Cash, both old and new, are scarce in small towns and rural areas... even if you are willing to part with half of your money as withdrawal charges from POS points. You can't withdraw from banks and ATM machines are not dispensing. In cities, 8 out of 10 POS agents have cash, but with a surcharge of 1 to 5. And not more than 20k at once. If you're familiar with the agent, you can sweet-talk them into reducing the charges and increasing the withdrawal limit. |
