Congrats dear.

Papiroza, note the highlighted. Just go on your trip with your correspondence and enough dollars. The intent letter is not needed since you had vacationed before
Thanks again and again. I actually read the testimony in quote too. I have decided to tell DW to go without us writing the change of intent letter. JFK will likely be the POE. I think the bigger deal is sorting out the issue of getting a doctor , a hospital and paying the necessary fees, in addition to having enough cash at hand. All will be well. Gracias!

Whilst agreeing with u that b1 and 2 are issuued concurrently, technically one has to specify the one he wants.
Frm the above post however, it sounds like u already have it all figured out...safe trip!
Thank you o jare. Like I said, I now follow this thread religiously. I'm just a little confused on how to write the letter change of intent. On this forum, I've read testimonies of people who fail to write the letter and still scaled through at POE. I've also read about those who wrote and got a generic response, stipulating that entering the USA is purely at the discretion of the CBP and immigration at the POE. In similar vein, some have written and got their visas cancelled. Hope u understand my dilemma. I don't have any reason to lie during the renewal and frankly didn't understand the differences in these visas. That's my fault anyways. Letter or not, so long I desire to have my kid in US, it will happen. The covenant I have with God is that He will grant all my wishes. Thanks for wishing me safe trip.

Lol cheesy if you knew b1/B2 covers medical why asking to write a change of intent letter? I read and understood your initial post and yes in the form, B1/B2 is further broken down into separate spaces. When you tick b1/B2, another box opens up to indicate if it is strictly B1 or B2 I guess you missed the memo.

Done with this.
May be I missed it.

shrekandfiona:
People always use this as an excuse, is the ds 160 form not the same for dropbox renewal? Why didn't you fill in B2(medical purpose), doctors address as contact person/org etc

Anyway you have your visa, no need for intent change cos you may be called and your visa cancelled. The change of intent letter has lost its steam cos of abuse.

Just get your doctor/hospital correspondence, get an appointment with your doctor, if possible make advance payments, keep the receipts, hold enuf $$$ and you're good to go. Then never make the mistake of going thru Chicago cos sorry will be ya last name.
I appreciate your response. However, I want to believe you missed or didn't comprehend the part that I said I didn't know it was wrong not to mention DW's pregnant status when I re-applied, as I wasn't an ardent follower of this thread by then. May be u also didn't understand that B1/B2 Visa, though classified as Business/ tourist, also covers medical treatment ( see the attached screen shot from US Visa website). I also clearly stated that I don't have a doctor and hospital yet. And yes, I will avoid Chicago and Houston POE, while also ensuring I have enough cash at hand (I guess u didn't see that part as well). Your emphasis on me making an excuse is absolutely needless and unnecessary. Thanks for sharing your thoughts once again

Hello people. Thanks for the wonderful work you guys are doing here. The benefits derived cannot be quantified. God bless you all.
My people, permit me to tender my case. Even though I've read a large portion of this thread from part 1 to 4, I crave una indulgence to ask these questions. Myself and family ( DW and 2 kids) got a B1/B2 visa to visit USA in 2014. We were invited by a friend, we got the visa and we all visited him in Washington as scheduled. Our Visas were to expire in April 2016 and we did a renewal by Dropbox in March 2016 and we were all granted. The old visa that had a month to go was cancelled without prejudice. I used the same address of my friend in Washington. However, I failed to declare during the renewal that DW was 3 weeks pregnant. Believe me, I didn't know I had to as I thought it wasn't necessary, given that there was no column on the form to state such (I was not an ardent follower of this thread then). Now, we are planning to birth in Chicago (thanks to reviews on this site. POE will definitely be JFK or elsewhere. Lol) and I intend to write "Change of intent" letter to the embassy. DW will travel by October ending, when she's 8 months gone, while I join her later with the kids. We are yet to get a hospital and a doctor, though I'm working on that already ( thanks again to this forum) My questions;
(1) At what point do I write "Change of intent " letter to the embassy? Is it after I have gotten a doctor and hospital?
(2 ) How do I couch the letter to show that DW didn't lie about her pregnancy for the renewal? We did Dropbox and there was no opportunity to be asked if she was preggy or not. I'm obviously concerned about the possibility that we could be caught on misrepresentation for not declaring her status during renewal, which may attract visa cancellation.
Make una reason with me abeg. God bless us all....

As long as VSA light is on, you will be losing some power.

Does it go off when you restart the car and comes on during acceleration?
It goes off and comes back each time I restart the car, even before I accelerate. Well, considering what it used to be, the car runs very well now.
Car TalkRe: 2008 Honda Accord Issues by papiroza(op): 5:57am On Feb 09, 2016
So, I took the vehicle to car doctor for a look after i have changed the camshaft sensors without any improvement . He performed the magic and the car now runs super well. However, the VSA and CEL remained on. According to him, he checked all the electrical wire connections on the vehicle. Further checks revealed that the timing is incorrect. He corrected it and now the car runs super. Infact, we did 180km/hr while test-driving (the car couldn't do more than 120km/hr before).

