Hello house, Please im looking for a cheap room close to Deakin university. I want to rent for a week. I will be entering Australia this month end. Please help a sister abeg |
As one of those who reported that the list had been cancelled and people had been sent outside the country, based solely on what i was told, i would like to apologize as i have seen that so many people are holding tightly to this hope (NDDC) for a better future. Even after what i heard, i still come to this platform everyday to see if theres any positive development, i still pray and fast and i still have faith in God that it will end in praise. I cant profess my faith in God and be swayed by negative news. I only just reported what i had i been told. That said, i believe that even as we wait for this scholarship, we ought to keep applying for others. There are so so many out there. Throw in different applications, you may never know which one clicks. A scholarship that cannot even release the list of its successful candidates on time, omo dem go leave you high and dry 4 obodo oyibo o. Please lets not use this platform for calling people out or talking about how doomed the black race is. We are bigger and better than that. God bless us all and cause our paths to shine bright. |
I dont think we would need to prepare for a fresh exercise. Why i say this is because last year, as at 27th of April, they had already advertised for new applications. |
lolololhvfvhb98:And what if i tell you that i know one person that is currently in the UK under NDDC scholarship. What if i tell you that he didnt even take the test yet he was asked to come and collect his award letter in November last year. For you to assume that i didnt 'do well' beats my imagination. Anyways, i thought i should share that. I didnt expect to be attacked for sharing. I was also very disappointed. Please keep your hopes and expectations alive. We live in a messed up country, thats all i will say. |
My people, its hard for me to say this but there will be no 2017 list. I met another friend some days ago who confirmed that people were actually sent outside the country under the scholarship scheme. Some of these people didnt even write the test talkless of going for the interview. MAN KNOW MAN. Its a really sad experience for me because I know how much of my resources that went into the whole process. That said, i wish you all success in your academic pursuits. God bless us all. |
I just read Ekere's statement on NDDC's official website and he said that processes for the selection of graduates for the foreign scholarship programme will start early this year and be concluded by May. He made no mention of the 2017 list. If you ask me, based on his statement, im not sure he intends to release that list. |
Well, based on my conversation with the official, he told me that they have 'paid' all scholars.. i guess their definition of payment is what they just did (paying for one year).. when i asked him if he thinks that the list will still be published, he was sincere enough to tell me that he really doesnt know.. im just wondering if NDDC will be bold enough to advertise for fresh scholarship applications for 2018 after what they put prospective scholars through last year and knowing that they just went silent after they conducted interviews... the 10k they were supposed to pay, they didnt.. I really would not be surprised if they had secretly sent some people outside the country as someone told me that a friend of hers received a message in Dec (last year) to come to ph for his award letter... Though i cant verify this but we are in Nigeria and anything can happen |
I heard from an NDDC official that the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs placed a ban on the scholarship until all payments are made and so they are waiting for him to lift the ban before they can publish the 2017 list... Since payments have been made, i really wonder why the list hasnt been published by now.. Its so sad.. January is already coming to an end! |
