I think you shouldn’t make such sweeping generalizations! I came in this September and I have had 4 interviews! I rejected one, got rejected from another and I accepted two others! I currently have two jobs. In my class, all the nigerian students there are already employed. ALL.

So maybe it’s your location. If it’s not, look into making drastic changes to your CV. Different people will experience different sides of the UK. My advice will always be to be prepared, research into the area you’re heading to and WORK ON YOUR CV.

Also, build relationships and connections with your fellow Nigerians! Don’t rely on only indeed.
I won't argue with you but you can't discredit what I just said based on your account.

I repeat... All that came in September 70 to 80% haven't got job until now. What I stated is the pure fact based on information from 4 different cities.. Then mine making it 5.

I have people in 4 different cities... Most travel 2 hours to their work place. That's the only place they could secure a job. And most of this jobs comes through referer

I now have a job after 5 months of staying idle.

I have to do a specialise certification that restricted others from doing this kind of job and it cost me over 900 pounds before I got the certificate and licence.

Are you paying me to make post on nairaland that I should just stand up and be lying?
BusinessRe: Cadbury, Guinness, Others Lost N472bn To Naira Depreciation – Meristem by Pennyseo2: 2:59pm On Jan 07, 2024
I had a land I wanted to sell for 15million in MAY last year. Someone one priced it 11m but I refused because it's in a developed area by the time I got buyer again it was in September ending and naira has depreciated and I sold the land 14m which when converted i got 9,000 pounds .

If I had sold it 11m two months back and converted the money, I would have gotten 13800 to 14k pounds

This life

Are you in Nigeria?

I am telling you that three months with some Udemy courses isn't enough to land a data science position. Go and look at job listings and most positions require a PhD in computer science. A 9 month data science masters isn't enough to learn anything with regards to data science. The best you could be is probably a data analyst.
I said after getting certified with udemy.. I have been applying for job for the past 3 months.

You are interpreting what I wrote the other way round.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by Pennyseo2: 8:45pm On Jan 06, 2024
tensazangetsu20:
To be honest data science isnt a good IT skill and udemy certifications are nonsense. Most data science positions require a phd in computer science. Software engineering is much better and theres multiple paths in software engineering even parts no one has ever heard about.
Do you understand what you wrote up there? Do you know what data science entails?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by Pennyseo2: 7:57pm On Jan 06, 2024

If you are well skilled especially in IT, you wont even struggle much to be honest.
You will be shocked that with your almighty IT skills one hardly gets invite for interviews hence they didn't see any UK references or having not worked in the UK before or got UK experience.

I have been applying for data science for the past 3 months after getting certified on udemy.. Yet no invite

I have a few tips for the students preparing to come to the UK in 2024

The UK is still one of the best in that it offers a soft landing especially because of the weather and student jobs ( care and warehouse jobs ) but here are a few things to note
1. Don't just search for a school with the lowest Deposit, there's so much more to FINANCE especially on an MSc/MBA course in the UK than the deposit. Search for a school with a flexible payment plan. Make sure you can comfortably pay your enrolment dues when your school resumes.

2. Please plan for Accommodation, there are many students here stranded because they thought they would find a friend or family somewhere to put up with. Book Airbnb at least for a month

3. Have backup funds cos you may get a job in one week and you may also spend the next 90 days searching for your first job

4. Prepare for the Programme itself, Don't just focus on the japa, Plan for the master's or MBA program you're coming for.

5. Prepare for culture shocks and Try to delete some Nigerian mentalities

6. Start Planning your next move from the day you get your student visa approved, if you wait till the end of your MSc to plan your next move then it will be too late.
Which job? I can boldly hit my chest and say over 80% that came in last September has not gotten job till this January. Jobs are scarce now.... Let's stop creating this false impression.
The few I know that got.. Had to travel 3 hours going n 3 hours coming just to work less than 20hours per week n it's only when they are called.

Is it the care job that now ask for 6 months experience? Or the warehouse that don't accept students. Or the indeed that u keep getting unfortunately we have proceeded to the next stage.
We only hear the few positive side and never got to hear the numerous tears, pain and anguesh of numerous people that Japa until you find yourself here before you start knowing the plain truth

What a writeup? Money meant for the poor are diverted to private account and you are writing this? How will Nigeria prosper?

Hi guys
Got admission to Northumbria university
How do I go about paying my tuition deposit
What is an evidence of sponsorship?
The school portal wants me to upload it
Please look for cheaper school.

