I have heard people talk about schools charging as much as 10k but I will just advise you to get it from state ministry of education and get it am sure its not more than 1 or 2k I finished from University of Uyo too, they give to whom it may concern. That's the one I've been using. |

Sakasitay: What documents does one need to start working when s/he arrives ? are you going to Germany with work visa? Because you sound like you're going solely for work. Shouldn't you be more concerned with admission, funding your BA or getting SL and getting a good interview date with hope of a successful interview? Why don't you just focus on your primary aim which is studying. I'm sure majority of us are interested in part time jobs over there. But first thing first. All I can say is that you shouldn't worry, everything will fall into place. |

MaroCruz: Abuja has already casted! Read back and you'll see the guy who used Abuja address but was delayed for 3 weeks only to be given Lagos after reapplying.
The embassy has already noticed we're abusing the Abuja option that's what I have been trying to point out lately. |

Rimz28: what happens in Abuja own to lagos. Because i am yet to receive my admission letter whats the perks of using abuja. I will really want to know. And putting abuja as your address wont it be different from what you have in your passport data page do you have a valid address in Abuja to use? |

Swithoni: So even if I don't live there I can use Abuja as residence? Wouldn't this cause issues along the line? Wouldn't want to appear dishonest and have the VO toss my things into a waste basket or something I have said this countless times. Abuja embassy is for Abuja residents. But if you must use an Abuja address, please make sure it's a valid address. Not forgetting the fact the you are going to fill your application forms and the expect the said Abuja address. Not just that, your visa will be sent to you to the Abuja address. And if you don't have an Abuja address, stick to your respective addresses and get Lagos. Don't just use Abuja because you're in dire need of interview date. Please let's be guided. |

MaroCruz: Let's pray it's ignored. Else the embassy would become more strict with Abuja appointments. And hope you know your stuff from the embassy would be sent to the Abuja address upon receiving AM. that's where it heading too especially with all these discrepancies. They'd get very strict. |

MaroCruz: Lol and cast himself? not about casting himself. He can explain to them that he relocated to Abuja. Of course, if he isn't a resident in Abuja why would he use Abuja. My opinion though. |

saxony2018: I was only given one appointment . which is Abuja. You don’t seem to understand me. I want to know if there is any need to state that they should disregard the application that I did with Lagos address. yes, there is need. Just inform them to disregard that mail, that you have gotten an appointment in Abuja. It's better to send it with the email you used first. |
Travel › Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by peemyke(f): 4:54pm On Jun 08, 2018 |
saxony2018: No. I was never given an appointment with the Lagos address. I had to use a different email with different current address (My Abuja address) What do you suggest that I do. I really prefer having my interview in Abuja. cancel the first one that was given to you, state your reasons too. Don't complicate things for yourself. |

saxony2018: Hi everyone, I have been finally given 13th July for my interview appointment. I actually had to change my address to Abuja.
Having said that, I am wondering if there is need to inform them to disregard the Lagos address because I used a different email to send that.
What do you think? did you cancel your first appointment in Lagos, before booking this new one? |

Travel › Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 4 by peemyke(f): 5:27pm On May 28, 2018 |
MaroCruz: That hasn't been confirmed yet. She was given early date cos she stays in Abuja.
My enrollment deadline is same as hers, September. Yet I was scheduled for July. The luck that the person travelling in August would have is that some people are cancelling their dates because public unis haven't given them admission yet. I was about to quote him, until I saw your write-up. It's not about enrollment date. I would even advice people here to use whatever admission letter they have to apply for an interview date. Because August is getting full in Lagos. |

victree007: I know someone that went for interview last week. He didn't say anything about a test so don't work yourself up about it. Also, I think that test thing depends on what you are going to study especially for Mathematics related courses from what I've seen before. In recent times I've not seen anyone talk about test before interview. Another friend of mine will go for interview in June so let's see what happens. NB: All what I have stated are not verified facts o. They are my own words and opinion. thank you very much |

Highbeeyajibola: The reality is that this winter people that have gone for their interview are not sharing their transcript here and its unfair, the previous years doesn't use to b so.. . Only few people like eldee, kenthumz have done that. . Please Let's share those experience to help those yet to do. I noticed. Please people that had interview for last summer can help answer the question. I really need to know if M.Sc students write tests apart from oral interview. My date is fast approaching. |

Eke40seven: Myth 9: Once you enter Germany, you become fresh automatically. Fact: There is something about German weather, water, soap or air or whatever that doesn't translate to you having that "UK" or "Yankee" fresh looks for most African people. Most people develop skin spots especially if you are light skinned already. Some people develop dry flaky skin etc. I know this might be more important for girls though. Once you come in, you must and always should look for the right products. In Germany most of the products are developed to "brozen" their skin rather than lighten against what is obtainable in Nigeria. Many of the products might not be right for your skin. The soaps from Nigeria in my opinion doesn't actually provide the ultimate solution in my opinion. In order to pursue that abroad fresh look, you might need biotin and zinc supplements. You will need soap for "sehr trockenen haut" which translates as "very dry skin".
For girls, you can as well waive good bye to "good" braids and hair, it's damn expensive here. You must learn to DIY or you can "tandem" with other girls who also make hair. Many women carry incredibly horrible thorny and abandoned bird nest for hair because of how expensive it is. Learn to make wigs or make your hair and you will excell. Make use of hair products with a lot of oil like coconut and almond oil and if you have good hair, then go team natural or cut your hair and dye it well, it trends here and girls look beautiful on them and it's easier to manage.
For boys, if you can't part with 12 euros for a hair cut every month, then learn to cut your hair yourself or learn to barb, you can make some money that way too.
P.s. Not to sound pessimistic, many people come with fake profiles and rosy unrealistic stories, so that's why my post are actually the opposite. However, it's good you know the challenges and as I give some tips, you can prepare yourself on how to overcome. wow, thanks. It's very informative. |

chuksey1: Wow. So close. When is your enrollment deadline a stated on your admission letter September, my interview is in Abuja Embassy, I have a Master programme admission plus I'm residing in Abuja. Master students residing in Abuja don't really have a problem. I have a friend that did her interview 5 days after applying. |

henriq2: If you apply for interview and you didn't get response after 3 working days, there's a chance it will be omitted.
There's no reason why you shouldn't get date now within 48 hrs of applying because there's no rush for now. So many gets response same day. But in late June and beyond there's gonna be rush.
Always apply before 7am and you will get your date same day. fingers crossed. I'll soon get a feedback from them. Thanks a lot |
