Romance / Reasons Why Ladies Lie About Been Raped by paulkush(m): 2:09pm On Jul 27, 2015
False allegations of r*pe can and do happen, but then most women lie about being r*ped find out why they did it; 1. Women lie about r*pe to cover up their infidelity One night, Nicola Osborne got a bit drunk and ended up in bed with a man and they enjoyed “extensive $exual activity.” The episode was entirely consensual and the two swapped phone numbers after they were through. On the way home, it occurred to Osborne that her husband might not think very highly of her “activities” and she became flustered and visibly upset. When pa$$ers-by came to her aid, she told them that she had been forcibly abducted and r*ped by a stranger, sparking a ma$$ive police response to find the rapist. A subsequent DNA test led police to the man whom she had slept with and he was arrested and held for 12 hours. Once the truth came out that the encounter has been consensual, Osborne was charged with filing a false report and sentenced to 18 months in prison. Women lie about r*pe to cover up their infidelity. 2. Women lie about r*pe to explain why they are looking at p**n When Elizabeth Coast’s mother discovered her looking at p**n on the internet, Coast explained that her actions were the result of $exual abuse she had experienced at the hand of a neighbor. Coast testified that when her neighbor was 14, and she was 10, he had $exually molested her. Her testimony was compelling enough to secure the man’s conviction. He was sentenced to seven years and served four of those until Coast’s guilty conscience became too much to bear and she admitted that she had lied about an innocent man. Coast was sentenced to two months in prison for her lie and must pay the man $90,000 restitution. Women lie about r*pe to explain why they are looking at p**n. 3. Women lie about r*pe because they are mentally ill Rosanne England scratched her face, tore her clothing and concocted a story about a man asking to use her telephone and then violently raping her. She gave police a detailed description that happened to match a 59-year-old father of two teenaged daughters who had no alibi as he had been walking his dog in the woods when the r*pe allegedly occurred. The man was arrested and held for 28 hours until DNA tests finally cleared him. He continues to face suspicion from his neighbors about his guilt. England gave no justification for the accusation other than she suffers from “mental illness.” Women lie about r*pe because they are mentally ill. 4. Women lie about r*pe because they feel guilty Kelly Harwood had a few drinks and decided that sleeping with her friend’s son was a good idea. Upon reflection, she decided that she had betrayed her friend by doing so and reported her friend’s son for r*pe. She told police that she had been r*ped while sleeping, and her friend’s son was subjected to an “intrusive medical examination and interviewed under caution.” Two days later, Harwood relented and admitted that she had lied about the r*pe. She suffers from depressive illness, exacerbated by the amount of alcohol she had consumed. Women lie about r*pe because they feel guilty. 5. Women lie about r*pe if the s*x is bad Lynette Lee arranged to meet a man whom she had contacted through a dating site. They went on a date, which ended with consensual s*x in a motel room. Lee then reported the man for forcible r*pe. He was interviewed by police, who then re-interviewed Lee, who confessed to lying about the r*pe because “she did not enjoy the s*x” and “it was bad.” Women lie about r*pe if the s*x is bad. 6. Women lie about r*pe when they fail school exams Rhiannon Brooker knew her party lifestyle was catching up with her when the law student failed her bar exams. She told her exam committee that her performance was affected by “extenuating circumstances” and had her boyfriend charged with multiple counts of r*pe and a $$ault, including punching her so hard in the stomach that she miscarried. She faked her own injuries to support the charges. The accused spent 36 days in jail before police confirmed that he was at work and had alibis for each of the alleged r*pes. Brooker was sentenced to three and a half years for false allegations. Women lie about r*pe when they fail school exams. 