Yeah it takes nice pictures, but saying the camera is not so good is both correct and wrong... Let's not forget we are talking about a phone of range 116k-175k ... Flagship are the only rounded devices... It's well known in tech world that there are tradeoffs in every Device |
Great devices overall... But not built for intensive gaming I suppose (no budget smartphone is built for that). As long as it performs my daily task perfectly |
StarBarbiee:The main selling point about the C61 apart from the norms is it's durability |
Whole still keeping the price affordable to the average Nigerian |
The difference between both phones NOTE 50 and Realme C61 will be treated in our next post... But Realme C61 is a more premium package than the Note 50... |
REALME in Nigeria: Contender, King, Sensation, or Something Else? The latter half of 2024, particularly Q3 and Q4, has been an exciting time for smartphone enthusiasts, with numerous brands launching impressive devices across various segments. If you've been keeping up with the tech media this quarter, you've likely heard of Realme—a Chinese smartphone brand recognized for delivering outstanding performance and features at budget-friendly prices. They made their debut in Nigeria with the Realme Note 50 in October, followed by the Realme C61 in November. The C61 has been generating buzz thanks to its catchy tagline, claims by the brand, and positive reviews that showcase its capabilities. Let's delve into the brand before discussing their specific phones. Realme has become a popular choice for value-conscious consumers seeking powerful specifications without the hefty price tag. However, some reviewers have pointed out occasional software glitches and quality inconsistencies, particularly in lower-priced models. Key Strengths of Realme: 1. Competitive Pricing: realme consistently provides excellent value for money by incorporating high-end features—such as fast processors, large displays, and capable cameras—into affordable smartphones. 2. Performance Focus: The brand places a strong emphasis on performance with fast refresh rates, substantial RAM capacities, and powerful processors, making their phones suitable for gaming and multitasking. 3. Design Aesthetics: realme devices often sport sleek, modern designs with vibrant color options, appealing to younger consumers. 4. Software Updates: realme is proactive in providing regular Android updates, ensuring users receive the latest features and security enhancements. On the Flip Side A few users have reported occasional software bugs and glitches that might affect the user experience, though they claim this does not significantly impact functionality. While the design is frequently praised, some lower-priced Realme models may have compromises in build materials, raising concerns about durability. In summary, Realme is a solid choice for budget-conscious consumers looking for smartphones with robust performance, appealing designs, and fast charging capabilities. However, potential buyers should consider their individual needs when selecting a specific model. What do you think about the brand and remember to join me on the next one where we will be talking about one of the devices the launched with... Jesutooni:It's 5000mah what do you expect 😀 |
Nice budget smartphone for someone looking for a great bargain |
The processor is good. As you said earlier it's an entry level one, buut this is a budget smartphone... Who expects premium level of performance consistent with high-level chipsets from a phone worth less than ¼ of their pricing. |

Olamideee21:No... They have up to 3/4 phones launched officially in Naija, but you can surely order for some of their devices not present here officially... Just make sure to order Global version |
bioluwatinfe:Subjectively I would say C61 but it actually boils down to what you are looking for in a phone or your Budget 🤔 |
StarBarbiee:SLOT office or website |
I haven't used any other Realme except GT series. I have used POCO, Redmagic... Basically I game a lot... But from what I observed when using Realme the device is up there with top industry contenders. Maybe when I get around to using one of their budget smartphones I can speak on that (but their flagship Killers are absolutely amazing) |
Please don't forget the processor and comparison to phone within the same budget range |
Thank you very much for this 🙏.... I am tired of searching around |
Check For Realme Note 50.... E suit the price wey you get |
Jeffy1206:Haba the problem na say we dey expect Benz at price of okada ... See features wey Dem pack for the price |
Nnachi404:Na two types dey... The RAM different... One na 144k and the other na 180 |
Olamideee21:Both phones are largely similar but C61 has a better camera (50MP compared to 13MP) and it also has a higher RAM. But it is a bit more expensive than the Note 50 |
You forgot to mention it's unbeatable pricing for performance. |
Battery that lasts longer than your to-do list? Perfect for most of us that are living in areas with low light supply |
I have watched reviews and videos to see the results of the camera. All I can say is that AI is revolutionizing everything. Gone are the days you needed to learn how to use the camera all by yourself, AI helps you to achieve your tasks with minimal input on your side |
Upgrade: Because your old phone called and said it's ready to retire. 😎" |
Mobyle:You can get it on Jumia Official store or walk into SLOT |
uncleck:Realme dey recognized all the way from China to India down to Africa basically 3 places with the largest population... You sef go see say Dem dey ground kampe |
Simileoluwa4eva:You can check their official Jumia Store or walk into any SLOT outlet close to you. Just budget within 140-300k and you will get a great device |
Jeffy1206:For that Price tag.. these are one of the best features you can have on a device. You can't buy a Roll Royce at the price of a Toyota. |
Used a Realme GT once.... One thing I love about them is that there catalogue basically has a phone that can cater for a particular problem and it still comes at a great price |
