1) Either not very ambitious
2) Have really bad agents and have refused to change such agents

Osimhen is looking like he'll waste his pr8mw years in Turkey and at the end of the day, it'll be a "what if, what if" situation. God forbid for him sha. He's too good for that league

I saw the arrival of the French national team members to their training ground and I was grossly ashamed of how we treat our football stars.
Nothing stops the NFF from organising registered airport taxis to take these boys from the airport to their hotels after long trips.

We have to do better than this, these are guys that sacrifice their precious few days rest/visiting loved ones, to play for the honour of the country and we treat them like common nobodies

Yet we can quickly condemn some players that chose other countries above ours

Mubarak Suleiman - from the moment I watched him vs Arsenal and the likes in the Uefa Youth League, I knew another solid Naija talent has emerged.

A strong addition to the U23s.

The Other Slavia lads are all very solid ballers: Ayaosi, Moses, Isife.

Leaving him out of the Super Eagles Squad knowing he is likely to be available today is not a good look especially seeing how lean we are in midfield this window. Chelle and his technical team should kindly watch it.

Though missing out on the world cup is already a norm for us, I just have to remind us that if we depend on this midfield and the likes of Simon, we will also not smell the 2030 world cup.


Chelle should prioritise Yah, Ugochukwu, Iorpenda, Iroegbu, Francis Onyeka and Ozoh. Our midfield depth is so shallow and average. Kudos to him for bringing Nwoko on board.

Ugochukwu needs to settle at Galatasaray, he hasn't particularly been firing on all cylinders yet, but he's in Chelle's radar.

Francis Onyeka has already been approached from credible sources and seems enthused about playing for Nigeria, paperwork for his switch should be getting sorted before December.

Ozoh is already in the project, he should have been invited for the Russian friendly though,maybe injured?

Iroegbunam is already processing his nationality switch

No comment on Iorpenda.

It's like the reorganisation in the NFF had an effect on this list. Especially the AFCOQ list, no such names from Akpa amu FC and the rest

The road map under Eric Chelle is simple...the days of Ndidi, Simon, Iwobi and even Ajayi are numbered, but they are still very key players for us in providing that experience in navigating us through the tricky AFCON qualifiers, their hour glass sand gets filled up after the next AFCON...which by then the U23 generation Chelle is building should be ready to phase out some of our aging players in the persons of Simon,Ndidi and even Iwobi. That's why that U23 team if gotten right is very foundational to our rebuilding process.

Chibuzo Nwoko is the new first of several more young dual nats to follow. He was nominated for PL2 Player of the Month (August 2026) which was eventually won by Kaye Furo. A solid young prospect but we arent stopping here.
