You need to understand what we call Cinderella stories of football. The Bulgaria side of 94' was an example of that. Beating Bulgaria in our opening game was the turning point for Bulgarian football history who up until then have never won a world cup match having participated four (not exactly sure) times before . What they had was a Cinderella story that saw them beat Greece and shocked the world beating Argentina in the final group game. That run saw them reach the semi finals. I'm sure you know there are a host óf teams that have pulled out this sort of stories in football only to disappear after such feat. Greece in Euro 2004, Checzolvakia in Euro 96, Costarica in WC 14', etc. This I believe is more akin to Cape Verde. So nothing extraordinary in Bulgaria of 94 . Again this is no false impression or narratives . This is whole substance. Gracias.

The blame is on Osimhen, not Napoli. No matter how much you love a team and their fans, you should always put your career first by signing a favourable contract. Osimhen had no reason rushing the renewal of his contract when he did.

Four years at a time. Never extend except it is few months before your contract ends. If they will accept, also have a clause signed that you can leave if a better offer comes, and there also should be a price cap.

If Osimhen had things like these in place, he wouldn't have been in that mess.


Fulham is good, but I would rather Buike went to Napoli if Napoli puts in a similar offer. I like my players going to the big clubs.

Decision making. I call him glorified Madueke. Similarities. He will see space and attack aimlessly. He'll get dispossessed and make zero attempt to recover the ball. Lots of strolling when he should be pressing. His biggest forte is opening up for passing lanes IMO. He should just focus on crosses so the defect will be less annoying. Fernandez only played the first 45mins and he put no single foot wrong. He was decent defending and as always excellent with the ball on his feet. Whenever he was with the ball, he feels zero pressure.
Na Ogbu me they used corner eyes look and to me Nwaiwu seems better than Ogbu

Fernandez is a sleek ball playing stopper. Dont expect him to consistently bring the ball forward. Dangerous aerially too but we did not see much of his aerial threat yesterday.

Nwaiwu has a CDM background so is adept at initiating attacks from the back via lines-breaking final third passes or ball carrying. Also aggressive in his man markings. And like Fernandez also aerially dominant.

Two distinct CB profiles.

He is decent. His style of play is offensive rather than defensive CB. It depends on the kind of formation a coach wants to play maybe 3-5-2 suits him better.
Defensively Nwaiwu is better; he can track, mark and not prone to unnecessary mistakes unlike Fernandez.

This is not about disrespecting Nwabali seff. It's not today I've always been saying I prefer Nwabali to Okoye if both are available and fit.

Yesterday, Okoye proved why he's one of the best Serie A goalkeepers, na cracker goal everybody dey use crucify am forgetting the scoreline would've been like 4 goals in favour of Poland.

How everyone (at least you are even talking about the other saves, A LOT of people are not) chose to focus on that last goal dey burst my head seff.

That's one of the best performances I've seen from a Nigerian goalkeeper in a while.

Yes, he is, and this is why he is a first-choice goalkeeper in a midtable Serie A team, and big Serie A teams are making moves for him. He is worse than Uzoho, and a white man is paying him millions of dollars because he loved how terrible this Black African goalkeeper is, so he decided out of his good heart to be paying him millions of dollars a year to be terrible. I just showed the goal to a lot of my non-Nigerian friends, and not a single one blamed Maduka Okoye for that goal. They all agreed it would have taken an absolute world-class save, a save of the month/season contender, to have been able to save that bullet. Maduka Okoye is a very good, highly rated goalkeeper who kept us in the lead with the double world-class saves he made prior to conceding that late equalizer. Some people have an agenda towards this young man, and it is irritating. There is not a goalkeeper coach or person that watches football and understands football that will be blaming Maduka Okoye for that goal.
