Politics › Re: Sometimes It's Difficult Not To Associate Boko-haram With APC by PDPblogger: 1:33am On Dec 23, 2014 |
Here's my take.
GEJ will win, and a major electoral upset will take place in Borno state. Tinubu has again sold a dummy to Buhari, the entire South-west is backing GEJ, same as South-East, and South-south. Adamawa, Taraba,Benue, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Plateau and Niger (just to protect IBB from revenge) are going with GEJ. Some Christian Northerners may not be happy with GEJ's response to their plight, but they will never vote for Buhari.
Buhari will only sweep States that share the same border with Niger republic. Plus Bauchi and a marginal victory in Kwara and Kebbi.
My prediction: GEJ - 59% Buhari - 40.5% Others - 0.5%
Again, GEJ is taking Borno, a major upset. Book this space. |

barcanista: @OP: 1. Nobody is turning people against the President, the President's failure is making people turn their back against him.
2. Buhari will win 2015 and any form of insurgency, be it Boko Haram, Niger Delta or Biafra Zionist or whatever will be crushed by the Government of Muhammadu Buhari. He is not a weakling...
3. Stop threatening Nigerians, we shall collectively vote Muhammadu Buhari and the APC. If Jonathan had taken care of insurgency and corruption, his ratings would have gone higher.
People vote out incumbents when they fail or are perceived failures. Jonathan should work and stop blaming Opposition for his negative political fortunes Sir, which of the APC/Boko Haram media propaganda team do you belong to? Team A or Team B? |

The only area i disagree with this article is refering to Buhari as an alternative to Pres Jonathan. GEJ has no alternative until 2019. Period |

I don't pray to live in a country ruled by those aggrieved criminals.. APC is a party of frustration left right and centre. |

Aksonman: If today's declaration rally in Abuja was an APC affair, here's what we would have had:
- Dino Melaye (former PDP member) will mount podium as MC and waste precious time insulting PDP, Goodluck jonathan and his supporters.
- Gov. Rotimi Amaechi (former PDP governor) will take his own turn to insult the President's wife and his entire village.
- Aminu Tambuwal (FORMER PDP Speaker of house of reps) will appear with his own broom, calling on all Nigerians to vote out the party he claimed to be part of just a few weeks ago.
- Asiwaju, after taking his dosage of anti-parkinsons drug will take advantage of the few minutes of calm his medication offers to swing his broom to the crowd and rain some more insults on GEJ in Yoruba language.
President Goodluck Jonathan all through his declaration speech today did not insult his bitter political rivals in the APC. On the contrary, our President took time out to actually commend Lagos and Rivers (both APC states) on the role they played in tackling Ebola.
Nigeria is blessed to have a President like Goodluck Jonathan and there's nothing APC or Boko Haram can do to dispute this fact.
God bless Nigeria. Abeg just don't waste your energy on APC jare, they are all loonies. One of them just opened a thread claiming he's recieving death threats on Nairaland. |

VERY SIMPLE ANSWER: Ekuweme was an Igbo Christian while Shagari (like Buhari) was a Hausa/Fulani Muslim.
General Buhari was (and still is) an ethnic/religious bigot. End of story. |

Politics › 7 Reasons Why An APC Federal Government Will Fail. by PDPblogger(op): 3:00pm On Oct 14, 2014 |
1. An APC FG will not tolerate criticism like PDP and GEJ can. 2. An APC FG will NEVER appoint South East, South-South and Middle-beltans into sensitive positions. Such position will be reserved for Northern muslims, with Yorubas playing second fiddle. 3. An APc FG will not allow free and fair elections; they will kill and use thugs to remain in power. 4. An APC FG will reverse most of the progress made through privatization and commercialization in Nigeria's economy. 5. An APC FG will end Boko Haram abruptly (Boko Haram will suddenly surrender), most of the Southern or Christian soldiers used to pursue the war on terror will be retired or decommissioned and replaced with Northern Muslim soldiers. 6. Opening prayers at the Federal Executive council meetings will be in Arabic. 7. Aso-rock villa chapel will be closed for rehabilitation, that will take years. |

Politics › My 7 Thoughts On The New Shekau Video. by PDPblogger(op): 3:52pm On Oct 02, 2014*. Modified: 4:19pm On Oct 02, 2014 |
1. Abubakar Shekau all along may in fact just be a paid actor from Chad, called upon to act these roles. He may as a matter of fact have no real powers at all within the deadly group.
2. He says they've captured towns but still produces videos from the bushes.
3. The real generals behind Boko Haram are being killed by our military BUT Boko Haram is a doctrine, not a person. These Shekau videos are mere distractions.
4. Chibok girls are political prisoners that may or may not even exist. Their alleged or real captivity benefits a whole lot of people in and out of government-PDP or APC. All international security agencies that tried to help us find the Chibok girls may have quietly backed out after discovering the embarassing fact that there were no girls in the first instance.
5. The fact that this new Shekau video did not show his favourite Armoured Personnel Career shows that the Nigerian military has dealt a big blow to the organisation.
6. About the crashed Alpha jet, if Boko Haram had truly downed the jet they would have made the most of if by capturing or showcasing the corpses of two Nigerian airforce pilots involved. The footage used in this video may be from a previous Nigerian jet crash in Niger republic or so.
7. Again, this video may have been shot many months ago with a forged Shekau voice dubbed over its visuals. Technology can do wonders o, especially when a group like Boko Haram has foreign backing. |
Politics › PDP Has Absolutely Nothing To Gain From Recent Ekiti Crisis. Blame APC by PDPblogger(op): 2:09am On Sep 27, 2014 |
Source: http://pdpblogger..com/2014/09/pdp-has-absolutely-nothing-to-gain-from.htmlPDP has absolutely nothing to gain from recent Ekiti crisis. .Blame APC The out going APC governor of Ekiti State Dr Fayemi has barely a month to vacate his seat and hand over to PDP's governor-elect Ayo Fayose, so why the violence?
There seems to be a calculated attempt by the APC in Ekiti to further punish the good people of the state for voting them out, hence the senseless violence. We all recall how prominent Chieftains of the APC reigned insults on the people of Ekiti after the gubernatorial elections, accusing them of voting for 'stomach infrastructure' instead of APC's so called change. The APC has proven itself to be a violent political party grossly incapable of accommodating dissenting views. APC wants power so much that it can dine with the devil and his soldiers just to grab power.
The Nigerian army is currently recording huge successes against Boko Haram; yet no senior APC chieftain has come forth to at least give out a word of encouragement and motivation to our gallant troops. Unfortunately,if or whenever Boko Haram records any successes, the APC will be the first to shed crocodile tears in the Nigerian village square condemning the government for not doing enough.
We urge the good people of Ekiti state not to fall into the trap of APC's evil machinations; stay calm and allow our security agencies take charge of the situation.
We maintain that at the moment, the PDP has absolutely nothing to gain from fermenting trouble in Ekiti State.
Meanwhile, the Minister of State for Works, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye, has condemned the murder, on Thursday, of a former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Chief Omolafe Aderiye.
He urged security agents to fish out those responsible for the murder.
Adeyeye, who described Aderiye’s murder as barbaric, said he was pained that quest by some people to remain in power against the people’s will could degenerate to the level of daylight murder.
He commiserated with the family, friends and associates of the deceased.
