Firstly run as many search terms as possible on the person as possible, Google, whatsapp, truecaller, friends and family, addresses and all that, then slow down and plan ur bait...

I once caught a man owing me money and running from me tru facebook, I got his handle, discovered his wives handle, became friends with the wife with a fake fb profile, told her I wanted to mkt some cheap hair products, she gave phone no. And shop location, went there with police and she led us to the husband...

Thats just one lucky example, the truth is this things are difficult to do... but its worth giving it a short, patience is crucial, I fell short of posting my story 2 days ago, but I was like, this boy will just run away further... so I stayed calm did a lil more planning and here we r.... luck is needed too an the help of God...

starboy contacted the admin first telling them he never saw alert, you never contacted the admin.
so you expect the admin to still be on your matter for over 6hrs? A lot of trade go on in remitano and hence lots of dispute arising from people trying to scam others, delayed bank transfer etc to be resolved. I have blocked 2persons there who wanted to play smart.

even nairaland escrow services cannot be doing escrow if a trade is delayed for more than 5hrs. I've seen it happened here. Don't want to mention names.

Like I said, I pray you get your money soon and trade wisely sir!

@ 6hrs, the trade for 3hrs plus, @expect admin to wait, u can't compare free selfless escrow service here, remitanno is paid escrow, thanks for ur prayers all the same

remitano app was developed in Vietnam, but they have Nigerians working with them, using our time zone. I've been contacted by a Nigerian when a trade was being unnecessarily delayed and my btc was frozen.

Ok, It is safe to say, it is cool 4 ur money to go lets say u pay, and u ran out of power or sth else happens impromptu, and the other party only sent mobile phone sms screenshots, I woke up 4a.m, trade was over... mind u, we were talking b4 I slept, I did not ignore him all round, he gave me uba acct, I educated him on the challenge I had with uba, so he gave me zenith, then I paid, we had a rapport, we both agreed to wait, he did not demand proof then, i wud kindly obliged him, we both agreed to wait, I was confident e wud get his money, cos some other traders have started releasing btc to me, total I aad 11 trades on, all other ten has released b4 I woke up...

Bro.. I've been following your case with starboyflight. As much as I sympathise with you, I want to say that remitano is safe to trade. my main moniker (iebanehita) was banned by antispam bot.

what you should have done is to upload POP after making payment. that way, remitano admin will never cancel the trade. I've traded over 1.2btc there. Username on remitano is same with naira land (iebanehita). If the admin see uploaded POP, the will tell starboy to wait since payment has been sent.

All the same, I pray you collect your money.

Starboy did not have a strong proof to b resolved in such a time, only sms screenshot, I have done 500+ btc on localbtc with 1000+ traders, they will give minimum of half a day to respond, I have done bout 3btc on remitanno, on their terms they don't mention that they resolve trade within 3hrs with poor evidence,
All they say is that we should be patient for seller to confirm funds, they should take their own advice, anybody can modify sms alert to look like they have paid or have not bn paid to, depends on what u intend to achieve, the least they should done was request he sent dem bank statement on mobile banking screenshot

Madam, put yourself in shoes of remitano admin. you're doing escrow. Buyer said he has paid, seller said he hasn't received payment. buyer now went to sleep, keeping seller waiting for over 6hrs. won't you begin to think that buyer is a scammer? I'm not in support of starboy though but remitano admin gives time frame for every dispute to be resolved.

It was midnight nigeria time, discretion should at least apply, plus e only gave dem sms screenshot not his bank statement, we de naija, anything can happen, ppls phone can have lo battery and die, d trade was given to him in 3 hrs plus, localbitcoin will give 12 to 48hrs, at least half a day, depends on d case scenario...

Before I slept by 1 a.m we were speaking amicably, nobody has requested for pop, he just said he has not seen money, an I told him not to worry, and that it will come, so he said ok, then I slept to wake up to a cancelled trade, on remitano, once d trade is closed u cant access the chat column, so till now I dont know what transpired there, but he obviously did not show them bank statement either, cos if e did, he wud hav put it in our trick trade dispute, he only had sms alert screenshot to show, remitanno is wack, one just hv 2 b carefull wen using dem...

I paid for six other trades b4 I slept too, they all released btc 2 me wen I woke up...

I had a chat early this morning who starboyflight, told him what he did was bad and I advised him to pay panmic either in cash or coins since he claimed he used it to buy coins. It is totally wrong to use someone's money for watever reason without informing the guy.

courtesy demands that immediately u received the cash, d first thing u should do is contact the guy to know whether to refund or send the said amount of coins.

the guy claims he would pay panmic as soon as his coins clear from remitano, which I don't get. he said remitano held his coins and claims he has 0 naira and zero coins.

Well lemme educate him a little on what I cud to him, I cud instantly place a call to my bank and report that the transaction was a fraudulent payment, all funds in that acct will be blocked and frozen, I spent most of yesterday afternoon at the office of the efcc, to help with another fraud matter, I cud easily add ur matter, , n they can place what they call aprehend on site on all of ur accounts, it means the moment u walk Into any bnk, e wud b arrested...

Good evening house, abeg make una follow me judge this matter oo, I was trading with this man on remitano, I paid him by midnight, the alert delayed, b4 I woke up, I discovered he managed to convince the admin to cancel d trade and return bitcoin to him, I called my bank to confirm transaction status by 6a.m, they said transaction was still processing and they said they cannot do anything about it, I called my bank by 8.30 and they confirmed that the money was in his acct, since then the man has refused to pick my calls or reply my sms... so I noticed he has a big social media presence, which I warned him to be cautious about protecting his image, but he does not seem to bother, so I set up a trade with him by some1 else
