying to save his image by showing us those metal contraption he calls military vehicles.. Back in 2015, all we heard was BH/ISWAP, but today under the watch of your darling president and his COAS, we have more than 2 terrorist organization. And killing more Nigerians, Soldiers have become sacrificial lambs in this war. |
