well, that is because I came in n saw dat op is already buying into a one day license which is not possible wt my help, at least not presently!

D poster who is advising him seems to know a lot but little or nothing abt d present process of applying n getting a driver's license in Nigeria. I won't be surprised she falls into d category of those who brings fake license for renewal, when d truth confronts them, they insist it was one vio or FRSC man dat helped them get it.

Depends on your state of residence. I got mine in Lagos (Licensing Office, Alaka) for #17,000. Got it the same day. I think it's cheaper now.

Preye1599, if it's about your age, trust me, you won't have any issue getting a driving license, provided you "grease palms". But, this is Nigeria, a country where anything goes.

When I got mine, nobody bothered to verify my age. They just collected the money, and told me to get ready for the picture capturing. I got my license (real, not fake) in less than an hour. So, yes, just about anyone can get a driving license in Nigeria.

what do u mean by verify ur age? once ur date of birth is entered, d system calculates n bring out d no of yrs u r, if u had looked thru d application form, u would ve seen dat beside ur date of birth. so if d applicant was to be below 18yrs she/he application will be rejected at dis point!

Basic documents includes: allocation of number, proof of ownership, Cmr, vehicle license, road worthiness n insurance. The last 3 are renewed annually, so u must ensure they r always valid n up to date. Also u should ve ur custom papers n tinted permit if ur vehicle has a tinted glass!

Not forgetting ur driver license!
