CelebritiesKanye West Is Now Forbes Highest Paid Musician Of 2020 by pathneluti(op): 10:12am On Jun 05, 2020
https://joteesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/IMG_20200605_015523.jpg

On Thursday (June 4), Forbes reported the 2020 version of its yearly Celebrity 100 rundown and uncovered Kanye West as the world’s most generously compensated performer.

Checking in with 2020 income of $170 million, the rapper positions at number two, simply behind sister-in-law Kylie Jenner, whose very rich person status was raised doubt about a week ago by the magazine because of inconsistencies in the budget reports of her ultra-effective Kylie Cosmetics brand.

https://joteesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/IMG_20200605_015540-768x512.jpg

As per the magazine, West is presently authoritatively worth $1.3 billion. His recently procured tax bracelet is thanks in enormous part to the multi-hyphenate’s agreement with Adidas for his hugely mainstream shoe brand Yeezy, which drove in that equivalent seven-figured number in deals in 2019. Adding to West’s total assets are benefits from his Yeezy clothing line – the brand of which he possesses through and through – just as his music.

https://joteesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/IMG_20200605_015006.jpg

Surprisingly, the following artist on the rundown is Elton John (No. 14 with $81 million in yearly profit), followed intently by Ariana Grande at No. 17 ($72 million) and the Jonas Brothers at No. 20 ($68.5 million). Each of the three newbies in the main 20 are aftereffects of touring: John’s electric Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour acquired an astounding $212 million in 2019 as the second best voyage through the year, while Ari’s Sweetener World Tour earned $146 million.

The JoBros’ hotly anticipated comeback delivered significant profits too, acquiring the young men more than $1.5 million on each stop of the Happiness Begins Tour.

CrimeNigerian Man Describes How He Was Purportedly Blackmailed By SARS by pathneluti(op): 10:06am On Jun 04, 2020
A Nigerian man has described how he and others were supposedly blackmailed by SARS officials who captured him in the wake of getting a hair style.

The Twitter user who claims he and others were rescued with N10,000, said there was a woman who has been in the police cell for two days since he would not lay down with one of the cops.

He said the SARS officials were from the Anti Cultism Unit in Gbagada Charlie Boy, Lagos and they got him before 8pm on Wednesday June 3. @Dav_Okwulili additionally asserted that the security agents captured individuals sitting before their homes and ambushed the individuals who stood up to.

He tweeted;

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE @PoliceNG SARZ (Anti Cultism Unit)

@segalink @YemieFASH

Why i am writing this is basically not because of me, but because we have a messed up & unprofessional set of people being employed without proper process and orientation.

I left my house around past 6pm yesterday to get plastic buckets with a friend because he just moved into a new apartment around Gbagada. On returning, i branched into a saloon to have my hair cut which was around past 7pm. I was done with my hair by quarter to 8pm then paid …and left, i got across the road to take Napep from the salon to where i stay.

The next thing, i saw four men in black, boldly written on their shirt “Anti Cultism Unit” with guns. Then one of them grabbed me from the waist, while he said i should get into the bus, i asked why?…he said, they are police that i should get inside. I obeyed and entered (before i start receiving slaps).

Then i was searched, which i was having just 4k and my atm card, my phone and its charger. They said i should give them my phone, i refused and said that it was private….that they ain’t permitted to search it. They asked what do i do, i said i am a Software Developer and i mentioned the company i work with, they requested for my ID Card, i said i just came to cut my hair and i did not come with an ID (which in my head i said f**k up).

They said i should not call anybody nor use my phone. Few minutes later, a call from the office came in, cause we have been working remotely, i picked and the phone was dragged from my hand, which i didn’t bother dragging cause i can’t afford to start fixing Samsung screen.

(fast forward)… They drove us down to Gbagada Ifako, Yetunde Brown street, to Deeper Life HQ, and to New Garage. Tho while they where driving, they picked more people, even those that where sitting in front of their houses, if you resist, they will use slaps and punches…which i was clearly avoiding, they even used tear gas on one.

We got to the station (Anti Ciltism Unit, Gbagada Charlie Boy) around quarter to 10pm. We came down from the bus with our hands up, which i so felt humiliated and portrayed as a criminal. They removed our slippers… & shoes, took us inside, while they wrote down our names, and went out for second parade. I saw alot of people, both female & male, inwhich more were still being brought in by different units. I over heard some saying they picked them from Ikorodu, OniPanu, Mushin, Oshodi…Bariga & Ketu etc.

One of the girls said she has been there for 2days now, cause she didn’t agree to sleep with one of the policemen. We were treated as criminals, they took us to the passage of the cell, told us to sit on the floor, while more people were brought in.

The odour from the toilet covered the cell, inwhich i had to hold my urine till i couldn’t take it anymore. Not to talk of the cell itself, the mosquito were vampires, they ate the living hell out of me, cause there was no light. For a while I couldn’t sleep.

