Tinubu was too fast to remove fuel subsidy. If he had waited for Dangote refinery to start working before removing subsidy the price of Petrol wouldn't have gone beyond N450 per liter. You can see that from this reduction from Dangote. He is here to make profit but he knows that N899 is still a huge price to recover the money he spent on the refinery and break-even. Tinubu did not plan well enough for Nigerians, now that the refinery is working would have been the perfect time to remove subsidy. From N200 to N450 would not have been too much. 2 Likes |