I still wish the VSA and CEL get off the car, even though cardoctor said I can drive with the lights on. According to him, every trace points to the fault coming from the ECU. He suggested changing the ECU for the problem to be solved and I'm not ready for that yet. Thanks everyone for your contributions.

adanny01:
I see you have seen our own replacement on the thread www.nairaland.com/2384754/advice-needed-repair-2008-honda/2

Your code simply means the timing is incorrect. I wouldnt suggest opening the engine you just bought. Its just possible the chain is stretched up and jumped a sprocket or 2. A new chain and tensioner plus proper timing setting should solve it. The job wouldnt take more than an hour. The risks are upsetting the VTC actuator which will start the morning sound. Another risk is getting oil leakages if chain cover is not sealed right.

Seller of the engine gave only 1week guarantee. I suggest you get another engine from the seller but i know they would play hard to get. We fired that engine to Kaduna and back twice in the week to make sure the engine wont throw a code or make a strange noise anytime soon.
Yes, I read the thread from A to Z. Thanks.

Well your observation might be different from my experience. I never expect both to be @ equilibrium. We have seen cars where the cat were removed and the car began to misbehave. Put your cat back and get a competent person to check your car. Let them probe into your CAN wiring since you have a p0341 (ecm failure)
Thanks bro. Today, I got my catalytic converter fixed back and just as I suspected, the performance didn't change. I got the car scanned thoroughly by two very experienced mechanics. The error code remained P3041. The last mechanic said the error code could mean two things; faulty Camshaft sensor or that the timing chain is stretched. We changed the sensors (tokunbo, as new was not available) and the codes remained. He's strongly suspecting the chain and advised we check that out. Now I'm getting a little worried because this is a tokunbo engine and I don't want this stress.
Well, I already called the guy who sold the engine and he said he will get someone from honda place abuja to look at it.
My poser is ; is it possible to repair the stretched chain without any implications? Experts, please respond. Thanks
papiroza:
I don't understand what you mean by "destruction of 270k " the catalytic converter removed from is still with me, and I'm beginning to feel it's not the problem with the car, even though it runs a little faster without it. I intend to fix it back this weekend when I have the time. The little research I did on the cat only emphasised that it's importance is basically to reduce pollution via emission. I couldn't find where the removal is linked to any potential engine damage, though I noticed more fuel consumption since the removal, which I was told is expected (I may be wrong though). Thanks for sharing your thoughts....

Destruction of 270k embarassed. Catalytic converter removed. If you are buying that catalyst nothing lesser than 60k. Ecm failure. Run a more comprehensive scan am sure there are more code (s). As for this code get a good hand to get it done for you in ABJ

Do you offer services in abuja? What could cause VSA, CEL and P0341 error code to pop up on a 2008 honda accord? CEL was on before the engine was replaced and after engine replacement, VSA and CEL stays on. Car is sluggish while accelerating. Thanks
Car Talk2008 Honda Accord Issues by papiroza(op):
HI guys. I think I should open this thread having gained valuable information on other threads. Information is indeed power and i must say that had i visited this section earlier, I would have saved a lot of money.

I drive a 2008 honda accord 2.4L. I'm a novice when it comes to cars and I rely on a trusted friend to handle my car issues. The initial problem after I bought the car was noise from the engine whenever I start it in the morning. The metals and bearing were replaced to solve the problem . The noise didn't go after the replacement and I also noticed the car was losing oil(shortage without leakage) after a while. Somehow, the noise got bad and became noticeable when I rev to around 2000rpm. I replaced same parts again. All these while, there was no error codes on the dash, save for TPMS, which pops up and disappears.

Fast forward, when the noise became louder, especially each time I restart the car or rev up to 2000rpm, my obviously incompetent and exploitative mechanic told me to get the crankshaft replaced. I did and the problem wouldn't stop. At this point, the CEL came on and the car wouldn't rev beyond 3000rpm. Also, the car would not idle well anymore.

I decided to replace the engine. I got another engine through a new mechanic in Apo for 270k. Upon fixing the new engine, the car appeared better and the noise was gone.

However, I noticed that the VSA and CEL came on 5 minutes into test -driving the new engine. I also discovered that the car revs well but doesn't gain speed on time. The engine seller, in a bid to solve the problem, suggested I remove my catalyst converter which he claimed was bad. I drove the car without the convertor (I still have mine in the boot of the car). The car ran a little better, but the VSA and CEL remained.

The noise from the engine is completely gone, even when I start it in the morning. The new engine sounds good, but the car wouldn't gain speed on time. Through a friend, the car was scanned and the error code P0341 (ECM Failure) came on. The code was cleared and showed up again. I'm just exhausted. I need to get this right this time. I need a competent hand to handle this. I'm also open to recommendations pls. My location is abuja. Thanks

Clearly, David and whoever wrote this for him packaged it to make him look like the just and haunted. I hate to take sides, especially on matters that I'm not seized of the actual facts. Even though all the claims cannot be verified, the medical report alone proves that Sophia is an irresponsible mother. That doesn't also absolve Davido of blames. I personally don't like his persistence reference to his age "I'm 21, I'm 23". So long you can use your dick at that age, then deal with the shit!
My take is, Dele Momodu acted in bad faith, believing that he could use his media influence to tarnish the image of Davido over a simple family affair. The way forward is to settle the matter on the custody of the child through the courts. That will lay the matter to rest once and for all. Throwing tantrums in the public won't solve it.