7. Women lie about r*pe because of psychiatric medication complications Katherine Bennett had consensual s*x with a national guardsman but then reported to police that he had abducted her from a parking lot, taken her to his house and drugged her and r*ped her at knifepoint before she was able to escape. The police were able to establish that the story had been fabricated but not before the guardsman lost his job and had his reputation seriously damaged. Bennett’s attorney said that Bennett suffers from depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder and “although her condition and complications from medication were not an excuse for the false report, they were contributing factors.” Women lie about r*pe because of psychiatric medication complications. 8. Women lie about r*pe when they want attention Gemma Gregory, desperate for attention from police officers, filed eight false r*pe charges, accusing seven different men over a period of six years. Former boyfriends were subjected to DNA tests and interviews and huge amounts of police time were wasted so that Gregory could have the attention she craved. After recording hundreds of calls with Gregory, the police arrested and charged her with false allegation offenses. Women lie about r*pe when they want attention. 9. Women lie about r*pe to get sympathy Linsey Attridge was having some relationship problems with her boyfriend and needed to win some sympathy from him. She trolled Facebook and found a picture of a 26-year- old man and his 14-year-old brother whom she had never met and reported them both for a violent r*pe. To make her story more credible, she punched herself in the face, ripped her clothing and told police that the two men had broken into her house while her boyfriend was away and subjected her to a brutal attack. Both were arrested and had their lives turned upside down as word of the charges spread throughout the community. Attridge eventually admitted to making the whole thing up and was sentenced to 200 hours of community service. She has never apologized. Her boyfriend dumped her. Women lie about r*pe to get sympathy. 10. Women lie about r*pe to make boyfriends jealous Hannah Bryon was mad at her boyfriend for breaking up with her. Wanting some attention from him and to make him jealous, she told him that a man whom she had been flirting with attacked her on a bridge, r*ped her and then threw money at her to get a taxi. The man whom she identified as her rapist was arrested and put through a stressful examination and questioning but was able to provide police with evidence that he had not attacked Bryon. Bryon was given a suspended sentence and 150 hours of community service. Women lie about r*pe to make boyfriends jealous. 11. Women lie about r*pe for revenge When Cori Lynn Osiecki’s boyfriend broke up with her and started “spreading rumors,” she decided to exact revenge on him by filing a r*pe charge. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where a r*pe kit was collected and an investigation was started. Eventually Osiecki admitted that she had lied about the a$$ault because she “wanted to get back at him.” Women lie about r*pe for revenge. 12. Women lie about r*pe because they are “moody” Isabella Himmel was at a bar and her friend wasn’t paying attention to her, which left her feeling “moody,” so she told another friend that she had been gang-r*ped by a group of male students at the University of Connecticut. That friend believed her story and reported it to police, triggering an action alert to more than 30,000 students and a considerable amount of distress on campus. Surveillance video, however, showed no attack. Himmel then agreed that she might not have been grabbed by the hair and gang-r*ped by five men, but she might have been kicked or she might have just fallen. Himmel must complete a program that could lead to the dismissal of the false r*pe report charges against her. Women lie about r*pe because they are “moody.” 13. Women lie about r*pe when their friends get mad at them Biurny Peguero was extremely drunk, out at a bar with friends, and impetuously accepted a ride in a van with three men. When she realized where she was, she became frightened and hysterical. The men took her back to the bar, and that’s when the trouble started. The friends she had left behind were angry with her and a brawl broke out among the women, who punched and bit one another. When a friend demanded to know if the men had r*ped Peguero, she said that they had. The bruises she had sustained in the fight with her friends were accepted as evidence of r*pe, and one man spent four years in jail on the charge. Women lie about r*pe when their friends get mad at them. Shockingly, this is not even a complete list of the reasons women lie about r*pe, but if anything is clear, it is that women do lie….

