NNPCL...to compensate it for the losses made in selling imported fuel to the marketers at a price lower than the landing cost.
Is there a provision for it in the budget?. Was their anything like that in the supplementary budget?

You are getting it wrong , the volume of fuel used daily has dropped by over 30 percent so even if as you claim the subsidy paid now is 500 it still won't be up to what buhari was paying , I don't think you guys fully understand that Nigeria can't sustain outrageous payments of subsidy for another 6 months, if the subsidy amount is as high as you claim the govt would react, they won't have the capacity to carry it through.
Don't mind them, the number of educated illiterates in this country is alarming.

There is a subsidy. NNPC is the sole importer of fuel . Other importers cannot come in because we have run out of forex to do most anything.

Anyway, we wait for the refineries to come on line. But if Dangote fuel is selling for N400 per liter, there is a subsidy, and government is paying it again.
So, if NNPCL is the sole importer, who then is collecting the subsidy?. That's just what i want to know.

Ok, FG is paying subsidy to itself?. See how crude, dull and ignorant you are, quick to open mouth but empty upstairs.

Nnpc sales crude use it to buy petrol sale at a huge loss of 500 per litre
Are you talking about crude oil swap?, hope you're not an illiterate?. who are those that FG is paying subsidy to?

There is a subsidy. Otherwise, fuel would be above N900 per liter. This has nothing to do with politics or tinubu.
Do you realize it is an open market?, you don't. if there is subsidy, who are those collecting it?

Who are the people importing petrol?
NNPCL is the sole importer of petrol as we speak. So. who are the people collecting subsidy?
Politics › Re: Ruto: Tinubu’s Decision On Petrol Subsidy Removal Needed For Africa’s Developmen by Pakute: 10:37am On Dec 03, 2023
wirinet:
Exactly. What's the landing cost of petrol today? The landing cost of petrol and diesel is not much different. If diesel is selling at N1200/litre without subsidy, petrol should selling for at least N900 without subsidy, but is selling for between N600 to N650. So who is paying the difference?
NNPC and the government is just hiding the fact from Nigerians.
Tell us, who are those collecting the subsidy?

Subsidy is still being paid and collected.
Just that the beneficiaries are now determined by the presidency.

Tinubu is currently paying more subsidy than Buhari and yet we are still buying the fuel over 3 times the price of Buhari's government...
Who are the people he's paying the subsidy to?

MEEVEET:
So who says we no longer have subsidy?

You removed subsidy and petrol is 680 and diesel is 1200

Dey play make una dey play

Nigeria is paying more subsidy today than we have ever paid in our history we are paying over 550 per liters
Who are those receiving the subsidy?
Politics › Re: Ruto: Tinubu’s Decision On Petrol Subsidy Removal Needed For Africa’s Developmen by Pakute: 10:09am On Dec 03, 2023
nairalanda1:
1.Tinubu did a partial removal, not a full removal of subsidy.

2.His hand was forced anyway. The loans taken for the past 10 years or more have caught up with us, and the IMF was not going to give us any more loans until we did something

3.Anyway, I wait till Dangote and company all come on stream. If fuel is still costing below N700 after, my suspicions would be heightened.

Anyway, never ever trust a Nigerian politican.

P,S : The truth is subsidy has to go completely. But the truth is, African leaders don't know how to take hard decisions.
Trash!. There's no more subsidy. Your IMF theory is bullshit, no financial institution would avoid the biggest economy in Africa. Besides, Tinubu talked about removing subsidy before becoming President.

This President does not look like someone that's bothered by the grunting of pigs. He's meeting with his colleagues, world leaders, people at his level, having fun, marketing Nigeria to the world. Let pigs keep sniffing the soil with their nose, looking for what is not lost while Nigeria keep moving forward.

Kudos to the LASG. In a few decades from now, some people will claim they developed the rail lines.
In 10yrs, developers will say when they came, Lagos was a bush path, they brought in tractors, cleared all the bush paths and laid the train tracks. They came and gave Ragos the trains, we are the heroes.

What if that flash is empty. What exactly is the volume of the document that will warrant a flash. The president is suppose to present a hard copy stop being myopic. Have you also asked yourself why is the national assembly not using computer to read there plenary. Go to United Nations assembly or European Union assembly and see if they use flash drives. This is exact reason this country is so backwards in everything you people justify everything
What IFs... Trash!

Who is Galambi again?. It's high time DSS started picking up nonentities.
Nigeria opposition is proving to be a congregation of the most intellectually lazy people in the world. These are the same ratheads that would quickly point to US, UK, Canada, etc when they talk but do you see the President or PrimeMinister of an advanced country going to the legislative assembly with boxes or trailer of papers to present budget?. With flash drive, you could easily print out the budget details for each lawmaker. And that's the innovation Jagaban is introducing to end the archaic system of budget boxes. Nigeria's opposition are too backward thinking, everything na to dey open mouth dey wail, no sense.

Are you talking of Lagos that has been voted, designated and recognised as the worst place to live in the world ? Thank God for the set of governors we have in the southeast now...........every Igbo man with sense in his skull should start a gradual move back to the east before you become a stranger in your own land! The time to shut this hostile people up HAS COME!!
So, why are you then crying blood over small demolition?, you should be happy that you are being erased in "the worst place to live in", so you could quickly return to live in "the best place to live in".

Your uncles are picking up the small boys in your region, put them in buses coming to SW to come and slave for them in their shops as igba boi. Hundreds of these boys are leaving your region every year as early as 7 -10 years. When these boys leave, who fills the classrooms?, the girls!. There's trouble looming in the future of southeast.
