PUME RESULTS This is to notify all qualified candidates that sat for the 2008/2009  POST UME Screening Exercise that the results have been released and are now accessible online. You are required to use you PUME Number to access the result.U CAN CHECK UR RESULTS ONLINE USING UR EXAM NUMBER ON UR PHOTO CARD THE ON THAT STARTS WITH PJ08 CHECK THE  WEBSITE www.uniport.edu.ng u dont need to buy any scrath card.

uniport post ume exams starts tomorow monday the 28th of July and evrything looks set to go lets see how the first day will be i hope they will be no isssues .I WISH ALL THE INTENDING UNIPORT STUDENTS SUCCESS IN THIER EXAMS.

The University of Port Harcourt hereby invites candidates who chose the University as their 1st and or 2nd choice in the 2008 Universities Matriculation Examination (UME) with a score of 200 and above for Dentistry, Engineering, Management Sciences, Medicine, Nursing and Social Sciences; 180 and above for Science; 170 and above for other programmes to a screening exercise scheduled as follows:
Monday July 28, 2008 - Faculty of Social Sciences
Tuesday July 29, 2008 - Humanities, Education, Dentistry and Nursing
Wednesday July 30, 2008 - Medicine, Anatomy and Physiology
Thursday July 31, 2008 - Science, Agriculture and Pharmacy
Friday August 01, 2008 - Management Sciences
Saturday August 02, 2008 - Engineering

The important dates with regards to the Screening are as follows:

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THE POST-UME SCREENING EXERCISE
Candidates are required to come with the following:
• A clear copy of Photo-card printed online
• HB pencil, eraser and non-programmable calculators.
NOTE:
• Candidates’ name on their 0’Level certificates and JAMB results must be consistent with what is filled on the Post UME form.
• Mobile phones, Walkman, Ipod and similar gadgets are not allowed into the Screening venue.
• Candidates are strongly advised to identify their Screening venue prior to the date of their screening exercise as lateness to venues will be unacceptable.
• Candidates must apply within the Pre-registration period as the Application form will be disabled at mid-night on 17th July, 2008.
• Candidates must report to the Screening Venue by 8.00am prompt.

PROCEDURES FOR POST UME REGISTRATION FOR 2008/2009 ACADEMIC SESSION

1. Proceed to any cyber café: Logon to www.uniport.edu.ng
1. Click on PUME Registration
2. Click on Apply Now!
a. Complete the Application Form with your Personal details and required UME details
b. Print a copy of the Payment Slip
3. Proceed to any of the underlisted banks on –campus with two copies of the Payment Slip
a. United Bank of Africa, Uniport Branch (Choba & Abuja Campuses)
b. ECOBANK Plc, Uniport Branch
c. U & C Microfinance, Uniport Branch
d. Intercontinental Bank Plc, Uniport Branch
e. First Bank Plc, Choba Branch
f. Sterling Bank Plc, UPTH
g. FirstInland Bank Plc, Choba Branch
4. Complete a bank payment teller of the amount on your payment slip.
5. Proceed to a cashier and present a copy of the Payment Slip and Bank Teller.
6. Pay your fees as indicated on your payment slip
7. Collect a stamped copy of the Payment slip and bank teller from the Cashier
8. After payment, proceed to any cyber café and logon to www.uniport.edu.ng
a. Click on PUME Registration
b. Click on Complete Form
c. Enter the following
i. Registration Number
ii. Access code on Payment Slip and
iii. Bank Teller Number
d. Complete the Application form with your 0’level and UME details
e. Upload your passport and ensure that you tick the declaration box and print a copy before submitting the form.
f. Print the Photocard – which holds examination identity and details like
i. Examination Number
ii. Seat Number
iii. Examination Hall and
iv. Campus
