lbrichman2: Okoye 's positioning let him down Nwabali saves that which positioning? Why re you not blaming the midfielders that left such space for the guy to shoot? Did you really see how that shoot swerved if you truly watched the e game with a clear device and steady internet connection? Mk una go rest abeg |

EElopa: Whoever is blaming Okoye for that second goal knows nothing about football. That was a wonderful strike. The ball swerved to the left midway, and Okoye needed to adjust mid-motion and was just beaten by the velocity of the strike. they all know the truth but full of hate for the poor lad Even if Okoye saves 5 clear cut chances an average Nigerian football fan will never rate him How on earth do you expect him to save a swerving long ranger when the midfield that was suppose to close the scorer down not to allow him space didn’t do their job? |

FiveFootNinja: Meanwhile Denmark vs DR Congo is looking like a stalemate. 90+ mins and still no goal.
One thing I've noticed about this DR Congo side is that they're not the best playmakers. They're not even that good technically. What they have is good strength, immense stamina, dangerous counterattacking, and a defense that can frustrate the life out of you. That's why they're so hard to beat. Many of their games tend to end 1-1, 1-0 or 0-0 Lol. gidigbo football at its finest 😁🤣 |

Sugarboyy: Imagine a SE team without players like Aina on the right, Bassey in defence, Iwobi in midfield and Osimhen and Lookman in attack still playing like a European team with clean passes and ball controls. What Chelle cannot do doesn't exist. the man is a blessing to our super eagles Only if the NFF will do the needful |

TheSuperNerd: Bewene has to learn to close down or cut off a cross/shot threat better on his side of the pitch. He seems to leave lots of space between himself and the pole so he can afford to manipulate the ball with a cross or shot.
He's been decent in some phases going forward and in possession but defensively, he still falls short. I believe this experience will help his development. The kid isn’t bad but I think he is overwhelmed by the game as a young debutant |

Our defence today needs to be discussed with nothing is wrong with the defence. The only leakage is from Bewene’s side of the defence of which the kid haven’t done too bad for a young debutant Good game from the team so far |

🚨📈 Understand Chelsea have now also entered the race for Zadok Yohanna. #CFC
Newcastle’s proposal is currently understood to be the highest.
Brighton, however, are still hoping to secure the player’s commitment. Verbal agreement 100 % done.

⚪ Newcastle United continue to explore the talent market.
📋 Magpies expected to strengthen their attack this summer, with several shortlists already drawn up.
🇩🇿🇸🇪 Anis Hadj Moussa (Feyenoord) and Zadok Yohanna (AIK) are among the names being monitored. #NUFC #mercato |

semid4lyfe: 1. I do not think Zadok is that good.
2. The EPL is too much step up in quality from the Swedish league. He will face better and more experienced defenders, better managers, better game play, formations and tactics being deployed by teams to nullify his threat.
3. The guy was basically an amateur footballer in Nigeria about a year ago, and as is typical of home-based players still needs lots of things coached into and out of him.
4. I consider Sweden to EPL as too much of a leap. I'll have preferred Sweden ➡️ Belgium, Sweden ➡️ Netherlands, Sweden ➡️ France, Sweden ➡️ Germany, Sweden ➡️ Spain route for him to develop better as a footballer.
5. The EPL does not develop players. Its a perform or burst league. It will either make or mar him.
Still, as one of ours, I wish him the best and hope he performs well in the league. spot on, it will be ideal if Brighton will send him on loan to maybe Belgian top flight or the French ligue 1 but with the amount they re willing to splash on him I doubt that will happen EPL maybe too big for him to play in after just a season in Sweden |

TheSuperNerd: It is only a matter of time. A new allsvenskan transfer record will likely be set but can Zadok feature in the EPL already through Brighton applying for exceptions rule or will he be loaned out immediately to accrue GBE points?
With no Int'l caps too yet, it is a challenge for Brighton but I think it is part of why they are paying this high. Time will tell. I think he will play because of the amount Brighton are paying for him which is over 16m pounds Same applied to Ndidi when he moved from Genk to Leicester though he had few caps then for the national team but not up to the required number needed for him to automatically qualify to play in the epl |

🆕 Brighton have reached a verbal agreement with Zadok Yohanna. The 18 y/o talented winger is one of their priority targets. Many clubs closely monitoring the situation.
Negotiations with AIK are ongoing. RB Leipzig are currently out of the race as the deal is considered too expensive.

TheSuperNerd: Na all of them I wan see sef including their newest signing, Emmanuel Ayaosi. Let's see... Even the left back at Averca Portugal who emerged as one of the best in his position last season? What about Anthony Dennis of Gotzpe? On what basis did Tijani get a call up ahead of Slavia’s Moses who is better and plays for a club tijani can’t even smell their bench in the same league? Calling up players from worst teams in obscure leagues doesn’t make sense to me because they can’t even battle the players in super eagles main team for a spot |

TheSuperNerd: Senegal's 18y/o CDM, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye on loan at Bayern Munich from Gambian side, Gambinos Stars.
First Senegal Cap and start vs USA.... impressive in the Idrissa Gueye Role.
Nigeria have 19 y/o John Otomewo and 19 y/o Mukhtar Adamu who offer similar skillsets (Decent technicality, top speed and solid physicality) to this Senegal kid as CMs/CDMs. You are welcome as long as you are good enough. If you good enough, you are old enough. There is also another 19y/o Ridwan Popoola in Hungary. Same league where CB, Akpe Victory (linked with a major move this summer) has been silently making waves.
Bayern brought Bara from Gambian football in January 2026 thanks to their partnership via Red&Gold Football (Bayern & LAFC joint venture) with Gambinos since 2023...... insane scouting. Have seen few clips of Otemewo and I love what I saw. It will be disappointing if that kid remains in the Israeli league after this summer. For visibility sake atleast a move to Belgium will do his career a lot of good |
