Itzpearlz:

Please does this also apply to license renewal?
If I renew a license obtained some years back but which is now expired, does it start counting from date of renewal (which would be less than 2 years) or from date of initial issuance?

It will count. If and only if you got a legit license number in the frsc database. They usually collect the license from you and send it for verification

luminouz:

U put his picture online?.
For what?

Why are pictures always placed in the newspaper to announce obituaries?

I put that picture up because it shows him in a better state than the one the blog put up which is him in a coma.

It’s so sad. I last saw him 10 years ago at a Christmas party. He was my classmate in Doregos Private Academy. Class of 2004. Class Jester. Very funny kid, and full of life. Was so proud of him for going to study medicine. Sigh. May his soul Rest In Peace. #justiceforgbolade

Thank you for the information. In my college days it was definitely more limited (Maryland) Aetna. I’m actually glad to see this.
MamaOO:

Here’s the screenshot of a current one for you to see for yourself. All insurances have policy limits. So far you’ve not reached your policy limit which in this case is $250K per year, your expenses are covered 100% after a deductible or copay has been has been paid. The hospital admittance fee in this case is $50. Then all other covered services are paid totally.

You just got a UK visa in the Month of May and a decision from Canada in the same month. Ironically the visa office responsible for handling your Canadian Visa application was in London. I don't think that was a coincidence.

*That’s London Ontario*

Now you stated that this trip isn't important to you and you sacrificed your reapplication to give her a better chance. This sacrifice did not go unnoticed by the VO. She was probably wondering why you want your wife to "desperately" see her friend in Canada when there are more important matters on ground like having a baby.

Applying four times within the same period, to three countries out of the Five Country Conference, may have caused them to doubt your purpose of visit.

Yeah, this is the real issue. They appeared desperate. If anyone should reapply it should be mum only. And I’ll take the gamble with Canada again

Go back and ask her if they covered it in full or partially.
MamaOO:

The bolder is wrong! Very very very wrong. Student insurance is not limited and covers quite a lot, including CHILDBIRTH. My friend had a baby on student insurance in 2013 and her childbirth was covered. The insurance she had through the school was Cigna

OP just dropped that he earns 7 figures. That could be 1,000,000 per month or ~ $4000.

If you came to Alberta with your upstream work experience you should be able to earn way more than that in a month after taxes.

Forget about money, do you want free health care? Do you have kids? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

The best advice has been given: land and attain PR status. Get your health card, get your PR card and go back to Nigeria with a renewed perspective. You have to spend only 1095 days in Canada out of a 5 year period. Update your linked in location to Canada and see what recruiters are saying.

I doubt you are married with kids cos if you were, you won’t be this confused.

If you don’t land and lose the PR status, you will feel a lot of regret and always ask “What if?”

Good luck

Do you have birth certificate for her? You have to adopt her and you can’t adopt her if she has living parents.

Utoechi:
Please I need help figuring out how to go about this; I have a daughter who is my husband's cousin, 12 year old. I have been living with her since I got married and I will like to include her in my application as my child. What documents do I need to present? What steps do I need to take to make that possible?

What exactly did the refusal say?

first thing...she should email her international student office. And narrate everything. They can issue a fresh I-20 and she can reapply. She also needs to email the health services office of the university and ask them to write a letter saying they processed the insurance for her. As an international student, you get a “plan” which is not full insurance. It has limits. Dollar limit and I doubt full cost of delivery and labor is involved. If the Sch clinic truly processed the insurance on her behalf then they should take responsibility. If allyou stated is true and she gets the school involved, she has a good chance of approval upon reapplying. Note you can’t appeal the initial decision so it is a fresh application. Also as advised, find a US lawyer to advise better.