Northumbria University is not friendly to Nigerians. Their new policy now is fir you to pay upfront. What I mean once you step into the school, you are forced to pay up all remaining fees between 3 months .. That's almost 6 months to graduation

Which course, I will be going by January
Northumbria University is not friendly to Nigerians again. From stories coming from there I will say Nigerians should avoid the school. Unless you have your full fees or can pay up within 4 months
Literature/Writing AdsRe: How I Wasted Million Naira Plus Hiring Writers On Nairaland... by Pennyseo2:
Opp sorry about your lose. You have been a mentor to many here. I learnt a lot from ur thread on ur old account, in fact you made me started blogging ...

Please just know that you can rise above this...for now write your articles your self.

This is your business, only you understand its importance. And as for those that says pay is too small you can as well open a blog, and hire writers then set your pay. Maybe 10 naira per word... Let change start from u guys. .

Some one that cannot give quality writing for 2000 or 3000 naira for 1000 word articles cannot give quality job for same word for 5000 naira they will still come up with same excuse.

Now ahrefs says this keyword is having 20 search volume monthly. They aren't actually right as this might give you 400 monthly searches or even more...

We could see others that rank in same term.

"property settlement in divorce cases in nigeria" 10 search volumes
"settlement of property after divorce in nigeria" 10 search volume
Plus others
You could add this below in the post to make the post longer and also give it a nice subheadings.

Making the whole post 800 to 1000 word length.

Bottom line is that you will easily rank for "divorce settlement in Nigeria" as against "How to file for a Divorce in Nigeria" but this ranking won't come today tomorrow it will come in 7 or 8 months time or even longer. Hence you keep putting in more low content that no one is taking about.

You need like 300 to 500 post to see sizeable traffic to guarantee you good earnings.

Remember that this your blog will only rank or feature very well for Nigerian search quarries.

So stop posting what Nigerians are not interested about and focus on Nigerian search term.

You are getting it already, I love your spirit.

Going through your blog I can see that you are still competing with some high ranking players in your industry for the below blog post I chose to talk about.

Like now there is a post on "How to file for a Divorce in Nigeria" there is no way you can rank on first page as at now but there is possibility of ranking first page as you GROW in trust and authority.

I quickly ran a check on the Google and saw this keyword
*Divorce settlement in Nigeria" you will noticed that only one blog post talks about this in details while the rest are talking about property settlement.

If you can caption your blog post, you will receive good traffic soon

Kingstel was the one who asked you the question about seller information. Since you did not understand, Tradelyn tried to explain to you. Clixmaster then attacked Tradelyn telling him that if he cant post screenshot he should rest. So i told clixmaster that tradelyn was not the one who asked the question, because it was kingstel who did. Please read the thread.

Having said that, i will like to apologise if my post discouraged you from sharing your success with us. That was not my intention. I assumed that adsense rolls out changes to all accounts just like the recent tax info requirements and assumed you were feigning ignorance. Forgive me

I do appreciate your taking time to share your success with us as it is a source of motivation. Before now it was people like webincomeplus who shared knowledge and income made to motivate us and let us know it is possible to make good money without doing yahoo. Please dont stop sharing.

I will appreciate if you share usernames of journeys on bhw were you learned from so i could read as info there could be overwhelming.

Thanks
Unstood you bro. Welcome

He is not the one who asked the question.
He was just explaining the question to the OP. And the OP should understand what the question is talking about if he uses adsense as he claims because he would have done it on his own account
It's the same guy who asked the question.

Please be inform that Adsense policy & settings do change over time. It's been long I applied and they got my account approved.
Apart from checking earnings, trends and statical performances I have nothing to check again.

If he is serious then he should post a screenshot

I did not claim I only stated the truth from my heart as to alert the youth that we can truly earn and live the better life we have imagined genuinely through blogging, Vlog, apps and other online real business that we often neglect.

The Naira and the economy is really bad and most youth turn to crime while some are being killed in search of job.

I had thought with this post we Nigerians will join the race compete with counterparts in India, Pakistan, Vietnam and other Asians countries who are doing wonderfully well in the tech world.

But response like this is not encouraging honestly.

Under settings section
There is seller's information visibility.

Confidentially or transparency...which did you select and why?
Please Post screenshot

I have an affiliate blog..can you recommend an expert in SEO or in other fields that helped you in your blog since you chose to remain anonymous please
I don't do affiliate blog post rather I do informational content that is monitized via CPC ads like adsense

Get a niche to blog on. Then write good n better post, you can hire content writer or do it yourself.

Remember that this content should be the best on the net, on the other hand you should not go and be dragging keywords rather concentrate on keywords that have not been fully discussed or covered. You can ask for example I can give

You can later build links... Not useless links but links from your niche. This cost from 50$ to 100$ pet link. Type "how to build links" on Google via guest post and outreach.

But please concentrate on contents first, quality content. This should be well covered 800 words length upwards.
Remember that it takes 7 to 24 months to see visible traffics as far as this is new blog.

I don't know any SEO expert. The above is what I do