I woke up more than 20times to find out it was still 3AM. Also everyone was sharing how they got picked. By day break, we were called out by the unit that brought us in. We were taken to the back of the cell to write statement sitting on the floor

They gave us our phones to call someone, one by one, it was in the process i took those pictures, inwhich one of them noticed and requested for my phone, but was smart enough to do the needful, so i was unable to capture their faces. To cut this story shot…

I was finally bailed by both of my friends that have been trying to reach me all through yesterday till today. Note: We were so much that i couldn’t count. But an estimate of the money they made: You will bail one person with “at least N10,000”, nd if you multiply…

N10,000×200 people, we have 2million. Also before you go into the station to see anyone, you will deposit N1,000 at the gate. I can not express this more as everything that happened is still funny to me, cause this is my first time ever, sleeping over in a police…station, combined with how messy this one is. This is just to create awareness of the mess the society is in, cause i believe there are still some people that will spend the next 5 to 7 days in that station.
RomanceWhy Your Relationship Will End In Tears by pathneluti(op): 10:28am On May 26, 2020
WHY YOUR RELATIONSHIP WILL END IN TEARS
https://joteesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/IMG-20200514-WA0007-768x512.jpg

If you’ve been in a relationship for more than 5 months, I must congratulate you because in our present generation where people date for a week and call it quit, you’ve chosen to stay with the same person for more than 5 months despite the odds.

However, duration is not what’s important. We’ve heard stories of people in relationships for more than 2 years still ending up with a sad break-up.

Relationships don’t last anymore like they used to. People are experiencing heart-break by the second.

I know the last thing on your mind is a breakup. I know you love your partner and they mean the world to you.

But should I be honest with you?

It will end in tears… in premium hot tears. Yeah, I mean your relationship. And it’s not because I don’t like you or your partner. It’s not because I’m jealous of your relationship. I’m just stating the facts.

Look, i’m not here to scare you. I’m even here to help you. I want your relationship to last as looooong as it can and that’s why I’m here to share with you 8 reasons your relationship will end in premium tears so that you can work against them.

Here we go:

• you’re already thinking of the possibility of a breakup

• you don’t have a conflict resolution system/strategy

• you make assumptions rather than communicate

• third party syndrome

• there is no level of commitment in your relationship

• you see your partner finish

• you compare your partner and relationship to others.

• you guys are not just meant to be.

https://joteesblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/IMG-20200514-WA0009-768x964.jpg
.

• YOU’RE ALREADY THINKING OF THE POSSIBILITY OF A BREAK-UP:

It is said that once you’re already thinking of break-up as an option, every problem in the relationship becomes harder to solve. Any small conflict and you want to call it quit, you don’t even want to find a solution.

• YOU DON’T HAVE A CONFLICT RESOLUTION SYSTEM/STRATEGY:

In other words, you don’t know how to settle arguments or conflict.

When your partner offends you, do you let them know immediately or do you withdraw and give them the silent treatment? How long does it take to settle an issue? Do you keep grudges or malice? Do you pretend everything is fine even when it isn’t? How do you react when your partner confronts you or corrects you?

It’s important to answer these questions because who knows, you could just be one argument away from a break-up.

• YOU MAKE ASSUMPTIONS RATHER THAN COMMUNICATE:

Overtime, we have established the importance of communication in relationship. Effective communication is the foundation of a healthy relationship.

But what I might have to clarify is that communication goes far deeper than just speaking your mind most of the time, it also has to do with listening to your partner too. You also want to be careful of the way you express your mind.

Assumption is a relationship killer.

Rather than assume things about your partner or relationship, why don’t you ask questions and talk about it? It’ll save your relationship lot of heartaches.

• THIRD PARTY SYNDROME:

Aren’t most of us guilty of this? When our relationship suffers a little hitch, we run off to someone to complain to rather than wait in the relationship and settle things with our partner. We paint our partner bad and always act like the victim.

What’s more dangerous is that this person you tell your relationship problems to may not understand the whole story and therefore counsel you wrongly. It’s a dangerous route to ply and if you’re not careful, could lead to the end of your beautiful relationship.

I don’t even advice anyone in a serious relationship to have a best friend of the opposite sex because even if you guys have boundaries in place, life happens and those boundaries might come crashing anytime.

I advise you work at making your partner your ‘best-friend.’ It’s not easy but you can do it.

Trust me, you don’t need a third-party coming between you and your partner.

Note that if you’re in an abusive/toxic relationship, I advice you speak up and tell someone about it. Please don’t suffer in silence.

• THERE’S NO LEVEL OF COMMITMENT IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP:

Most of us are in relationships for the sake of it and many of us have failed to understand what ‘commitment’ entails. We even see ‘commitment’ as a burden. We want all the benefits of being in a relationship without commitment.

