The Iron pill turned my stomach so bad. Ppl told me to put it in Eba or Semo but I barely eat those cos I was watching my weight during my IVF so I went for the liquid.Use this to search for it on Walmart app: Geri-Care Iron Liquid 220 mg Q701-16-GCP 1 Bottle” or Geri-Care Mineral Supplement Iron 220 mg Strength Liquid 16 oz.

I was taking Vitamin C 500 mg 2xs a day & the iron liquid, I was taking 5 mls 2xs a day. Set a reminder for it. Very helpful. My blood level had never been low & rarely fall sick.

I also take zinc 100 mg & vitamin D 5000 IU once a day (recommended by my IVF Dr). Said blacks have low Vitamin D naturally.

You're a lifesaver. My blood work came out yesterday with no significant improvement in 3 months. It's clearly due to my low dosage:
40mg x Iron
100mg of Vit.C
2000IU of Vit.D daily
... way too low to produce significant results. I've ordered the Geri-Care Mineral 220mg and other supplements and will track my progress for another month. We're still waiting on my husband's genetic testing result. My doctor wants to ensure that he's not anemic before anything. I'll update in a month. Many thanks!!!

True talk dear. I hate hate hate US Dr (s). They drive me crazy. Their textbook practice can be mind boggling & annoying.

U won’t believe I started up with a fertility Dr in the State where I was formerly residing. The Dr fired me like he said he’s no longer taking me as a patient. It broke my heart because that Dr was the best in that State.

As for ur anemic state, buy iron tablet 220 mg & be taking it with 1 g of vitamin c. When I did compulsory genetic testing for the IVF, they said I have a condition causes Anemia (can’t remember the name). I told them back to sender. When the Dr saw the report, he insisted I be placed on fersolate 220 mg, folic acid & vitamin c helps in the absorption of fersolate so my blood level was normal all through. .

Haha! A Doctor fired his patient Totally hilarious!! Thank God it ended in praise.
Thanks for the recommendations. I'll purchase the Iron tablet and Vit C on Amazon. Did you need a prescription for fersolate 220 mg? I couldn't find it over the counter.

Am so tired of life,my husband just told me clearly that his never trying IVF again,that if I can't get pregnant through sex that I should forgot about it,am really tired, so this means I will never get to have my own baby,I will never experience holding my child in my hands

Suddenly for some days now the doctor started texting me ,that I should come let's discuss,I did not go as I have no plan of using that hospital again,the next thing he did was to send me a picture of someone else scan results,that she was one of the lady that did IVF with us and that she is pregnant with triplets

*angry* I won't bother with that clinic if there are other options. Patient care and bedside manners are very important. I believe these experiences that make your testimony sweeter for it will end in praise. Amen.

Inshort mine is a testimony. When they gave me a picture of the embryo / blastocysts, after the PGT test came our normal, I name that embryo & placed that scan result / picture in psalm 91. Then every morning , I’ll open it & pray that psalm & talk to the embryo (weird right). What we do in time of desperation.

Thank God for your testimony. I agree that multiple egg retrievals gives peace of mind. I just wish to implant multiple embryo for twins (if possible) instead of starting over. My doctor has said no! It seems like US doctors follow a textbook manual/script without much deviation to the patient's needs. Four months in and we've only completed genetic testing and waiting on hubby's semen analysis. Testing alone has taken 4 months. I'm currently in counseling for Anemia. Well, they say, whatever is worth doing at all, is worth doing well.

Yes but the second cycle applies only if IVF fails. My doctor wants to keep retrieving eggs instead of going straight to IVF which is what I can't afford on my own. I may have to pay for multiple egg retrievals out of pocket and use insurance for the IVF cycles.

Hi Ladies - I'm new here. I have read the entire thread, started taking the suggested supplements and feel confident with my infertility journey.

I'm based in the US and my employer provides 100% coverage for one cycle of fertility treatments at $0 cost to me. However, my doctor is suggesting two cycles due to low 0.4 AMH and diminished ovarian reserve. I'm worried about paying out of pocket for the second cycle since I'm using an expensive hospital. Instead of egg retrieval and implantation, my doctor wants us to focus on retrieving eggs and freezing as much as possible before considering implantation.

What can I do to maximize that one chance for healthy eggs? She also declined multiple embryo transfer. Is there a huge risk in trying just one time in faith - like if only one egg fertilizes, use that one instead of freezing multiple eggs? I've read your experiences and know its tough on the body.
