Politics / The Man Called Ibrahim Mustafa Magu by peddyholl(m): 7:18am On Jul 13, 2017
The intimidating resume of Magu that give National Assembly sleepless night:

THE MAN: #IBRAHIM #MUSTAFA #MAGU.

Ibrahim Mustafa Magu, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, screened by the Senate for the position of the Executive Chairman, EFCC.
Magu, a Deputy Commissioner of Police is an indigene of Borno State. He attended the Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria, where he obtained a degree in Accountancy and a Masters Degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice. He also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in World Corruption Studies from the University of Hong Kong.
A certified accountant, trained as financial crimes investigator with a background in forensic accounting, Magu has been exposed to training from the United State Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, and the London Metropolitan Police institute.
He is one of the founding staff of the EFCC who served as Head of the Commission’s Economic Governance Unit, EGU, during the tenure of Nuhu Ribadu. In that position, he led many high profile investigations against former governors including James Ibori of Delta State.
The EFCC Boss is a member of the investigative committee convened by National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno on the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the procurement of arms in the Armed Forces from 2007 till date.
No doubt, Magu is a professional by all standards, a courageous investigator and strongly views corruption as a crime against humanity. He said his mission in the EFCC is to ginger up the anti-corruption campaign. His words: “there is the need to make sure that whatever is gotten for common use did not end up in private pockets,” he has said repeatedly. “I am ready and willing to work with everybody without any primordial concerns, I will discharge my duties as the Chairman, EFCC, guided by the fear of God, the overriding interest of Nigeria and the rule of law”, he promised.
The acting Chairman who was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in acting capacity on November 9, 2015, has recorded unprecedented achievements in the history of the Commission. Amongst the over 200 convictions he recorded in a period of about one year is the convictions of the final forfeiture of N34 Billion which was traced to the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Deziani Allison Maduekwe; Interim forfeiture order of the sum of $9.8 Million Dollars and 74, 000 Pounds Recovered From Ex-NNPC GMD, Andrew Yakubu, following a raid in one of his houses in a slum in Kaduna.
Others are the sentencing of former governor of Adamawa State, Bala Ngilari to five years in jail for procurement fraud; sentencing of former Director General of NIMASA, Temisan Omatseye to five years in prison for fraud and sentencing of former Local Government Chairman in Kogi State, Gabriel Daudu to five years in jail for money laundering; recovery of 17 vehicles from Ex- Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde; uncovering of Diezani's $37.5million Mansion and the securing of Interim Forfeiture Order of N50 million on Former Enugu CJ'S Bank Accounts, the list is unending.
Only yesterday, operatives of the Commission, Kaduna zonal office, intercepted a sum of N49million in five large black 150kg coloured sacks following a tip off.

Judge for yourself why he is a nightmares to the National Assembly senate of thieves.
Fellow Nigerians, it is very obvious that the Nigerian Senate is part of the corruption that is killing the country. IF YOU ARE AGAINST THE SENATE FOR NOT CONFIRMING MAGU'S APPOINTMENT KINDLY CONTINUE TO SHARE THIS. Very soon WE SHALL OCCUPY NIGERIA AGAINST the SENATE OF THIEVES.

