The President lost his state. The Senate President lost his state. The Party’s Chairman lost his state. The Party’s Secretary lost his state. The Presidential Campaign Council Chairman, Gov Lalong lost his state. Gov el-Rufai lost his state. Gov Ganduje lost his state. Yet they said that the election was rigged by APC. Atiku won his state. Obi won his state. Kwankwaso also won his state but it is Tinubu who lost his state that rigged. 1 Like |

It was the turn of the South to produce the President of Nigeria and it came to pass. I said either Tinubu or Obi will emerge as the winner and it came to pass. I said Atiku has nothing to do with the presidency because Buhari a Fulani man cannot hand over power to his fellow fulani man and it came to pass. I beg my fellow Southerners to accept this result since Tinubu is equally from the South. Let peace reign in the South. Peter Obi will win another day, it's not the end of the road. We should be happy someone from the South is now the President of Nigeria. It calls for celebration. The time we would have protested is if Atiku ventures or tries to take what belongs to the South then Nigeria will breakup and everybody goes their way. |

You too, don't tamper with national peace. Really? You should be telling that to the PDP candidates. Were you in Ghana when a man was caught with $500k raw cash, in the South-South region? PATHETIC!!

Even though I voted for Peter Obi at the presidential election, I knew deep down in my heart that he wasn't going to win because Nigeria is to diverse and large for a section or region to overwhelmingly support a candidate to win a presidential election. Conduct this election a zillion times and BAT will still emerge victorious. The current president, Buhari was a regional candidate for three times and could only win in 2015 when his party CPC merged with ACN and other parties to form APC. Peter Obi performed beyond my expectation but he wasn't going to win with his awful performance in the core muslim North. Similarly, Atiku wasn't going to win with his abysmal performance in the hitherto PDP stronghold of South East and South South. No doubt, the elections were marred by irregularities but had no significant impact in the overall outcome. Atiku was not destined to win and Peter Obi in this case is his spoiler. |

INEC is complicit in this failure, 80% of their adhoc staff arrived late to their polling stations, even private business owners dont stay till 12pm before opening their businesses, these corrupt and incompetent adhoc staff also failed to upload the results from the BVAS claiming network and password error. This was the crux of the failure and sign that INEC was compromised, Dino was right, INEC has commercialized the electoral process, like the judiciary it is only available to the highest bidder. No amount of computerization or digitization will save INEC, its problems are not the processes or systems but the people manning the process. We are tethering on the brink of another 8 years of misrule and abuse. If we dont get this right , then we will never get it right. Nigeria is a classic example of George Orwell's "' Animal Farm". |
