I have been pondering over this issue for long on how many people choose to hide their Bible when going to the ''House of God''. Most times, you will see men using newspaper to wrap it and others especially young guys will choose to put the Bible in their pockets.

The question now is, why do they choose to that way, is it the they are ashame of carrying the Bible in the open or what?

Man was created to succeed. It is the plan of God for us to succeed in everything that we do. But the path you choose will determine the level of success you will attain.
Devil in his path do not want us to succeed at all that’s he is always bust fighting believers from succeeding.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

Friend, I want to let you know that devil have strategies the means of catching believers into his net and that is what we are going to discover briefly in this post.

1. The fear of the unknown:
Fear is one of the means that devil uses to cage people today from discovering their potential. Fear is not of God but of the devil. “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry Abba, Father.” Romans 8:30
Many people live in fear. And fear makes you not to achieve your desires success.

2. Inferiority complex:
God have given every man ability to overcome challenges in life. In fact in Joshua 1:6, God told Joshua to “be strong and be of good courage: for unto this people shalt he divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.”
Maybe you have known how courageous the man, Joshua was, even when he was told with other nine young men to go and look the land. To others, they were like grasshoppers before the men of the land but he alone saw himself as a giant among others.
“ And there we saw the giants, for the sons of Anak, which come of the giants, and we were like in their own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.” Numbers 13:33.

3. Lack of confidence in God’s word:
The word of God is the weapon that believers in Christ are provided with to overcome the devil at all times.
We are meant to be shielded with the words of God and use them to strike the devil when the obstacle arose on our way. But it is very unfortunate that many believe today are short o weapon in their mouth.
Your confession brings promotion to you. When you speak the word to the devil, he hears and understands the instructions and command issued.
“I can do all things, through Christ which strenghteneth me.” Philippians 4:13.
When you are faced with challenges and it seems that you don’t know what to do, speak the word and your ways will be brightened. There is power in the spoken word. You are threatened when you fail to issue the Word to the devil.

4. Pride:
Pride is over-estimation of one’s self. It is impossible to success when pride is in you. The Bible said in James 4:6 “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resist the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

5. Procrastination:
Delaying what you suppose to do today to another day. You should always remember that you cannot succeed if you are always delay event.
Jesus, speaking to his disciples that “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work.” John 9:4.

Friend, if every one of us will eliminate these obstacles in our lives, then we will be on the mountain top of success.
