No school will accept you without DOV. So, its better you do your DOV before coming. Moreover, you have a higher chance of getting a student visa than a tourist visa.

HOW DID YOU GET YOUR SECONDARY SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT?
You go to your secondary school and request for your transcript.

I am sorry if what am about to say is blunt, but its the truth. No one can choose a University for you. That is why oyinbo do google. Find a school that offer your course on google and see their application procedure. If after doing all this you are still not successful then the house might assist.

Again bro...I only used transcript in my uni...don't know secondary school use transcript....wha does second school transcript made of? Is it accumulation of past results or what?

If you have attended year one of Nigerian University use the transcript of your year one. It will be accepted. This can also excerpt you from the entrance exam.

Soyedele1: Moneybag100, lest I forget, Yu can do the declaration of age on your own, ur Parents will have to do it on ur behalf(Pls take note).

As Soyedele has said, for Italian embassy don't ever declare any sworn affidavit yourself. Use your mum, dad, or elder brother. After that, take it to the NPC office in your state for attestation of age, Make sure you check all your document for accuracy because if you fail to do that, its at your own peril.

I forgot to add this, even if you have your birth certificate that is less than 1993 i think you must do sworn affidavit and NPC attestation of age. Then, you take this two to Abuja for authentication at the foreign affairs.

Bro, my age on waec diiferent from passport oo....hope a sworn affidavit in court will be okay?.. Which secondary transcript do they need? What info they need on it.

Get the transcript of the school you graduated from. I really don't know why you should have a different age on your passport and waec result. Just make sure the affidavit you will sworn will reflect the age you have on all your certificate. After the affidavit, you will go to Surulere to get NPC attestation of age.

What of those sing waec gce... do we still need our secondary school transcript since we didn't write waec there?
And if it's only waec you want to legalize, it will still cost 100k+?

moneybag my man... how far with evora? I never hear from them.

You will have to get your transcript from your secondary school. But you will use the GCE as your result. its acceptable because i use GCE too.

Oh bro....I thought you did it while you were in Nigeria.....when did you submit your application to the school? Because their application not on now, any application fee? You only had waec right? When was your admission decision out?

Yeah, i did it but i submitted the original result at the embassy when i applied for visa. I actually did because the school said its part of the requirement for visa which was out of fear of not getting the visa. Others didnt submit and they got it. The school is requesting for the original for enrollment. Application will start around December or January.

@Soyedele, I said its important because if you don't do it in Nigeria, you are still going to do it when you get here. I heard its 3 credit if you submit it with your application. I don't know how true is that.

Spot on bro.
oluwaniyin: Masters ohhhhhhhhhhh>
I thought you will need your original certificates for matriculation and enrollment.
This is very serious ohhhhhh...
Is it that someone here in Nigeria will mail the certificates to you?
That is kind of dangerous - no be ordinary paper naw
Yes someone will have to mail them to me. The schools understand whats up with the Nigerian embassy. They allow students to enroll with the duplicate of the result while the original arrive from Nigeria.

oluwaniyin: For DoV, is certificate, authentication and translation of TRANSCRIPTS important or OPTIONAL.
This is due to the fact that it is difficult to get the transcript.
My original certificate is still with the embassy till this very hour. lol. Bros, which level are u? undergraduate or masters?
Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Pelumiv(m): 7:38pm On Sep 17, 2014
oluwaniyin: Please someone should answer and comment on the above questions
Who told you it takes 8 weeks? That is the normal week the dov ought to take but it may take longer. As i am typing i have not collected my DOV and am in Italy. Even about to enroll at School. The schools understand Nigeria do have issues with the DOV so they do give you time to bring it. You can't because of DOV travel to Nigeria, so it means someone is going to get it for you and send it.