I love this state, and the towns that make up the state. I dont know if I will ever like to live anywhere else but Enugu, the way of life of the citizens of Enugu seems to be the best in the country.

Enugu people are very accomodating, hardworking and yet humble. We have everything here and yes, Enugu is working.

In this thread, I will try to change the perception of people about how bad or negative Nigeria is, lets start from where we are. I expect everyone to do something, lets stop the negativity for a while and focus on our positives. There are more good things in Nigeria than bad. You only need to look for it and see it.

I will flood this thread with so many pictures that people will complain, I have about 150 pictures loaded (more will be added this new week), I am ready to paste them here but I will post those in the evening, many towns were covered, many of our landmarks are here. The good, the moderately good and the terrible.

But let me just be posting and typing words for now, explaining some facts about Enugu.

Politics / WEAC Seized My English Result Twice--- Patrick Obahiagbon by paulkush(m): 9:29am On Jul 01, 2015
Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon in an interview with
Punch Newspaper revealed his WAEC Results were seized
twice ‘cos of the ‘big grammars’ he used
Punch: Did you write exams in school in these big
words?
Hourable: I used such words very-very freely in my exams
both at the secondary school and in my university and little
wonder I had the misfortune of my English results being
seized intermittently in my O’ Levels. WAEC released my
results for the other subjects and withheld my English
result. This happened for about three years. Twice, I pa
$$ed the University Matriculation Examination but I could
not proceed to the University because of my English results
that were not released. At the end of the day, it was
released after the third attempt.
Punch: Why do you always use ‘big grammar’?
Honourable: I am not really consensus ad idem with those
who opine that my idiolect is advertently obfuscative. No
no no, it’s just that I am in my elements when the colloquy
has to do with the pax nigeriana of our dreams and one
necessarily needs to fulminate against the alcibiadian
modus vivendi of our prebendal political cla$$.
Punch: How do you talk to your wife, children and even
your friends?
Honourable: I relate with my family and friends very
warmly and in an atmosphere of camaraderie, stripped of
my confutational habiliment and gladiatorial homilies. I am
a very peaceful, calm, level-headed and celestially attuned
soul personality.
Punch: Is this the way you proposed to your wife,
speaking high tech grammar?
Honourable: Of course, the business of the day when I
interfaced with mywife on matters of the heart had to be in
plain Caeser’s languageand you can decipher why that had
to be so. The matter in view did not permit itself of
sphinxian conundrum.
Punch: Do you know that many people don’t take you
too seriously when
you talk because they think you are not
communicating?
Honourable: Why will I be perturbed from ensconcing
myself in the palatable arms of Morpheus because people
have deprived themselves of the cultivation of the regime
of the mental magnitude? I read all the farrago of baloneys
and vacuous bunkum from pepper soup objurgators. The
spirit of animadversion remains their fundamental
human right. It also remains an indubitable fact that I get
millions and millions of requests daily from people all over
the world requesting for my verbal mentorship which
positive cosmopolitan reactions have a$$isted my
equipoise and righteous sense of pachydermatous garb. I
cannot put my nose to the grindstone daily and expect to
be understood by those luxuriating in a modus vivendi,
verging on pepper souping, goat heading, suyaing, big
stouting and isiewulising. Has a philosophical wag not once
pontificated that things of the spirit are spiritually
discerned and that it takes the deep to call the deep? We
will speak more on this matter of critiques and chichi dodo
another day.
Punch: Why do you pull your trousers up beyond the
waist?
Honourable: Hahahaha….That trousers style is called Yohji
Yamamoto. It was my own audacious statement to
remonstrate against the pervasive tendency of
Nigerians especially our youths that took to the practice of
putting on trousers exposing their lower anatomical
contours and I will do it over and over again.

