afrodoc2: It is not only about times she ran but the fact that she improved her 100m and 200m time by half a second in 1988 and retired immediately mandatory random testing was introduced.
If you know about athletics you will know it’s virtually impossible to improve your 100m time by half a second within months…………unless you are getting help either via steroids or juju.
Flo Jo was probably my first international athletic hero BUT i am with the majority that believe she doped. It is what it is. Well as you said it is what it is. I just feel the times might not be impossible as they make it to be. I understand your points Sha. |

Looking back at the heats, Okagbare face looked like she was bleaching, could it be a side effect of the drug use. After aunty done exhaust her strength on heats finish, she go kon carry kpo (last) for quarter final. I'm sure she had run her best on heats. You see that Jamaica athlete for second? BlueMann: Surprised cos I wanted him to do the Golden slam. Anyways, at least Zverev is through, I'd love for him to win it - at least as small compensation for all his grand slam disappointments. He just lost the mixed doubles too. Nadal remains the only one to win Gold in the singles. All this would not matter if Novak wins the Us open though, it would be the beginning of certifying him GOAT outrightly. |

PDPGuy: Blessing Okagbare and Grace Nwokocha are both through to the Women’s 100m semifinals, after clocking 11.05s and 11.00s, respectively, in their heats.
Nwokocha’s 11s run is her new PB They both did well. After the bad news earlier in the day this is a succor. They would need to improve on that time so as to make the finals and possibly a medal. The race would be tighter than usual this year. In addition to the favs - Elaine Thompson, Asher smith and Fraser- Pryce. Leahna Daniels and that ivorian Ta lou have shown they aren't there just to make up the nos. I feel sorry for Sha carri that was disqualified |

donjazet: Amoto, thanks for this. This was quite a powerful interview. I must say, I like rudigers literary prowess. And he's obviously insightful. I'm surprised a powerful article like this didn't make waves when initially released. Systemic racism? Maybe. This was very insightful.
Systemic racism is the greatest obstacle to eliminating racism. Notice how rudigers continually called out the press for it's role in fuelling racist rethoric? Actually it did especially in Chelsea circles on Twitter and reddit. I am not sure but I think I posted the link here. It was like 3 or 4 days before the final. Racism in Italy is just too overboard, probably only matched by that of those slavic Eastern europeans. Those ones are racist not just to blacks but to anyone not speaking their tongue. |
