raumdeuter: I agree with you on yesterdays debate, I think Trump did better, He kept asking Biden that all these fantastic policies you are reeling out, why didnt you do them when you were in power till 4yrs ago? And Biden had no answer, At a time Biden wanted to say "I was not commander in chief" which will be throwing Obama under the bus
Biden has been in politics for almost 50yrs so he is a politician
The election proper I think Biden wins It would be a shocker to me if Trump wins. The negativity towards him has reached a serious high due to Covid. No wonder baba tried to move the elections forward in order to buy time to boost the economy. |

Cos we're under mad lockdown here... That disease hasn't killed enough nor is the disease scary enough for Nigerians. Just the description of what Ebola could do was enough for lagosians to embrace personal hygiene and sanitizers. Most people here rank covid somewhere around the same danger level as malaria fever with cold. |

Neobulletzz: Lol Baba it’s not about having issues with the protest. Some people want clear objective of where we are heading too Ibime gave an example I think. For this protest to end, a #5for5 was given which include increase pay of police, Police are Civil Servants and they pay Civil servants base on level. Ibime said something nobody can’t authoritatively inctease just one aspect of Civil Service over others on the same level, so looking at that it is somehow impossible and without that the Government have not met with our demands which means protest won’t end since Government won’t or can’t meet up with the #5for5 Look at one country already on 71 days and counting of protest, another on 101 and counting. Do you want us to do that? I bet you the Government are ready to go down with us even if it is 200 days, they would play the game. Innocent citizens would countinue dieing and the Government would only watch, they won’t come out, they won’t die We would only be seeing international celebs and organizations tweeting I stand with my Nigerian brothers and that is where it would end? Looking at the other unofficial request too like #Buhariresign #NASSpaycut, now the protest is open to all already, loosing its purpose Some just want to clear what we are doing not just roaming about the streets everyday and nothing is been done We just need to restrategize and know where we are going, that’s what some people need, they want to know what we are doing? Spot on. We youth should strategize based on the circumstances of our country. What works in Europe isn't likely to work in Nigeria because of different perception. We the well meaning youths need to pool resources and knowledge to capture that legislature come 2023. |

Nigerian youths that want a better Nigeria have to find unity within the disunity. There has to be a formation of a political party from which youths can attempt to take control of power through elections starting from the legislative arm at state and National levels. Especially that National assembly, a radical legislature would in a way check the excess of the Executive and also sanitize the Judiciary.
I hope for the sake of the millenial/Gen Z Nigerian generation and the generation we would give birth to that we can carry this out. Setbacks like the way this protest is going should rather strengthen us rather than make us lose hope like the older generation. |

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will become only the second Englishman to manage in two Champions League campaigns, after Sir Bobby Robson (three - 1993-94, 1998-99 and 2002-03). The last Englishman to manage an English side in consecutive European Cup campaigns was Joe Fagan in 1983-84 and 1984-85 with Liverpool.
English managers must be really poor mehn. |

Head-to-head This will be the first European encounter between Chelsea and Sevilla. Chelsea Chelsea have won one of their past nine Champions League matches against Spanish opponents (D5 L3) - a 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid in September 2017. Chelsea have lost their past two Champions League matches - they have never lost three consecutively in major Uefa European competition. Chelsea have lost their first match in a Champions League campaign twice in 16 previous seasons in the competition (W10 D4). Sevilla Sevilla have won each of their past three major European matches against English teams, beating Manchester United in March 2018 in the Champions League last 16, Wolves in August 2020 in the Europa League quarter-final and United in August 2020 in the Europa League semi-final. Sevilla have won only one of their seven away major European matches in England (D3 L3), a 2-1 win at Old Trafford in March 2018. All seven of their away games have been against different teams - Bolton, Tottenham, Arsenal, Man City, Leicester, Liverpool and Man Utd. This is Sevilla's sixth appearance in the Champions League - they have not lost on matchday one since they were beaten 3-0 by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium in 2007-08. Stats suggest Chelsea looking good for knockout stages Sports data analysts Gracenote says Chelsea have 83% chance of progressing to the knockout stages of the Champions League. Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis at Nielsen's Gracenote, says: "The chance of Chelsea reaching the knockout stage was improved by the draw from 74% to 83% according to the Euro Club Index ( www.euroclubindex.com). "This was due to a combination of avoiding higher ranked teams than Sevilla from the top seeds and the better pot 3 and 4 teams being drawn in other groups." |

donjazet: I swear down, one can't truly understand a situation like he who wears the shoe that pains.
Sometime ago when i watched the news and saw some people run down black lives matter protesters in America, I was like what kind of heartless barbarity is that??
But after spending 5 hours in traffic yesterday because of these fools who don't even know what the're protesting again, my perspective became very much clearer on how those people felt.
At this point, I am asking why we don't just take the win so far and chill and watch how things progress from here.
In America, after the death of George Floyd, millions of people all over the world, came out in support and solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Trump didn't even pay close attention, he kept screaming law and order but at least he held dialogues with police Chiefs that led to slight reforms on police manhandling.
Before you knew it, the protests started getting derailed to other issues that had nothing to do with the original intent of the protest Good or bad as they might have been), People started defacing all revered monuments, started blocking highways and calling for a total abolishment of the police force. At that point, normal people lost interest and the zeal to still protest and 4 months later, you still have some people protesting for God knows what. The protests are thoroughly unrecognizable from how it started. Everyone is now tired of seeing all these protests in America now that have even turned violent in many cases and would rather the whole thing stopped for now.
We in Nigeria need to learn from that. The protests were very honorable to begin with, with a very simple message #END SARS. The international community has rallied behind us and the government has responded swiftly too. They have banned the unit and assured that the unit is now rendered defunct with reformation for it's members. We have to take this win and bide our time, now the protests are being hijacked with all sorts of agenda from different people. The protests are gradually progressing to riots, the protesters are now a nuisance to the average citizen on the road.
These protests have to end now. LET'S TAKE THE WIN AND BIDE OUR TIME. Else normal people will lose the zeal to continue to support us. I agree with your post to an extent but I need clarity on the bolded. What do you mean by normal people? |

Ibime: Add Ollie Watkins, Rashford and Greenwood.
Na the desperation of needing to score goals to compete with fellow England strikers make am dey drag penalty with Jorginho. To get to that top is still possible. Kane is preferred choice for now but a fitter, faster striker whose conversation rate is on par could displace him. Tammy still needs polishing as a center forward especially as a target man. His heading is poor, he doesn't have that upper body strength, his finishing is around 7/10 which must be improved. With form and injuries on his side he might make 2nd or third choice CF. |