Politics / Suspect Sponsors False N10B Allegations Against EFCC Official by peddyholl(m): 6:02pm On May 30, 2017
Suspect sponsors false N10B allegations against EFCC official
More facts have emerged over allegations of corruption leveled against a senior official of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC ) Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Madaki
An online had in a report claimed that Madaki owned 474 hectares of land in Nasarawa State worth N10 billion, a N450 mansion worth of house in Wuse 2 and another N200 million worth of house for his girl friend in Wuse Zone 4,
But investigation revealed that the news report on the allegations is unfounded, cheap blackmail, total falsehood and deliberate attempt to bring the image of the official and EFCC at large into disrepute
A source close to the former police officer who prefer anonymity told our reporter that “The land at Anwan Sarkin Mada was sold to Madaki by his cousin, Muazu Ishaq a retired Permanent secretary for N700,000 which payment was made in three installment. The land at Angwan Chediya as it was indicated in survey published in the news was purchased from one late Alh Zakari Jibirin through his friends Alh Abbas Ibrahim, Bagobiri and Abdullaziz Badamasi a.k.a Soja for N600,000 between 2011 and 2012 payment was completed”.
“The land at Angwan Kyero along Madubi Road was purchased in ,2010 from Magajin Garin Bagaji, Kasimu Yahaya through his first son, Hamza kasimu for N150,000.The payment was made through Gaskiya Auta the present APC chairman Karu local Govt and the total cost of these lands was 1.45M as against the purported N10B claimed in the news report been published in some sections of the media especially the online media” the source explains”.
“That the lands at Angwan Monday and Angwan Saka belong to Madaki dynasty, the man behind the false report dubiously collected the survey plans from the family surveyor one Bature Musa and changed the survey name to Madaki after he had cajoled Bature that some Generals wanted to buy large hectares of lands and they preferred individual well known to represent the family preferably Alh Abubakar Aliyu Madaki”.
Magajin Garin Keffi Alhaji Balarabe Ismaila na Kaibo ,the family Head of Maje Gunduma family ,when contacted disclosed that when he was asked to chose someone to represent the family he agreed that the name of Abubakar be used to sell the land as he, Magajin Gari is bedridden hence he chose Madaki to represent the family
He claimed that the family has vast hectares of land from keffi to Gitata all the land belong to Maje Gunduma include “where Army Barracks is located in Keffi is our family land you can go and cross-check the fact from the authority” The family Head said
On the N450 million mansion in Wuse claimed to had been owned by Madaki and another N200 million house bought for his lady friend, the relative challenge the writer to give the exact address of the house in Wuse 2 as well as the seller of the house; how payment was made, which bank executed the transaction, colour and picture of the house in question among other details that would aid independent and proper investigation.
Check revealed that Madaki has only a car and he used to come from Keffi to his office in Abuja every day while he uses his only Toyota highlander Sport Utility Van ( SUV)for his office work and for other run around activities.
One of the commission operatives who preferred anonymity said that the senior operative could not pay school fees of one of his children in the Nasarawa state University till the school closed its portal. He said when the commission chairman, Ibrahim Mustapha Magu heard of the development he shouted and felt bad
Further investigation also revealed that the poultry farms was inherited from his late Father who was a prominent farmer and presently farming activities at the farm were at lower ebb due to financial constraints.
The poultry farm with almost ten pegs, only three pegs were in used with 4,000 birds as against 15000-20000 that his late daddy used to rear . Indications also showed that cattle rustlers struck recently in his farm and made away with 71 cows out of 91 cows in the farms.
Investigations carried out in Madaki’s village- Gunduma and within the anti-graft commission revealed that the brain behind the purported news was a man who has some projects worth over N3B in Gunduma but the commission is investigating the source of his wealth in which he erroneously believed that it was Madaki’s who instigated the probe.
A source within the commission who narrated how the man behind the purported news taught Madaki masterminded his probe said one Monday when madaki was coming to office from home in Keffi , there was gridlock and he called one of his colleagues Hamza Abdullahi in the office to hold forth for him at the meeting but later said the commission has sent him out not knowing the operative and his colleagues were going to Madaki’s village, gunduma to carry out investigation on the man .
Madaki was said to be at the meeting when the man called and told him that EFCC were in his house at Gunduma while Madaki inquired who were the operatives but he said he was in Abuja so, when he got to Gunduma he called and handed over the set to the operatives who turned out to be Hamza, Madaki told Hamza that he was going to his village for operation and he did not brief him but Hamza said he never know the place to be Madaki’s village .
According to the source ,Madaki however advised that they should do their work according to the law and not to harass anyone and he equally advised the man to corporate with the operatives. Around 4pm the man called Madaki and said that they have finished their work but they insisted they were taking him to Abuja ,Madaki pleaded with Hamza so that the man would not be detained and the man was released after writing his statement
It was gathered that the next day the man called Madaki instead of showing appreciation accused him of sending EFCC operatives to his house and madaki denied since then the man has embarked on campaigns of calumny against Madaki, vowed to ruin his name even when he sponsored the publication against Madaki, he didn’t hide it as he was sending the news report to many people including Madaki’s uncle, cousins and other relations .
Efforts to reach out to the man proved abortive as he was not at Gunduma when our correspondent visited his site and most of people at the site looked very hostile when the reporter asked of the man .
