European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Cristiano Ronaldo's Reaction After Portugal's Win by Perfectnumber6(m): 10:17pm On Jun 23 |
fergie001: Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal got back to winning ways after a drab draw with the DR Congo in their opener. CR7 announced himself in the sixth minute against Uzbekistan with a sublime Ronaldo-esque finish after a pass from Bruno Fernandes
CR7 got his second via a through-pass in a 5-0 rout against the World Cup debutants, becoming the first player to score in six World Cups and the second oldest player to do so at the Mundial....
After the game .... Ronaldo looked into the cameras, "I am back, I am back"
When asked why he said that: He responded: "“Yes, so people do NOT forget”.
Ronaldo's reaction: "God helps those who work hard. I knew my teammates would help out too. It was a difficult week, a dark week. It felt like I'd retired from soccer. But I hung in there, as I always do, because I believe in hard work more than anything else.
It was tough, I have to admit, but we're back.
"We've improved; that's just how life is. We face setbacks during games and in life, but the main goal is always to improve. And that's what we did. It was a very tough and difficult week, with public opinion being very harsh on all the players, especially on me and the coach.
"But I don't mind. I've been in this profession for 23 years now, and whenever things go well, Cristiano is doing great, but when they go badly, Cristiano is retired, he's too old. It will always be like that.
"But we responded well today. That's what we wanted. We played with a high line, and when we do that, it's hard to stop Portugal."
Ronaldo has now scored 975 goals for club and country! 25 more goals to 1000 goals and it will take centuries to be broken.. G.O.A.T.. He is |
Romance › Re: “pay For Your Food If You Won’t Follow Me Home” – Lady Recounts Awkward Date Exp by Perfectnumber6(m): 12:14pm On Jun 22 |
EmmyMaestro: “Pay for your food if you won’t follow me home” – Lady recounts awkward date experience.
A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing an unpleasant experience she allegedly had with a man she described as her talking stage.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, she revealed that a man she described as her talking stage called her one morning and invited her on a date, saying he had been thinking about her. She accepted the invitation, and they later met up for dinner.
While narrating the incident, she said everything went smoothly at first as they talked, laughed and enjoyed their meal together.
In her words, she said:
“He called me and said, ‘Princess, I would like to take you out on a date.’ We met, chatted and had dinner. Everything was going fine.”
The lady said the situation took a different turn when she informed him that she wanted to leave because it was already getting late.
According to her, the man allegedly insisted that she follow him home after the outing and became angry when she declined.
“He said if I wasn’t going home with him, I should refund the food money and the transport fare. I told him if he couldn’t pay for the bill, he should wash plates for the restaurant,” she recounted.
She claimed she eventually left the venue and made her way home, only to be bombarded with insulting messages from the man afterward.
The story has since generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users supporting the lady’s stance, while others argued that both parties should have communicated their expectations before agreeing to the date.

Romance › Re: The Reality Behind Single Women In Their 30s by Perfectnumber6(m): 8:25pm On Nov 15, 2025 |
drstranged: This is also where most ladies get it wrong. The primary duty of a woman (if she would ever think of getting married and having a family in future) is to her family (husband and kids). Career and financial stability should be a secondary factor for a woman because it is the duty of the man to provide for his family. So when a woman makes her career her primary focus, she sacrifices the chances of having a family. Even such women, when they get married, their marriages suffer to the point of divorce because they put their careers ahead of their family, even while
the man is primarily fending for the home. And to worsen matters for single career women at 30s, the proportion of single men in their 30s and 40s available to these women are very few. Most men in their 30s and 40s are either married or in a serious relationship. Also, as women get older, they lose physical attraction they used to have in their 20s, and most men run away from women in their 30s due to concerns of fertility, tons of emotional baggages they carry (these women would have likely experienced multiple men etc and carry bad history). An emotionally damaged woman is toxic and can never change except via divine intervention. These women fail to use their prime years (early to mid 20s) to hook up and settle down with decent guys that approach them. They can hook up the right guys at their prime this while still pursuing their careers, as long as these guys are supportive. So like a poster earlier said, I too don't pity these single ladies in their 30s. It’s largely due to poor decision and judgement. And my cousin there in Nigeria is showing one rich stabled 33 old lady true love and affection for marriage oo , But the lady in her words said he is not the one for her 🤣🤣🤣 , I just Dey laugh. she is rich and my cousin is well to do too . |