Politics / The Leader Of The 8th Assembly Epic Response To APC Chieftain by paulkush(m): 8:52am On Jun 30, 2015
The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and the Speaker of
House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, have separately
responded to a blistering statement by leader of the ruling
All Progressives Congress, APC, Bisi Akande, who
condemned their emergence as leaders of the National a
$$embly.
Mr. Akande had said Messrs. Saraki and Dogara were
backed by fuel subsidy thieves and business cartels, to
become senate president and House speaker, to frustrate
the anti-corruption plan of the Buhari administration.
Mr. Akande, on Sunday, said the elections of Messrs Saraki
and Dogara were bankrolled and supported by “Most
Northern elite, the Nigerian oil subsidy barons and other
business cartels, who never liked Buhari’s anti-corruption
political stance. . .”
In their separate reactions, Monday, Messrs Saraki and
Dogara described Mr. Akande’s statement as “malicious”,
“false”, “uncharitable”, and “mischievous”.
They both maintained that corrupt oil barons could never
support them given their antecedents in the 7th a$$embly.
‘I EXPOSED FRAUD IN THE OIL SECTOR’ – SARAKI
In his reaction, contained in a statement through his media
aide, Bankole Omishore, Mr. Saraki said but for his efforts,
the public might not have known the rot, fraud and
mismanagement in the Nigerian oil sector.
“Again, the attention of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola
Saraki has been drawn to a malicious, false and totally
reprehensible news report, wherein it insinuated that the
election of Dr. Bukola Saraki as the Senate President of the
8th Senate was facilitated by Nigerians a$$ociated with
dubious claims in the infamous oil subsidy.
“The news report went further to give a negative and dirty
impression that the emergence of the President of the 8th
Senate is aimed to sabotage the anti-corruption posture of
President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government as
well as sabotage the ‘Change agenda’ of the All Progressive
Congress (APC),” the statement read.
It continued, “One of such desperate attempts to justify this
blackmail and others was the story published in
newspapers of Monday June 29 2015 as contained in a
statement issued by the former Interim National Chairman
of APC, Chief Bisi Akande.
“We dare say that the entire story was the figment of the
imagination of the author.
We make bold to state that in the 7th a$$embly, Senator
Bukola Saraki was Chairman of the Senate Adhoc
Committee which exposed the fraud and mismanagement
in the oil sector.
“Until Saraki’s motion on the floor of the senate, no one
was in the picture of the rot in the sector or took any
action. Therefore, surely, Senator Saraki will be the last
person the oil baron will want to see as Senate President.”
“No doubt, we make bold to state that Saraki is the last
person to be so sponsored by the oil barons or cabals.
“In that position, Saraki did not only lead his colleagues in
exposing the rot in the scheme but made very strong
recommendations on how the system could be reformed
and made corrupt- free.
“It is on records that through his motion on the floor of the
Senate, the House of Representatives followed in what is to
be known as Oil subsidy probe and to which Ministers of
Finance and Petroleum summoned and at last over, N500
billion was saved. Certainly, Senator Saraki is the last
person to be so sponsored by the oil barons or cabals,” the
statement added.
The statement read further, “during the Senate hearing on
the missing $20 Billion, for those who attended the public
hearing, Senator Saraki led the onslaught of difficult
questions to both the Minister of Finance, Minister of
Petroleum and other federal agencies despite being in the
ruling party then. To this effect, Senator Saraki refused to
sign the final copy of the committee’s report but rather put
forward a minority report with a press statement that
follow suit.
“Saraki went further to oppose the inclusion of kerosene
subsidy in the 2015 budget as well as his opposition to
Petroleum Swop deal by NNPC. Let it be known therefore
that the Senate Presidency of Dr. Bukola Saraki would not
in any way be a stumbling block against President Buhari’s
posture against anti-corruption.”
He pledged that the 8th Senate under him as the President
would give all necessary legislative support to the
administration to fight and reduce corruption “as his
previous actions and bold step taken against the so called
oil barons indicates that Saraki is committed to anti-
corruption.”
“For avoidance of doubt, we want to make it abundantly
clear that it is totally false, untrue and calculated mischief
to suggest that Senator Saraki’s emergence as Senate
President was facilitated by oil barons. This is a case of
calling the dog a bad name so as to hang it. Another blatant
lies that cannot fly. In any case, Senator Saraki was elected
unopposed as the Senate President, therefore the lies that
he was sponsored by the oil barons cannot hold.
“Senator Bukola Saraki is determined and focused to
achieve the Senate targeted legislative agenda and he is
committed to support President Buhari to deliver on his
promises to the people of Nigeria.”
Dogara Says He Is Committed To Complementing
Buhari’s Agenda
Also, in his response, through his media aide, Ha$$an
Turaki, Mr. Dogara challenged Mr. Akande to name the so-
called oil barons whom he alleged sponsored his election.
Denying link with corrupt oil barons, the statement added
that “In case Chief Akande does not know, the first
investigative motion adopted by the 8th House of
Representatives under the leadership of the Rt. Hon.
Speaker was to investigate the allegation of fraud in the oil-
swap contract awarded by the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC).
“A resolution instituting investigation into the allegation was
pa$$ed with a resolve to constitute an Ad-hoc committee to
investigate the NNPC, as well as its subsidiary, Pipelines
and Products Marketing Company over the swap contracts.
“How then can the House under the leadership of Mr.
Speaker order investigation into activities of those who
allegedly sponsored his election? Chief Akande`s allegation
is both unfortunate and uncharitable.”
Mr. Dogara said he had displayed his commitment to
complement Mr. Buhari’s anti-corruption agenda, since a
$$uming office as the Speaker.
“What we expect the Chief to do at this critical time in the
life of our nation and the APC as a party is to play the role
of an elder-statesman and help to bring warring party
members to the table and not ignite crisis that will further
divide the party that he helped to build.
“Since a$$uming duty as Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara
has not left anyone in doubt as to his stance on corruption
which is the bane of Nigeria`s development.
“Thus, he presented the draft legislative agenda of the 8th a
$$embly to the House last week which among other things
proposed legislations that will help fight corruption.”
“Mr. Speaker has on different occasions reiterated his
resolve to compliment President Buhari`s anti-corruption
stance and insists that the present crop of leaders don’t
have any excuse to give to Nigerians on the change
promised them before and during the election that brought
APC into power,” the statement said.
He said his “antecedence, capacity, experience, being a
team player, incorruptibility and progressive mind and
activities” were the qualities that endeared him to his
colleagues.
“These were the selling points among members-elect that
made him to be elected Speaker.
“Therefore, the allegation by Chief Akande is unbecoming
of a well-respected elder-stateman and a former Interim
National Chairman of the APC.
“It is baseless and lacking in substance and merit and can
best be described as figment of Chief Akande`s
imagination.
“We call on all Nigerians and the general public to
disregard such allegations as they are meant to distract the
new leadership of the legislature from concentrating on pa
$$ing legislations that will help to fight poverty, insecurity,
infrastructural decay, and to revive our economy,” said the
statement.