Truth be told, relationship is hard work and beyond the tiktok, triller videos and dates, there’s a lot of sacrifices and compromises that goes on behind the scenes.

Love is a dynamics. One minute you’re so in love with your partner, the next minute, you’re not just feeling it.

Love is more than butterflies in your stomach. Love is more of a decision than a feeling. Understand that someone 10X better than your partner will come along and love means you’ll keep choosing your partner.

• YOU SEE YOUR PARTNER FINISH:

Mutual respect is a very important foundation for every successful relationship.

‘Thank you’

‘you’re welcome’

‘Please’

‘I’m sorry’ should always be included in your daily convo.

Don’t take your partner for granted.

Don’t ever feel entitled to any thing your partner does for you out of love. Always be grateful and appreciative.

Don’t look down on your partner, support them, look good for them.

Appreciate your partner.

Avoid ‘see finish’.

• YOU COMPARE YOUR PARTNER/RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS:

This is something we all do whether we are conscious of it or not.

Trust me, every beautiful relationship has a ‘behind the scenes’ that you don’t know about because they don’t show it and it’s not their fault, we all like to share only good things.

So, stop comparing your relationships with others.

And stop comparing your partner to your ex or to other people. If you feel there’s something you would love in your partner, tell them and help them achieve it.

Face your partner headlong and work towards making things better between the two of you guys.

• YOU GUYS ARE NOT JUST MEANT TO BE:

Let’s just be honest with ourselves, sometimes the relationship doesn’t just work out no matter hard you try. And you have to accept that. Stop feeling like you’re the one at fault. Sometimes it’s your partner- they just don’t love you anymore, they just lose interest in you and in the relationship.

Remember that it takes two people to make a relationship work. You don’t have to keep sticking your head in a relationship that is clearly leading nowhere.

Respect yourself. Accept that your partner is an asshole and move on. Someone better is surely coming along the way.

Yikes!!!

Ancelotti is one of only three managers to have won the UEFA Champions League three times (twice with Milan and once with Real Madrid), and one of only two to have managed teams in four finals. He has won the FIFA Club World Cup twice, managing Milan and Real Madrid.

“This is a great club with a rich history and a very passionate fan base. There is a clear vision from the Owner and the Board to deliver success and trophies.

That is something that appeals to me as a manager and I am thrilled at the prospect of being able to work with everybody at the Club to help make that vision a reality.

“I have seen from the performances in the last two weeks that the players are capable of so much. The work Duncan has done is a great credit to him.

Strong organisation, strong discipline and the right motivation are some of the key ingredients in football and I’m pleased that he will be part of my backroom team moving forward,” Ancelotti said.

SportsIheanacho: My Performance Came As A Result Of Hardwork by pathneluti(op): 8:02pm On Dec 02, 2019
Kelechi Iheanacho was thrilled with the way he seized his opportunity after coming off the bench to set up one and score another in the 2-1 victory over Everton on Sunday.

– Kelechi Iheanacho says his performance against Everton on Sunday came as a result of hard work in training
– The Nigeria forward assisted Jamie Vardy before scoring the winner at King Power Stadium

The Nigeria’s first Premier League appearance of the season saw him replace Ayoze Pérez on 62 minutes before he set up the league’s top scorer, Jamie Vardy, for the leveller six minutes later.

City’s pressure finally told in the fourth minute of injury time, as Nigeria international frontman Iheanacho – originally flagged offside before VAR awarded his goal – fired into the bottom corner to seal all three points.

“It was a great moment, [it was] my first game of the season and first goal, so I’m really buzzing – I’m happy today,” Iheanacho said.

“It all came from the hard work in training, I’ve been working hard and keeping my head up and waiting for the opportunity to come. I’m happy it came, and I took it.”

When asked about his emotions as he was about to be introduced, Iheanacho says he was always confident in his own ability as he went on to turn the game on its head.

“I was just concentrating on the game, and watching the game, and how the game was going,” he said. “When the manager said ‘you’re going to come on’, I was confident and, of course, they’re my team-mates – they know what I can do and I know what they can do.

“I know where the passes are going to come. We work together in training and we’ve been playing together, so everyone knows everybody. We’re happy that we had this great moment today.”

I know everyone is happy for me, they’ve been waiting for me to do this, so I’m happy as well. We’re all happy!Kelechi Iheanacho said.

Iheanacho emphasised City’s togetherness at the full-time whistle, and after a sixth-straight Premier League win, he explained why every member of the squad was delighted with Sunday’s result.

He added: “To be fair, this team, starting from the players, to the staff and the manager – everyone – we are all together, so everyone is happy with each other.

“Those who are playing or those who are not playing, everyone is happy. It’s a great squad, it’s a happy place to be.

“I know everyone is happy for me, they’ve been waiting for me to do this, so I’m happy as well. We’re all happy!”
