The love of God is unlimited because there is no stop button to His love. God loves us unconditionally and this is why He sent His only begotten son to die for our sins and whosoever believes In Him shall not die but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

Anxiety is a major issue in the world. Statistics show that about 3.6 percent, which is equivalent to 264 million people around the world have anxiety disorder. A large number of people experience anxiety and in my own little way, I have written effective tips on how to deal with anxiety. These tips have been helpful to me and I hope they will be beneficial to you too.

Have you discovered your identity in Christ? Do you know whose image you represent? Knowing your Identity in Christ shapes how you see yourself. For a long time, you have placed your identity outside the word of God because when you peer in the mirror you still see that girl who murdered someone or that man who raped that girl. You have let the guilt beat you up so much that you fail to see the real picture.

It will interest you to know that you are not defined by your actions or what society labelled you. There is one who sees you differently. The weight of guilt is no longer on your shoulders. Your burdens are no longer yours to carry.

On the cross, you were given a new life in Christ Jesus. The finished work on the cross rewrote your history, branded your present and secured your future. The old man was gone and you became a new man. Not just a new man but a new man in Christ Jesus.

This message should influence the knowledge you have of yourself. If the knowledge you have of yourself is outside the word of God that called you chosen, accepted, beloved, set apart, forgiven and the likes then you should discard the thought. You were bought at a costly price. The sacrifice on the cross gave you a new identity. This knowledge should be your solid foundation.

Your Identity in Christ is your image according to the finished works on the cross. Recall what 2 Corinthians 5:17 clearly stated and I quote, “Therefore, if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. There have been so many misconceptions about the Gospel and I am going to address what the Gospel is not because it has been taken it out of context. Some people term the ‘Gospel’ as prayers, faith in God, obedience to the will of God, forgiveness, keeping of the Ten Commandments, payment of tithes etc. The Gospel is not any of them.

The message of the Gospel is centered on four themes which are: the Death, Burial and Resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins and his Ascension into Heaven. If these four elements are not mentioned in the message, then it is not the Gospel.

Apostle Paul said in Romans 1:16 that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Any message, that doesn’t preach about the saving power of God is not the Gospel.

Now, the word ‘Gospel’ means ‘good news’ which is translated in Greek as euangelion and when you hear good news, your normal response is to rejoice.

This is exactly what the message of the Gospel does for us because it is indeed beautiful to know our belief in it grants us salvation.
