Dzizz:
Want to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone who has posted on this thread. I read it religiously for months before my visa application occasionally to the chagrin of my husband who refused to become a believer. Well I got the visa with my husband and child last Thursday in Abuja on a day the lady in cubicle 9 was telling almost everyone who came to her "Sorry you don't qualify. ... blah blah".So God just sent in the nice lady in cubicle 8 who I had what I term a pleasant chat with. My hope sha rose when the malignant woman in cubicle 9 put a pregnant couple on administrative processing though they didn't come with hospital papers. feel so indebted to this thread cos I was so confident in God, the information I got from this thread and my preparation. Many people even surprisingly at d embassy didn't think they would give an obviously pregnant woman visa. So I think I am obliged to post my interview transcript cos it may help someone.
Me: Good morning
VO: Good morning
VO: I can see u have been to US before
Me: Yes
VO: Where did you stay and how long??
Me: New York, 10 weeks
VO: why so long?
Me: Exchange programme
VO: (with a laugh) trust u enjoyed ur self
Me : yea (laughing too
VO: how long u hv been married
Me: 3 years by Nov
VO: (pointing at my daughter) And you have only this 1 child for now?
Me: yes
VO: You are pregnant?
Me: yes. Want to go and deliver there
VO: let me see your documents.
I hand over my MIHS appointment and maternity package and pointed to her d price list section. gave her my hotel reservation when she asked if I knew anyone in Arizona and I said no.
VO: do u know anyone who has used this hospital
Me: not personally but It came with good reviews on nairaland and their maternity package suited me
VO: what do u do and wat is ur monthly income
ME: I am a ..., working with ... and I earn ...
VO: and ur husband?
Hubby: I am a .... With the government and I earn...
VO: let me see ur account statement
I passed d statements and looked at just d 1st page of mine without even d closing balance though my hubby was d main sponsor.
VO: Your visa would be ready on Wednesday. Mk sure u keep all these documents because they would ask u at POE
Me: (beaming with smiles) I know. Thanks
Footnote: God is the ultimate and honesty really pays In this embassy. Once more, thanks guys
Congats dear! I key into ur testimony....

Nightnigeria1: My cousin was trying to convince me to switch to MIHS because she is there right now and got the old price. I just dont know why I would do that if I can get doctoresparati.com for the same price. Ive been reading how accomodations are far in Phoenix, now the crime posted, and the service and now the price? If My visa is approved Im sticking to El Paso.
Haba! Y d lies. Thank God 4 Tvegas dat xposed u. Ur kind r d ones dat spoil tins 4 oda pple. Justwise where r u oooo?

sayoberry: I'm searching Google and everywhere else for apartments or cheap hotels in sugar land o. can't find any. the ones I found are like five star hotels and the apartments are so expensive.
pls I beg o. na beg I beg. if anyone knows of accommodation in sugarland. (I'm planning to use Dr. Le) pls inform me.
Sugarland na big man area na wat do u xpect. Most peeps dat go there hv relatives or dey can afford d apartment. My advise, if u wrkn wit a budget y nt try houston, elpaso or even mihs. Cos d mony 4 accomodation alone no b here oo. Or u'll luk 4 some1 2 share a 2bedroom. D price diff frm 1bed 2 2bed isn't much. I actually got some1 on nairaland too wen she was lukn 4 a house mate in houston bt I later changed my mind 4 mihs. Tink about it

Pricelessamzy: Dear all,
Please how do i go about sending a mail to the US Embassy informing them of my intention to birth in the US. I didn't lie during my interview because i wasn't pregnant as at the time of interview. What information am i to provide in the mail and the email address to send it to. Also does anyone know how much it would cost to birth in Indianapolis. Also the MIHS package is it only in Phoneix? Would appreciate response.

Thanks
obviously u've not done ur homework well by reading thru. well, MIHS is maricopa integrated health scheme. please check www.mihs.org. its for only phoenix, arizona. other states have their own packages . go thru the hread and u'll see different hosp packages. goodluck

[quote author=Nita2013]Fank u so much Fabulousmum. U av been a great friend. Thanks to u all mamas and mamas to be.

My labour was a wonderful experience with exceptional services from d MIHS team of doctors and nurses that were on duty when I gave birth. I was 41weeks and had very low amniotic fluid so they refused me goin home after my antenatal yesterday. They had to induce me to bring baby out but everything was awesome as God was with me all tru. Baby came at 10:06pm weighing 3.6kg and measuring 53cm (21 inches.) this is what every woman should experience as it is a thing of joy that cannot be described.

We shall all continue to testify in Jesus name.
For d remaining that r pregnant, ur delivery shall be stress free in Jesus name. Ur enemies wud be asleep when ur baby's delivery wud take place in Jesus name.
For those trying to conceive, d bible said d fruit of d womb is a woman's reward so that one is settled in Jesus name. God will grant us all comin journey mercies and journey mercies going back too.

I am here incase anyone has any questions.
Cheers

I have been following this trend and I and my husband went for our interview last thursday but we were denied angry as the VO didn't even check our documents. We are reapplying and i know God is in control. However @merrymom and @damsel I would really love to ask you some questions cos somethings about your interview interests me. I would be very glad if you could respond.God bless your hearts and kudos to everyone as well

Snazzygirl: When the time comes, prepare for the interview, and pray. How old are you? if you are admitted to a school, do you intend to bring your family? these are questions that might determine the outcome of your visa interview. BTW, You should be more worried about how to fulfill the pre-reqs and apply to the nursing schools.
i'm 28 dis year. i'm asking cos someone suggested i should go thru masters first instead of undergrad again since i already have a BSc but after while i can change to the nursing program. yes i'll go with ma son... since its ma hubby sponsoring he can't resign from his job to join me. pls i still need advise on wat to do. i've gotten admission into 3 skools in usa and 1 in canada.
