This your argument is not tenable at all. The president is a southerner, CBN governor is also a southerner, the banking and finance sector is managed by mostly southerners. Why would a southern controlled sector be biased against its own? lonelydora: |
I will like to visit Epe one day. I was there with my parents between 1977 and 1982 and left when my soldier father and his battalion moved to 242 Recce battalion Mokola Ibadan. I was five years old then but can still reminisced over Epe's unique features like the lagoon, the long and hilly road to school. Even today whenever that long and hilly road is shown on tv I immediately recognized it to be in Epe. That Army barracks, is it still there? I doubt. jagaban002: |
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared winner and given a certificate of return while Atiku Abubakar who came second and Peter Obi that came third are claiming victor. Who then won the February 25th presidential election? Is it Tinubu, Atiku, or Obi? |
Even though I voted for Peter Obi at the presidential election, I knew deep down in my heart that he wasn't going to win because Nigeria is to diverse and large for a section or region to overwhelmingly support a candidate to win a presidential election. Conduct this election a zillion times and BAT will still emerge victorious. The current president, Buhari was a regional candidate for three times and could only win in 2015 when his party CPC merged with ACN and other parties to form APC. Peter Obi performed beyond my expectation but he wasn't going to win with his awful performance in the core muslim North. Similarly, Atiku wasn't going to win with his abysmal performance in the hitherto PDP stronghold of South East and South South. No doubt, the elections were marred by irregularities but had no significant impact in the overall outcome. Atiku was not destined to win and Peter Obi in this case is his spoiler. |
