Religion / Indecent Dressing In Nigeria- A Call To Order From An American Example by pasteur: 12:21pm On Apr 20, 2012
America Apparel Ads Banned By Watchdog

The advertising watchdog has banned a series of advertisements by clothing chain American Apparel after ruling that they used "exploitative" images of women likely to cause "serious and widespread offence".

Eight ads on the fashion retailer's website and in a free magazine published in October showed women modelling knickers, socks and sweaters in various poses that exposed their breasts or buttocks.
Following a complaint that the images were "pornographic" and "exploitative", the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) ruled that all but one advert must not appear again.
The watchdog said the nature of the women's poses meant their breasts and buttocks were the focal points rather than the products.

Inspite of the massive promiscuity in the US they still have such a watchdog to check the perversion. Do we have such a watchdog in Nigeria.Even if there is the Nigerian equivalent not altogether asleep and toothless? What with the degrading South African"Big brother Africa" program airing in Nigeria fro some years now and the content getting worst than ever before according to available reports.Which watchdog will protect the youth of this nation from such moral pollution that is readily available.South Africa has one of the highest cases of rape worldwide.not surprising with the kind of programmes aired on their networks.Do we have to wait until our society is overtaken by such vice?
The Nigerian Films censors Board are you still in existence?
Our youths are assaulted daily by suggestive programs on stations like Wazobia,Cool FM and many other obscure stations operating in the country without check.Check out the violence aired on local TV stations not to talk of immorality and the promotion of licentious living. Staff and Presenters in local Radio and TV stations, I appeal to your conscience, you can become instruments of positive change for our society. you cannot afford to fail your conscience because you want to generate revenue. Dont you see the spill over of your progranmmes on the streets filled with youths dressed half naked, exposing breasts and buttocks in public without any sense of shame? Because of what you encourage in your programmes, talk-shows, phone-in shows and music. You can help change all these with the same programmes too.
Our society today is under siege by suggestively clad perverts all over the place.Even in the offices and banks people are assaulted daily with exposed breasts and buttocks by people who are supposed to be enlightened! This ought not to be.Did i hear you say they have even infiltrated some places of worship? Nigeria has the ability to change. The good example from the American Watchdog should serve as an eye opener to all.The system over there works.Yes we can too!
Religion / Re: Does One Need Religion In Order To Exercise Faith In God? by pasteur: 8:25pm On Nov 12, 2011
The Word of God the Bible makes us to know that without faith it is impossible to please God.
It also reveals that the fool has said in his heart that there is no God.
Yesterday or so someone wrote on this same Nairaland that he/she is tired of going to church. There is a spirit of anti-christ roaming around these end times and people need to be careful not to be decieved by useless posts by demonized individuals. As you read all these posts that are evidently written by fellows who have no godly heritage, hold on fast to the truth of salvation in Christ that you have. Grow in grace and be filled with the Spirit of God. Do not allow your faith to be shakened, because these same ones who are being used by the devil to sway others from the faith, may themselves eventually repent and believe the gospel.
Dont be decieved. Heaven is real and hell is also real!
Politics / Re: Ekweremadu Asks Senate To Legalise Prostitution by pasteur: 10:52pm On Oct 08, 2011
It is sad and disheartening to read of such reprehensible suggestion coming from a few members of the Senate on this vexxed issue of prostitution. If senators who make laws have such a mindset as to suggest legalizing prostitution then it is the country is in need of help before it stumbles.
I pray that the concerned God-fearing citizens of this country will rise up raise their voices and not allow this sacrilege to be legalized in our land. When it comes to morals, the western world has nothing to offer Nigeria. Infact they are looking up to Nigeria to help them and our churches are doing just that.
Let the people of God cry out to God for this apocalyptic suggestion from these politicians to be rejected.
Believers kept silent in America and an atheist got a ruling to ban every mention of God to American School children about 40 years ago,now their nation is reaping the bitter fruits of that wrong decision. What with kids and adults machine-gunning teachers and fellow students in school.
Nigeria follow not the multitude to commit evil. The wages or offering of an harlot/prostitute.LovePeddler is an abomination to God. Those who legislate to the contrary will face His full wrath before and on the judgement day.
The song writer wrote, " I dreamed that the great judgement morning
Had dawned and the trumpet had blown
I dreamed that the nations had gathered
To judgement before the white throne,

The rich man was there, but his money
had melted and vanished away,

The gambler was there and the drunkard
And the man that had sold them the drink
With the people who gave them the LICENSE
Together in hell they did swim

And o, what a weeping and wailing
As the lost were told of their fate;
They cried for the rocks and the mountains,
They prayed, but their prayer was too late.
