love is a badass shey you no know ni?
Thats only when u love with ur heart and not ur brain, love got rules and when those rules are not met then it isnt love anymore, there are factors that makes up love Eg! Respect, trust, honesty, loyalty affection, care, understanding, maturity etc just to mention few, which of these mentions does toshiba potray? None cox love comes in when all these are in place and there must be equal partnership, it shouldn't be one sided, Toshiba was only using her to ladder up and not cox he wants to be with her nor love her

Shappire's parents made a mistake by letting her get married to toshiba. he damn not fit to marry nd he is irresponsible. many couples get married cos of pregnancy at the end it will look like putting a square peg in a round hole.
it wasn't their fault but shappire's, they only wanted her happiness notwithstanding they dont like toshiba but they cant stop her cox it might worsen the situation, shappire should be blamed for all that happened from the unset she knew he was a player and still decided not to quit, every decision they say has its consequences and as an adult ure solely responsible for them, I just hope she wont let such reoccur again

Toshiba was always busy, always going to the shop and I was impressed. Maybe my husband is changing after all I thought to myself. Till I started noticing how protective he was on his phone. Every application had a password and even at that, he dared not leave his phone on at night. It was always off while he sleeps.

One night, after downing about 5bottles of beer outside with his home boys cartel.I was with him though and I took just malt and suya, he looked me in the face and told me he had to travel down to school in the morning that his supervisor needs him around so he would submit some chapters for correction. I looked at his eyes and it was rotating like the lie he was telling me and I said "no wahala honi".

That night, I fuc.ked him soo hard that I was sure he forgot his surname. He ba.nged me hard too cause of the influence of alcohol, my Abigail was hurting too but I was hell bent on finding out his escapades so I was eye opened like a fish.

When I noticed he was snoring away, I turned on his phone. Immediately it was on, Jennifer's call came in. With shaky hands, I picked it up and she was like "hello baby, are you still coming for my matriculation?" I didn't say a word and she continued, "baby say something, am sending the address right away" then I replied "Jennifer" she heard my voice and dropped the call immediately

Well, I've been in love to the extent of my own understanding about love. Fondness, yes & everything else.
it sure means u can do same thing or more for the people u truly love no big deal about it, love is contagious only when its genuine/true, it has a particular vibe that make u do things u wouldn't even think ever doing when ure out of love

Why will anyone pick a preference then complain about not enjoying the perks that's not part of his preference? people should know what they want, if manly respect is what someone wants why the complain of girls not spending, BTW this manly respect is just all about low self esteem, you can earn your respect without needing to shower gifts
Bro! that was why I said it has to do with the individuals and what they want...E.g we both see life differently and thats how we act towards it

The whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

No, I'm not a receiver by nature & that's the truth. If you do something for me, I can't rest until I return the favour. It's like a thing that hangs over your head. At least that's how it feels for me. I wanna live my life knowing that I don't owe anybody a freaking thing!
Have u ever been in love?

How does a lady spending on you become a challenge? what is challenging in a lady buying lunch or dinner for her guy or getting him a good birthday gift? unless you are saying it makes you insecure, even rich guys have ladies who spend on them, there's isn't a much ado about it
people got preferences, some african dudes feels its not right not the rich dudes though, a hustling dude that knows what facing life means will want to man up and use that as a ladder just to turn the table round so every one both the lady will see and accord him that manly respect...i have two good friends that are in same situations now and both are doing wow, so it all depends on the individuals involved, what u want and how u want it

Not all Nigerian men, it all depends on individuals and their choices, only lazy dudes with low self esteem will, Any lady who spends on me challenges me to work hard and take responsibilities as a man, her efforts triggers me to stand and defend life as a man

WOW!!!!! I love this story. Beautiful story line. The story is so deep. And the writer's writting skill is one of a kind. I've pitched my tent here. Let me sit back and watch what will become of this Sapphire.
She even said something that amuse me and I quote "I don't even beg him to love my child (his own child too o) all I want is for him to love me"
My God! do you think money can replace a fatherly role? I even pity that unborn child.

Money doesn't make a man responsible

To the wonderful writer SapphirePRINCEX,

Chapter Eight

Before I got to Dorine's village, I bought a local engagement ring and wore on my left middle finger to avoid embarrassing her in her home. My Tommy was not all that obvious but I can't be too sure if her mom had a microscopic eyes.

Her mom was a darling, very accommodating and she helped me cope through their village sunflies and all the local stuffs I needed to adapt to. She cooked everything I requested for, I was soo at peace with nature in their very remote village. She knew I was pregnant even as I tried to hide and tuck in my Tommy. She called me in and encouraged me to be free with her and stop the whole tucking in stuff that it could affect my baby.

Problem was mostly network issues, that I would have to even climb trees before I could call Toshiba. Then, MTN had this package I subscribe with for just 100naira and I get to make my calls free for one full week. So I would hang on the tree for hours talking with Toshiba who was something nice and the others very rude and harsh to me.

Dorine indeed turned out to be a sweetheart both online and in person. She was a semi-Tomboy and I didn't even notice all the while we were close on the phone. Her major problem were mostly disturbing me at night for unending gist and I don't know what to make of her touch touch. I would warn her not to touch me again that if she did I will travel back. Then she will start crying and say I won't be her friend again. Won't be up to 10mins again, she is touching me and making faces at me, then I would have to be the one to cry and beg her to allow me sleep at least for my baby.

If I mention baby, she will just behave and say she isn't leaving me cause it's me o, that her baby needs to sleep so make we kuku rest. I found Soo much comfort in Dorine.

Even when paying bills, She would never let me act like an ajibutter that I was and pay for everything, she must contribute a quota no matter how small it was. She came from an extreme poor background, like I had to lay on the floor at night, poo in a bush, go to the stream but I learnt that money wasn't happiness. You needed to see how happy they were even in poverty which brings me to say, money isn't everything.

Dor-dor like I started calling her introduced me to my first pork and dog meat. That shii is super delicious. Every evening, I would tell her I was heading to the bar to eat either pork or dog meat and I always diluted it with a bottle of Smirnoff ice.

She had two younger sisters who helped out in the house too, they were also fun to be with and they would always laugh at me each time I use the palm fronds to try and sweep the compound.

Dorine's grandparents were still alive, though grandma was sick and was always calling Grandpa to be with her. I knew that even at 96years old, she was still in love with her 107years old husband. Her husband who was a retired soldier in the Nigerian Army was still very full of life and still goes to the farm to get what he and his wife would eat. His only issue was always weighing on himself cause he can't control his bladder anymore but he was way too hardworking for his age. Maybe cause he was in enmity between Dorine's mother and they were the only ones living with them.

Anytime grandma calls him, he will start shouting she should leave him that it signifies he was going to die next after her. You can imagine a man that age is still scared to die. He told me he would get a rich man to marry me that I was way too pretty to be in his village. Grandpa became my paddy too even though Dorine disliked that.
